This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between clothing microclimate and clothing thermal insulation (Icl). The subjects were 6 males and Icl was calculated by Winslow and Herrington's equation, and clothing microclimate and clothing weight were measured. Mean temperature inside clothing (Tcl) that was calculated as arithmetic mean of 5-points (abdomen, ann, thigh, leg, foot) had positive relationship with Icl (p<.01). The simple regression equation between Tcl and Icl is Y=0.160X-3.104 (Y: Icl, clo, X: Tcl>, ℃) (r=0.57, R²=0.325) and the multiple regression equation is Y=0.094X₁+0.035X₂-1.402 (Y: Icl> clo, X₁: Tcl ℃, X₂: Difference between the innermost surface temperature and the outer surface temperature of the clothing at the chest, ℃) (r=0.66, R²=0.435) (p<.01). The abdomen area is suited to predict the temperature inside clothing for only one measurement because Tcl had highly positive relationship with abdomen area (r=0.883). Clothing weight had the highest relationship with difference between the innermost surface temperature and the outer surface temperature of the clothing at the chest (p<.01). In conclusion, through these results, mean temperature inside clothing could be regarded as an index of clothing thermal insulation (Icl).

Every company needs to manage the product data of design-centric to establish TQM environment. In order to control the quality data of design-centric, an apparel worksheet system was developed by using the function of product data management system.

본 연구는 기존의 구조물 보수·보강 및 내진공법인 FRP시트 부착공법의 단점을 보완하고 내진보강 성능을 향상시키는 기술로, 국내 실정에 맞는 맞춤형 고연성 고인성 폴리우레아 보수·보강 재료의 개발을 목적으로 진행되고 있다. 이에 따라 다양한 배합별 폴리우레아의 휨 보강성능을 평가하였다.

This study was conducted to investigate effects of clothing microclimate on physiological responses, especially capillary diameter related to vasoconstriction and vasodilatation. Two male subjects participated in the investigation. Experimental conditions were the dressing lightly (CW), dressing comfortably (NW) and dressing heavily (HW) and type, weight or number of clothing were adjusted for them to feel cool (or cold), neutral and warm (or hot) at 15℃ environment. Capillary diameter, skin and rectal temperature, etc. were measured. The results were as follows. Arterial, venous and loop diameter were decreased in CW and increased in HW and flow velocity in capillary was the fastest in HW (p<.05). Mean temperature inside clothing was the highest in HW and the lowest in CW (p<.05). These results indicate that vasoconstriction or vasodilatation can be visually measured by method of thermal stimulation using clothing microclimate, and clothing microclimate is an important factor affecting physiological responses.
여름철 안전모 착용자들을 위한 안전모용 냉매팩의 개발 및 평가

The present study was conducted to develop and evaluate the safety helmet widely used in various industries by workers in summer. The three methods of the frozen gelled pack test, head manikin test and human wear test were performed to investigate effects of frozen gelled pack inside safety helmet. The results were as follows. First, in efficiency test of the frozen gelled pack, the frozen gelled pack B had a low surface temperature (p<.01) but was heavy. New that was lighter in weight than B remained a similar level. Second, in head manikin tests, surface temperatures in head and vertex were the lowest in HB and the highest in NH. The temperature inside the safety helmet was the highest in OR (p<.01). Third, in human wear tests, considering both weight of frozen gelled pack and effects of light frozen gelled pack on physiological response such as heart rate, sweat rate, mean skin temperature and skin temperature of forehead, cheek, etc., HNew was the most excellent. Subjective sensations did not differ significantly but participants voted that HNew was less hot, more comfortable and less wet on the head.
