For transfemoral amputees, it is very important to recover their lost functions. Myoplasty, which is one of above-knee amputation methods that sutures muscles on the femoral stump, is used more commonly than other operation methods because it is superior in muscle setting and appearance. Myodesis fixes femora' stump muscles onto the femur. For these different operation methods, there have been controversies over which is better due to lack of scientific analysis. Thus, the present study applied electric stimulation to the tibial muscle of dogs in vivo and in situ and measured the dynamic physical characteristics of the muscle after making the dogs do isokinetic exercise in the state of full activation. In addition, we performed tension experiment with the dogs’ medial tibialis cranicalis muscle and tendon to examine the kinetic characteristics.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among Job Environment, Organizational Commitment and Job Performance of hotel company. For the purpose of study, 250 survey questionnaires were distributed among the employees who are working for hotel company from 12th Oct, 2020 to 31th Oct, 2020. Lastly 235 samples were put to actual analysis by using SPSS Win 26. The results of the study are as follows. First, the job environment which are consist of human environment, welfare environment and physical environment had significant effects on organizational commitment. Second, the job environment which are consist of human environment, welfare environment had significant effects on job performance. Lastly, the organizational commitment had significant affect on job performance. As employees perceive the working environment positively, the better their job performance. Therefore, hotel corporates should make various efforts to expand the range of positive perceptions by actively communicating with employees through various channels.

Recently pedestrian’s safety has been a major problem in the automobile industry. It became important as well as driver’s safety. Crashing with car causes the dangerous factors, especially to child because of these factors, some countries like Europe, USA and Japan has already established their own rule of safety for pedestrian and implemented it. In this study, we change the shape of hood inner panel to reduce HIC of child pedestrian. We applied EuroNCAP on our study. We determined only the middle range of hood among WAD’s 1000 to 1250 because our model is the compact car. This study’s object is reduction of HIC. So we figured out the number of optimal ribs, and applied design of experiment (DOE) to find optimal rib shapes. Then we applied hole and change of the hood side shape to reduce HIC of child head injury. In addition, only for considering the design of pedestrian"s safety might cause structural problem as for this problem we have simulated the structure of hood for all kinds of possibilities.

As the number of wheelchair users increases, the safety of the wheelchair user is becoming a big concern. An increasing number of wheelchair users use their wheelchairs as motor vehicle seats when traveling. A standard requires that compliant wheelchairs be dynamically sled impact tested. However, testing to evaluate the crashworthiness of wheelchair seating systems (WCSS) independent of their wheelchair wheel is not addressed by this standard, To address this need, this study developed a method to evaluate the crashworthiness of WCSS with independent wheels using computer simulation. To secure the safety, minimum strength requirements for the wheelchair are proposed based on the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 207 regulation for the normal seats used in the vehicle. This test protocols, used to test the strength of motor vehicle seats, were modified and used to test the strength of wheelchair frame. Forward and rearward loads were applied at the WCSS center of gravity (CGSS), and a moment was applied at the uppermost point of the seat back. From the simulation, we could know a stress distribution by the applied load. As the result of this study, presents the criteria to minimize the injury of the wheelchair passenger and provides design guidelines to the manufacturers of wheelchair.

There have been many studies of passive systems in an effort to decrease the worst fatal head injuries in pedestrians from car accidents. A passive system of structural improvements in vehicles has been a major focus in the motor industry in an attempt to reduce the number road deaths and injuries. The HIC (head injury criterion) is a quantity for head injuries that was obtained by integrating the acceleration that is measured by a head-form impactor for a fixed amount of time. In general, the hood should be designed with lower stiffness to decrease the HIC value. This study introduced a method for decreasing the hood stiffness by making a hole on the inner hood panel. To determine the most effective hole position on the inner hood panel, the concept of modal stiffness was considered. The FRF (frequency response function) results for vehicle model on head-form impact simulation were obtained. In addition, modal analysis of the entire vehicle model was carried out simultaneously. Subsequently, using the results of these two analyses, adequate hole positions at each modal frequency were selected and the inner hood panel was improved by making a hole on these positions. Finally, through head-form impact simulations on the improved vehicle model with the hole, it was demonstrated that the new method applied in this study is acceptable and useful. In conclusion, the improved vehicle model with a 40㎜ diameter hole on the inner hood panel showed a significant reduction in the HIC; approximately 12.2% compared to the original vehicle model. A significant reduction in the HIC can be achieved by making only a single hole on the inner hood panel. In addition, this new method is incredibly effective and simple, and can be applied immediately to currently produced vehicles as well as to various impact studies including head-form impacts.

Although typically classified as AIS 1, whiplash injuries continue to represent a substantial social problem with associated costs estimated at over $1 billion annually. The primary objective of this study was to determine the effects of seat positions(seatback angle, headrest height) on risk for whiplash injury in low speed(ΔV=4~10㎞/h) rear-end impact. To accomplish this, rear impact seat carriage tests and simulations were conducted using the BioRID-Ⅱ dummy seated in a mass production seat, which allowed for the adjustment of seatback angle and headrest height. Neck injury criteria(NIC, N㎞) were then compared for different ΔV and seat positions.

In recent years, research on collaborative filtering-based recommendation systems emphasized the accuracy of rating predictions, and this has led to an increase in computation time. As a result, such systems have divergeded from the original purpose of making quick recommendations. In this paper, we propose a recommendation algorithm that uses a Preference Difference Metric to reduce the computation time and to maintain adequate performance. The system recommends items according to their preference classification.
