        동티모르 과학교사 연수에 대한 참가자의 인식 연구

        이 연구의 목적은 현재 이루어지고 있는 대한민국 과학교사들이 실시하고 있는 동티모르에서의 과학교사 실험 연수에 대해 대한민국과 동티모르 교사들이 어떻게 인식하고 있는지 알아보는 데 있다. 이 연구를 위해 참여관찰과 설문 조사, 면담이 이루어졌다. 연구 결과, 대한민국 과학 교사들이 동티모르 과학교사 연수를 실시하는 이유는 동티모르 과학교사들의 자발적인 성장을 돕기 위한 것이며, 과학교사로써 국제적인 재능 기부 형태의 봉사활동 수행하는데 있는 것으로 나타났다. 대한민국 과학교사들은 연수를 진행하면서 언어 및 실험 재료 등의 현지화가 절실하다는 반응을 보였다. 동티모르 과학교사 실험연수가 체계를 갖추기 위해서는 동티모르의 과학과 교육과정과 교육 현황에 대한 정확한 자료, 현지 과학교사들의 필요가 무엇인지 파악, 연수 결과에 대한 피드백이 중요하다고 하였다. 연수에 참가한 동티모르 과학교사들은 10년 이내, 20-30대의 교사들이 많았고, 초등보다는 중등교사들의 참여가 많았다. 동티모르의 과학교사들이 연수를 통해 기대하는 것은 과학에 대한 전문성의 심화에 초점이 맞추어져 있었다. 연수 참가시 어려운 점은 언어, 비용, 거리 등의 요인이었다. 연수 프로그램에 대한 동티모르 교사들의 평가는 모든 프로그램이 재미있고, 유용하고 학생들에게 필요한 프로그램이라는 것을 강력히 표현하고 있었다. 또한, 동티모르 과학교사 연수의 최종 목표는 동티모르 교사들의 자생적인 연수 능력 획득에 있었는데, 이러한 가능성에 대한 실마리를 얻었다는 것이 중요한 의미이다. The purpose of this study is to analysis of the cognitions of Korean science teachers and Timor-Leste``s science teachers about the teacher training for the professional development as a science teacher held by Korean science teachers. Most of the Timor-Leste``s Science teachers who participated at the teacher training mostly had their 10-year teaching career and were secondary school teachers. The purpose of the teacher training is to provide the science educational support for them and to encourage their own development; to effectively donate their skills and talents as a science teacher in their country. The data was collected from participant observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results were as follows: many Korean teachers recognized that it is necessary to localize the experimental materials and utilize an appropriate language for the science education of Timor-Leste. Furthermore, until the stable science teacher training system of Timor-Leste is set up, it is necessary to be the precise understandings of the curriculum, the correct data regarding the state of education in Timor-Leste, and the knowledge need to Timor-Leste``s science teachers. Meanwhile most of the Timor-Leste``s Science teachers mostly had some difficulties in using language due to double translation, paying the participant fee, and travelling long distance from their country in participating the teacher training. What they expected at the teacher training was to enhance their professional ability as a science teacher, and to be able to manage the teacher training for Timor-Leste`s science teachers by their own selves.

        과학신문만들기 활동이 초등학생의 과학탐구능력에 미치는 영향과 글쓰기 맥락 분석

        The purpose of this study were to know the effects of making science newspaper activity on the science inquiry process ability of elementary school students and to analyse the writing context about their articles, The 33 sixth grader were participated in this program and they made 3 or 4 make a group, 9 groups made their own science newspaper. The results are as follow: first, there were statistically significantly differences (p<.01) on the basic science inquiry process abilities especially measurement and reasoning on making science newspaper activity. But there were no significantly differences on the integrative science inquiry process abilities; second, according to their articles on science newspaper, in personal context, they used many terms such as ecosystem, producer, consumer, decomposer, balance, but it was not personalized. And in social context, They pointed the cause and solution for the pollution and destruction in ecosystem, but it was superficial, Lastly in physical context, They used well their science concepts from class and format in newspaper in making science newspaper.

        연구논문 : 서해안 염생식물 퉁퉁마디와 염습지의 중금속 축적

        Harvesting of marshfire glasswort (Salicornia europaea) by local people has been increased recently since this plant was known for a well-being food. Even though some harvesting sites are facing high risk of environmental pollution, Salicornia europaea is still harvested on a large scale. Therefore, to investigate safety of Salicornia europaea as a food resource, salt marsh environment, potential harvestable biomass, element and heavy metal accumulations in Salicornia europaea has been studied in three salt marshes, west-coast of Korea. Salicornia europaea showed 150-230g/m2/yr harvestable biomass. Biomass and nitrogen contents of Salicornia europaea were closely related to soil nitrogen and carbon concentrations. Average Na, Zn, Fe, Cr accumulations in Salicornia europaea were 41479, 18, 297, 1.5 (mg/kg), indicating valuable trace element contents. However, average heavy metal accumulations such as As, Cd, Cu, Pb, Hg accumulations were 1.5, 7.1, 4.2, 1.5, 0.1 (mg/kg), which were even or higher than national standards (0.5, 0.5, 2, 2, 0.1) of salts. These results imply that harvesting and eating of Salicornia europaea in west-coast research sites would be harmful because the contents would be much higher if it is calculated as only considering salts and minerals. Therefore, harvesting of Salicornia europaea from some salt marsh in west-coast of Korea should be done cautiously.

