      • 부산지역 대기질에 대한 대기 오염 지수(PSI)의 적용

        The Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) was chosen as an environmental indicator. The PSI is a composite indicator computed from ambient levels of SO2 , TSP,O3 , NO2 , and CO. The daily PSI value is determined by the pollutant having the highest reading for that day. The index numbers are on a scale of zero to 500, the most important number on the scale is 100, which corresponds to the EPA - set National Ambient Air Quality Standars (NAAQS). Scores higher than 100 are considered to be unhealthful. Air quality of Pusan was evaluated by Pollutant Standards Index, which was proposed by Federal Register of the United States. The daily data of pollutants (SO2 , TSP, O3 , NO2 , CO) in 6 air pollutant monitoring sites were used for evaluation. According to the frequencies (day/day %), most parts were still under unhealthful condition. But, this result was why too many data of the high O3 concentration value in summer was missing. As the result, PSI method seems very useful to evaluate air quality, if the air quality pollutant data has no missing one, but it would be necessary to reform in consideration of environment standard of Pusan, in the case of applicating PSI in Pusan, Korea.

        복사전달방정식을 이용한 조사율 추정

        We calculated dose rate using equations to consider radiative processes distinctly. The does rate at Pohang(36˚02'N,129˚23'E) was calculated using measured ozone and meteorological data and two-stream approximations(quadrature, Eddington, delta eddington, PIFM(practical improved flux method), discrete ordinate, delta discrete ordinate) are used in solving equation. The purpose of this study is to determine the most compatible radiative transfer approximation for simulating the radiative and photochemical processes of atmosphere through comparision between calculated and measured values. Does rate of the biologically effective irradiance in the region 0.28-0.32um showed the highest value when quadrature Eddington was used and lower value on condition that delta scaling was applied. Correlation coefficient between dose rate at surface using radiation transfer equation and measured UV-B at Pohang was 0.78, 0.76 and 0.81 when delta Eddington, PIFM and delta discrete ordinate were used. Also, in case of above approximations were used, MBE(Mean bias Error) was within -0.3MED/30min and RMBE(Relative Mean Bias Error) was below 10% between 1200 LST and 1400 LST. Approximations which are compatible in estmating radiative process are Eddington, PIFM and delta discrete ordinate. Especially, in case that radiative process is considered more detail,delta discrete ordinate increased the number of stream is proper.

        Purpose: Because studies about the control of penile erection at the entral nervous system was dependent on the animal experiments, establishment of measuring penile erection is important to evaluate the effects changes at the central nervous system on the penile erection. Intracavernous pressure measurement in rats has been introduced as a suitable index for the evaluation of penile erection but this method is invasive and technically difficult. So, we established the intracavernous pressure measurement in rats as the experimental index for penile erection. Materials and Methods: 42 male adult Sprague-Dawley rats (250-300gm) were divided to saline or papaverine treated group. Rats were placed on a heating table to maintain their body temparature and anesthetized with 50mg/kg of pentobarbital sodium by intraperitoneal injection. A cannula was inserted to the left carotid artery to measure systemic blood pressure. Saline (0.05, 0.1ml), papaverine(0.05, 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0mg) were injected intracavernously via 26 guage needle filled with saline or papaverine which connected to pressure transducer and polygraph was inserted into the corpus cavernosum on one side to inject the drug and to measure intracavernous presure. Results: Properly executed insertion and intracavernous administration produced a instantaneous but transient rise in intracavernous pressure that substantially stabilized and maintained at 5.4±0.4mmHg. Intracavernous pressure and duration of penile blood flow following intracavernous injection of papaverine are increased comared to those of saline. Conclusions: Monitoring intracavernous pressure in rats represents a suitable index for the evaluation of penile erection in small laboratory animals.

        Overactive bladder including frequency, nocturia, urgency ate common and Its cause is decreased bladder storage capacity. Non-pharmacologic therapy to facilitate bladder storage capacity are behavioral, bladder overdistention or electrical stimulation. For behavioral therapy, patient education about lower urinary tract function, information about lifestyle changes or dietary modification, bladder training which includes instituting intervals of timed voiding and gradually increasing these intervals, pelvic floor physiotherapy with or without biofeedback are necessary. For physically or mentally challenged individuals, schedulled toileting or prompted voiding is necessary, too. Bladder overdistention, electrical stimulation or neuromodulation are also used for the treatment of overactive bladder.

        부산지역 시정악화의 원인 분석

        After analyzing the correlation between air pollution and visibility, TSP and NO_2 is responsible for poor visibility in Pusan. After analyzing the correlation between meteorological factors and visibility, general pattern of humidity has clear negative correlation. The variation of wind speed has a positive correlation. In order to investigate the cause of poor visibility in Pusan area, the Andersen sampler and PM-2.5 are used to collect and analyze aerosol. This study was carried out to monitor the visibility using Forward scattering meter and to find out the characteristics and the cause of good visibility case and poor visibility case by measuring and analyzing a variety of parameters, such as particle size distributions, chemical compositions, and meteorological conditions in Pusan. According to the analysis of intensive sampling, NO_3^-, NH_4^+ ion concentration increased together with the mass concentration around 0.5∼2.5㎛ approximately during the case of poor visibility. NH_4NO_3, NH_4Cl, and NaCl were thought to be the major components of fine particles.

