The important factor to evaluate the running safety of a railway vehicle would be the interaction force between wheel and rail(derailment coefficient), for which is one of important factors to check the running safety of a railway vehicle that may cause a tragic accident. Especially, a newly developed vehicle that first runs commercially requires necessarily the measurement and evaluation of derailment coefficient for securing the safety of a vehicle while measuring the derailment coefficient in view of securing running safety could be the more important factor than any other factors. In this paper, examined possibility that can forecast derailment possibility to behavior of only vibration and displacement by measuring vibration acceleration and displacement in vehicles that travel actuality rail track, and compares with data of wheel load/lateral force result.

한약재의 원료 및 전세계적 외래종으로 알려져 있는 녹조류 청각(Codium fragile)의 디클로로메탄, 에탄올, 열수추출물을 대상으로 하여 생쥐에서의 항 염증, 해열, 및 진통 활성을 조사하였다. 청각의 디클로로메탄과 에탄올추출물은 phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate로 유도된 생쥐 귀의 부종과 충혈에 대한 염증 증상을 74% 이상의 높은 저해 작용을 보였으며, 이들 추출물은 acetyl salicylic acid와 유사하게 발열증상을 억제하였다. 청각으로부터 주된 항 염증 활성물질은 eicosapentaenoic acid인 것으로 분리되었다. 이러한 결과는 청각이 여러 염증 관련 증상에 대처할 약제로서도 사용되어 질 수 있다는 사실을 뒷받침해 준다. Dichloromethane, ethanol, and boiling water extracts of the green seaweed Codium fragile, used as an herbal medicine and known as an invasive species over the world, were examined for anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and analgesic activities in mice. The dichloromethane and ethanol extracts inhibited inflammatory symptoms of mouse ear edema and erythema by 74% or higher. The extracts also demonstrated inhibition of pyrexia, similar to that of acetyl salicylic acid. Eicosapentaenoic acid was isolated from the seaweed as the main active anti-inflammatory compound. These findings are consistent with various claims that the seaweed can be used as remedies for inflammation-related symptoms.
Biological Characteristics and Tissue Structure of a Crustose Coralline Lithophyllum Alga

연안 암반지역에서 해조류 군락의 소실 즉 백화 혹은 갯녹음현상은 산호조류와 관련성이 있다. 대표적인 무절산호조의 생물학적 특성을 파악하기 위하여 18S rDNA 유전자를 분석한 결과 혹돌잎(Lithophyllum) 속에 속하는 것을 확인하였고 그 형태적 특성으로 보아 L. yessoense 종인 것으로 유추된다. Triphenyl tetrazolium chloride로서 활력을 측정한 결과 12월에서 2월 사이가 가장 높았으며, 조직 활력을 유지하기 위하여는 16°C, 16:8 시간 명암 광주기, 30 μE/㎡/s 광도에서 5일간 최적상태를 보였다. 지방산 조성에서는 EPA가 가장 많은 고도불포화지방산으로서 9.7%를 차지하고 있다. 주사형전자현미경에 의한 표면구조를 보면 평균 3.6 μm 직경의 둥근 함몰 분화구 모양을 이루며 그 위에 1.0 내지 3.7 μm의 비정형 다각형 구조물들이 덮여져 있다. 이 같은 조성과 구조를 바탕으로 한 생체모방 산호조는 해조류 등에 대한 환경친화적 방오소재로서 활용되어질 수도 있을 것이다. The disappearance of seaweed flora in some rocky areas, which is known as algal whitening, barren ground, coralline flats, or deforested areas, is associated with some species of coralline algae. To determine the biological characteristics of a representative species of crustose coralline alga, the 18S rDNA gene was sequenced to identify the genus Lithophyllum. According to its morphological and distributional characteristics, it was deduced to be L. yessoense. Viability was measured using triphenyl tetrazolium chloride and showed high viability from December to February. Culture conditions of 16°C, a 16 hr light, 8 hr dark cycle, and 30 μE/㎡/s light intensity were optimal for maintaining the viability of the alga for up to five days. Included in the fatty acids was 9.7% ω-3 eicosapentaenoic acid. An electron microscopy scan of the surface structure revealed round craters about 3.6 μm in diameter, which were covered with rough, irregular, and angular polygon-shaped structures about 1.0 to 3.7 μm in size. Based on the composition and structure found in our study, biomimetic coralline alga might become an environmentally friendly antifouling material against the attachment of soft foulants.

