Europium$(Eu^{2+}\;or\;Eu^{3+})$-activated calcium aluminium silicate phosphors were synthesized for the first time and the structures and luminescence characteristics of these phosphors were investigated. The phosphors in this study emitted blue, green, and even red light depending on the starting milterials and annealing conditions for synthesis. In addition, the structure was also changed when the different starting materials were used. When $CaCO_3$ was used as a starting material, tetragonal $Ca_2Al_2SiO_7$ was formed. However, pure green light was emitted when the annealing was conducted in reduced atmosphere and red one was emitted by annealing in air. In the case of $CaSiO_3$ as a starting material, triclinic $CaAl_2Si_2O_8$ was formed and only pure blue emission was observed. Moreover, this blue phosphor exhibited higher intensity than that of commercial YAG:Ce phosphor, which showed the possibility of application on the phosphor for new light source such as a UV-LED.

올해는 계미년으로 인쇄인들에게는 뜻 깊은 해이다. 왜냐하면 1392년 태조 이성계가 조선을 건국하고, 3대 태종 이방원(1401-1418)이 왕이 된 후 3년만인 1403년(조선 태종3, 계미년)에 주자소를 설치하고, 금속활자를 만든 것이 '계미자'로 올해가 600주년이 되는 해이기 때문이다.
상상훈련이 뇌종양 환자의 균형에 미치는 영향: 단일사례연구

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 중추신경계 질환 중 하나인 뇌종양 환자에게 상상훈련(image training)을 적용하여 균형능력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 정적 균형능력에 문제를 보이는 한 명의 대상에 대해 AB설계를 사용하여 2010년 11월 8일부터 2011년 1월 21일까지 11주간 주 5회씩 총 20회기를 실시하였다. 상상훈련은 Tetrax, BBS를 사용하여 결과를 측정하였다. 연구결과: 1. BBS 전 · 후의 균형능력 변화 결과로 36.4점, 치료 과정에서는 41.25점, 6주 후 사후 검정에서는 35.6점을 획득하였다. 2. Tetrax 전 · 후와 사후검정 균형능력 변화 결과로 총 6개의 하위항목 중 NC는 기초선 과정에서 26.74점, 치료과정에서 23.44점, 6주 후 사후검정에서 21.55점을 나타내었다. PO는 기초선 과정에서 19.09점, 치료 과정17.09점, 6주 후 사후검정에서 19.94점을 나타내었다. PC는 기초선 과정에서 74.21점, 치료 과정 48.58점, 6주 후 사후검정에서 53.48점을 나타내었다. 마지막으로 HL는 기초선과정에서 28.04점, 치료 과정 24.69점, 6주 후 사후검정에서 26.4점을 나타내었다. 결론: 본 연구 결과로 상상훈련 적용이 균형능력에 영향을 미친다고 볼 수 있었다. 상상훈련 적용으로 균형능력이 좋아진다면 환자의 일상생활이 보다 효율적으로 이루어 질수 있을 것이다. Objective : The purpose of this study is to inquire into the effects of image training on balance if it was to be applied to patients with a brainstem tumor which is one of several central nervous system( CNS) disorders. Methods : The current study employs the AB design on one subject five times per week, a total of twenty, over a period of eleven weeks from November 2010, January 2011, who is suspected to have difficulty maintaining static balance. Imaginary training outcomes were determined using Tetrax and BBS. Results : (1) Using BBS, 36.4, 41.25 and 35.6 points were obtained for baseline, treatment and follow- up after six weeks respectively. (2) During Tetrax testing, NC exhibited 26.74, 23.44 and 21.55 points, PO exhibited 19.09, 17.09 and 19.94 points, PC exhibited 74.21, 48.58 and 53.48 points, and HL exhibited 28.04, 24.69 and 26.4 points for baseline, treatment and follow-up after six weeks respectively. Conclusion : As a result of this study, it can be concluded that imaginary training could have influence on balance. Therefore, patients` activities of daily living will become more efficient if imaginary training does have positive effects on balance.
신축공동주택 실내마감자재의 HCHO와 TVOC 방출특성

In this study, we investigated the densities of HCHO and TVOC emissions polluting the indoor air in newly-built apartment houses. We used on-site measurements, as well as compared and analyzed the changes in the amount of emissions of indoor air-polluting materials according to indoor closing materials through experiments using small chambers. (1) The results from on-site measurement of newly-built apartment houses indicated that the amount of HCHO emission remained below the environmental standards, whereas the amount of TVOC emission exceeded that of the environmental standard value (500 ㎍/㎥), at a high of 79.2 ㎡ and 105.6 ㎡, and a low of 141.9 ㎡. (2) According to the results of the analysis of the amount of emitted pollutants in indoor closing materials through small chamber experiments, the emitted amount of pollutants in all the closing materials reached the highest point on the date of installation, and which gradually decreased for the succeeding 10 days. Theretore, it would be necessary for residents to move into the apartments at least 10 days after indoor closing materials are installed in the site concerned.
