This paper investigates with a modified gravity model Korean experience of international factor mobility and its impact on trade by using a panel data analysis. While theoretical debates are concerned on the factor mobility and trade being substitutes or complements empirics supported primarily the latter. This paper’s contributions are two folds: Firstly, in investigating trade effect of international factor mobility home country’s perspective is adopted. Secondly, the international mobility of capital and labour is simultaneously considered, which was deficient in the incumbent literature.