      • 마산연안지역의 국지풍 순환 및 대기오염물질 확산에 관한 연구

        To investigate a horizontal windrose and the mixing height in Masan coastal area, a local atmospheric flow and the concentration of air pollutants were analyzed by abserved data from AWS, airsonde and air sampler. The land-sea breeze model and the ISCST2 model of U. S. EPA(Environmental Protection Agency) were used to predict the concentration of air pollutants such as SO2 and TSP. As a result, during spring the principal wind direction in the Masan region is mainly represented by windrose of the WNW and NW, which can be induced by land breeze and the SE and SSW of sea breeze even if weak wind speed. The mixing height during the measurement was marked with the range from 400 m(0900 LST) to 1450 m(1500 LST), and the height of an inverse layer was presented as the range from 30 m(2100 LST) to 150 m(0300 LST). It is very important to cosider the local wind field for the accurate diffusion and movement of air pollutants in coastal urban area. The atmospheric flow was simulated by the two-dimensional local wind model upon considering the orographic characteristics such as land-sea contrast, mountain valley and urban building. The result of air quality simulated by ISCST2 support that the dispersion pattern of the pollutants in that area was followed as local circulation system in coastal urban area.

      • 율촌 LNG 발전소의 공냉식 복수기 사용에 따른 열확산 수치모의

        In this study, thermal diffusion caused by using air cooled condenser at LNG power plant in Yulchon was simulated through in numerical method (Matsuno scheme). The input data of model was used to seasonal wind components (u, v) of automatic weather system (AWS) and seasonal temperature ranges between inflow and outflow of opening air. The aim of this study was twofold : (1) to investigate sensibility analysis of thermal diffusion coefficient : (2) to simulate diffusion of heat source through the calculated effect height for season and stability variations. These sensibility analyses were performed in detail using two case studies one is to apply horizontal and vertical thermal diffusion coefficient as 50 m-ls-1 and 10 m-ls-1, the other is 30 m-ls-1 and 10 m-ls-1 respectively. It is well known that the sensibility for thermal diffusion coefficient is low owning to very similar results. Consequently, thermal diffusion for the first case is simulated by using effect height for season and stability variation. The temperature is under 1℃ at surface whereas that is high at near the center of effect height.

      • 창원지역에서의 대기오염물질 배출량 산정

        Emissions of air pollutants (TSP, SO2, NO2, CO, and HC) was estimated in Changwon city that has the industrial complex and basin terrain. We found that the emissions of TSP, SO2, NO2, CO, and HC were 897 tons, 3,287 tons, 5,706 tons, 10,057 tons, and 1,470 tons for a year, respectively and the main source of air pollutants were vehicle. The ratios of vehicle emissions to total emissions ware TSP 63.8%, SO2 26.1%, NO2 65.5%, CO 91.0%, HC 94.4%. The ratios of industry emissions to total emissions were TSP 30.8%, SO2 60.2%, NO2 25.2%, CO 6.4%, HC 3.7%. The ratio of life emissions to total emissions are TSP 5.4%, SO2 13.7%, NO2 9.3%, CO 2.6%, HC 1.9%. The concentration distributions of air pollutants simulated by ISCST3 model were similar to its emission distributions, and relatively high concentrations of air pollutants occurred in the Palyong-dong (industrial area) and Banlim and Chungang (residual area).

        황사의 확산예측을 위한 기상정보의 시간해상도에 관한 수치연구

        In order to predict air pollution and Yellow-sand dispersion precisely, it is necessary to clarify the sensitivity of meteorological field input interval. Therefore numerical experiment by atmospheric dynamic model(RAMS) and atmospheric dispersion model(PDAS) was performed for evaluating the effect of temporal and spatial resolution of meteorological data on particle dispersion. The results are as follows: 1) Base on the result of RAMS simulation, surface wind direction and speed can either synchronize upper wind or not. If surface wind and upper wind do not synchronize, precise prediction of Yellow-sand dispersion is strongly associated with upwelling process of sand of particle. 2) There is no significant discrepance in distribution of particle under usage of difference temporal resolution of meteorological information at early time of simulation. but the difference of distribution of particles become large as time goes by. 3) There is little difference between calculated particles distributions in dispersion experiments with high temporal resolution of meteorological data. On the other hand, low resolution of meteorological data occur the quantitative difference of particle density and there is strong tendency to the quantitative difference.

      • 거대 점오염원이 주변 대기질에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        In order to show the effect of a vast point pollutant source on air quality of Pusan Thermoeletric Power Plant and its surrounding area, air quality around Pusan Thermoeletric Power Plant was simulated by ISCLT-2 which was supplied by EPA. For this purpose the emission amount of SO_2, NO_2 and TSP was calculated and atmospheric stability was classified for a recent decade(1985~1994) in Pusan. A result of the emission amount showed that much amount of NO_2, NO_2 and TSP are emitted from industrial area. It was clear that NO_2 is much emitted from line source and industrial area. And as a result of classification of atmospheric stability, neutral, stable and unstable state were 58%, 24.1% and 17.9%, respectivly. The result of ai quality simulation by ISCLT-2 showed that Pusan Thermoeletric Power Plant is affecting on the increse of 2.0ppb, 3.0ppb and 5.0㎍/㎥, SO_2, NO_2, and TSP respectively at its surrounding area, site A-3 which was located westward 2.2㎞ distance from Plant