        정의적 영역 중심의 뇌기반 진화적 접근에 따른 "생물과 환경" 단원에 대한 초등학생들의 활동 분석

        This study investigated the elementary students’ activities in the affective domain of brain-based evolutionary science teaching and learning approach composed of three stages of diversifying, estimating-evaluating-selecting, and furthering about ‘Living Organisms and Environment’ topic. For this study, 23 fifth grade students participated, and they performed individually the affective domain activities of brain based evolutionary approach about the learning topic. The students diversified their interests about main topic of ‘Living Organisms and Environment’, estimated and evaluated their interest subjects and selected the most appropriate one. And then they furthered their selected interests. The activity diaries constructed by the students, observations by the researcher, and interviews with the students were analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The main results of this study are as follows: First, at the diversifying stage, the students expressed various interests about ‘Living Organisms and Environment’. The students who had higher in both attitudes for biology and science achievement generated more diverse interests. However, the students who had the lower attitudes for biology and lower achievement were uncomfortable or had difficulties in expressing their interest subjects. Second, at the estimating and evaluating stage, the students estimated and evaluated the values of the diversified subjects, then selected the most appropriate oneaccording to individual curiosity, environmental relevance and etc. At the furthering stage, the students who had higher in both attitudes for biology and achievement suggested more interest subjects related to their selected one. The conclusion of the study is that the students who had higher in both attitudes for biology and science achievement generated more diverse interests about ‘Living Organisms and Environment’, and better estimated and evaluated interesting subjects and selected the most appropriate one, and furthered more interests related toselected subject. Based on these findings, implications for su-pporting authentic science inquiry according to the brain-based evolutionary approach are discussed.

        해외 교육 봉사활동 체제에 대한 연구: 니카라과를 중심으로

        국립국제교육원에서는 예비 교사를 대상으로 단기 해외 교육 봉사활동을 지원하고 있으며, 이 연구는 이 봉사활동의 체제를 분석함으로써 봉사활동 준비, 수행, 정리 단계의 현황을 파악하는 목적을 가진다. 또한 봉사활동에서 나타나는 갈등을 분석하고 봉사활동의 발전 방안을 논의하고자 하였다. 니카라과에서 수행된 봉사활동을 중심으로 분석하며 탄자니아, 필리핀, 동티모르의 사례와 비교하였다. 봉사단장이 작성한 일지와 결과 보고서 등을 수집하였고, 문화역사활동이론에 따라 6가지 요소별로 봉사활동을 정리하였다. 봉사활동의 주체는 예비 교사, 현직 교사, 대학 교수로 구성되며, 객체에는 수업, 현지 요청 활동, 사후관리, 행사, 홍보, 휴식, 준비, 정리 등이 포함된다. 봉사활동의 도구에는 언어와 비언어, SNS, 수업 교보재, 시설 등이 있으며, 커뮤니티에는 한국과 현지의 대학 구성원, 대사관이나 현지의 한국인, 현지 코티처, 현지 학교 구성원, 안전이나 건강, 학교 운영과 관련된 현지 상황과 음식 등이 있다. 규칙에는 사업 지침, 비행기 탑승 규정, 현지 학교의 규정, 예절, 문화, 단체 활동 규칙 등이 있으며, 역할 분담은 주체와 커뮤니티의 인적 자원들이 각자 맡는 다양한 역할을 말한다. 봉사활동에서 발생하는 갈등을 6가지 요소 내 갈등과 요소 간 갈등으로 구분하여 논의했으며, 전체 봉사활동 체제를 하나의 그림으로 표현하였다. 이 연구는 예비 교사의 해외 교육 봉사활동에 대하여 7년간 장기적으로 연구를 수행하는 기초가 된다. The National Institute for International Education (NIIED) supports a short-term overseas education volunteer activity for ODA countries for pre-service teachers. The aim of this study was to understand the status of this volunteer activity in the stages of preparation, performance and wrapping-up by analyzing the system of the volunteer activity. In addition, we attempted to analyze the conflict in the volunteer activity and discuss a development plan. We analyzed the volunteer activity performed in Nicaragua, and compared it with the cases in Tanzania, Philippines and Timor-Leste. We gathered the data such as the journals written by the director and final reports, etc. and analyzed the data by the frame of six elements from the cultural historical activity theory. The research subject includes pre-service teacher, in-service teacher and professor, and the object consists of classroom teaching and learning, activities requested by ODA countries, post management, event, advertisement, rest, preparation and evaluation. The tool included verbal and non-verbal language, social media, educational materials and classroom facilities. The community consisted of university staff, embassy, co-teachers, foreign school members, foreign situation related to the safety and health, and food, etc. The rule included NIIED regulations, airplane regulations, foreign school rules and culture, and group rules. The division of labor refers to the various roles which the subjects and the community members are taking part in. The conflicts in the volunteer activity were classified into those inside the element and those between elements. The system of the volunteer activity was represented in a figure. This study is expected to establish the basis of long-term research on the overseas education volunteer activity for pre-service teachers.