기장 연안 해조류의 해조상 및 군집 구조를 분석하기 위해서 2006년 8월과 2009년 8월에 연구를 수행하였다. 해조류는 녹조류 6종, 갈조류 10종, 홍조류 38종 등 총 54종의 서식이 확인되었다. 이 중 35종의 해조류가 각각의 조사 시기에 공통적으로 출현하였다. 평균 현존량은 2006년에 $616.0\;g\;m^{-2}$에서 $1,462.4\;g\;m^{-2}$였고, 2009년에는 $354.8\;g\;m^{-2}$에서 $965.6\;g\;m^{-2}$이었다. 현존량이 가장 높은 지역은 문동이었고, 가장 낮은 곳은 서암(2006년)과 동백(2009년)이었다. 출현 해조류를 6개의 기능형으로 구분하면, 성긴분지형이 58.7%와 58.1%, 다육질형이 10.9%와 11.6%, 사상형이 13.0%와 9.3%, 각상형이 6.5%와 9.3%, 엽상형이 6.5%와 7.0%, 유절산호말형이 4.3%와 4.7%로 나타났다. 생태지수인 R/P, C/P, (R+C)/P 값은 2006년에 4.00, 0.75, 4.75와 2009년에 5.17, 1.00, 6.17로 나타났다. 2006년과 2009년의 자료를 분석했을 때, 기장 연안의 해조류 출현 종 수와 현존량은 유사하였다. 이러한 자료로 볼 때, 기장 연안에서 시행된 소규모 공사 전, 후인 2006년과 2009년의 해조류 종 다양성에는 변화가 나타나지 않은 것으로 분석되었다. Marine algal flora and community structure were investigated at four sites in Kijang area on the southern east coast of Korea in August 2006 and August 2009, respectively. A total of 54 seaweeds including 6 green, 10 brown, 38 red were collected and identified. Of 54 seaweeds, 35 species were found throughout the survey period. Mean biomass in wet weight was from $616.0\;g\;m^{-2}$ to $1,462.4\;g\;m^{-2}$2 in 2006, and $354.8\;g\;m^{-2}$ to $965.6\;g\;m^{-2}$ in 2009. Maximum biomass was recorded at Mundong site, and minimum was recorded at Seoam (2006) and Dongbaek (2009) sites. The flora investigated (2006, 2009) could be classified into six functional groups such as coarsely branched form (58.7%, 58.1%), thick leathery form (10.9%, 11.6%), filamentous form (13.0%, 9.3%), crustose form (6.5%, 9.3%), sheet form (6.5%, 7.0%) and jointed calcareous form (4.3%, 4.7%) during survey period. The R/P, C/P and (R+C)/P values reflecting flora characteristics were 4.00, 0.75 and 4.75 at 2006, and 5.17, 1.00 and 6.17 at 2009, respectively. Therefore, the number of marine algae species and biomass in Kijang area were similar when they were comparing with the previous data. It suggest that any changes of seaweed diversity have not been observed in Kijang coastal area before and after the anthropogenic construction between 2006 and 2009.

For the safety of railway, it should be evaluated for the running safety by measuring the derailment coefficient. Although railway has run the fixed and maintained rail, some of railway is derailed. This report shows the results that performed the static load test, wheelset manufacturing for test, main line running test on the basis of the derailment theory and experience. It is executed main line test to 120 ㎞/h for estimating the running safety of express train in Incheon International Airport. As the test results, could confirm the curving performance and running safety of Incheon International Airport EMU from the results of the wheel unloading, lateral force, derailment coefficient etc. Derailment coefficient was less than 0.8, and lateral force allowance limit and wheel load reduction ratio were enough safe.
