        컨벤션호텔의 활성화 방안에 대한 연구 -강원랜드 컨벤션호텔을 사례로-

        본 연구에서는 점차로 치열해지는 MICE 환경에서 강원랜드 컨벤션호텔을 사례로 신규로 시장에 진입하는 컨벤션호텔이 활성화 될 수 있는 방안을 모색해 보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 자료수집에 있어서는 2013년 9월 15일-2013년 10월 15일까지 MICE 전문가들을 대상으로 하였다. MICE 수용태세 분석결과, 강원랜드 컨벤션호텔이 '쇼핑시설', '인력 확보', '접근성' 을 개선하기 위한 방안을 시급히 강구할 필요가 있음을 시사하였다. 차별화방안으로 시설의 차별화, 컨벤션/이벤트 개최 시 저렴한 비용으로 나타났고, 마케팅방안으로는 인센티브 여행(incentive tour)에 중점을 둘 필요가 있으며, 컨벤션호텔이 MICE 행사 유치에 성공하기 위해서는 대규모 국내 외 이벤트 유치 또는 개발, 중소규모 행사유치로 틈새시장 침투, 재방문 유도, 저렴한 Room rate나 교통비를 통한 참가자의 비용절감 등을 고려해보아야 할 것으로 나타났다. 본 논문은 MICE 시장진입을 통한 컨벤션호텔 활성화를 위한 효율적인 전략을 도출하는 데 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다. The purpose of this study was to seek for solutions of activating convention hotels entering to the newly created market, focused on the case study of the convention hotel in KangwonLand in the competitive MICE environment. According to the analysis for reception setup for MICE, it is urgently required to improve shopping facilities, securing manpower, the accessibilities in KangwonLand convention hotel. This study suggests several ways to identify differentiation such as facilities discriminations, reasonable prices when holding conventions/events. It is also proposed that there is a need to focus incentive tour when marketing. To succeed in hosting events of MICE at the convention hotel, it appears to be considered to host large scale of domestic or overseas events, to measure reasonable room rates, promote niche market through middle or small scale events, attract customers to revisit and save transportation costs for participants. From the study, it is expected to find efficient ways to activate convention hotels through MICE market entry.

        4차산업혁명 기술이 호텔기업 및 직무역량에 미치는 중요도 및 영향 관계

        This purpose of this study was to investigate importance and effects on hotel enterprise and employees’capability of the 4th Industrial Technologies. An online questionnaire was distributed to the students of majoring hotel management who were taking IT courses and having experiences of visiting hotels. Data collection period was from June 1 to 15, 2020. Results showed that, first, the 4th industrial revolution technologies such as ‘Big Data’, ‘Mobile’, ‘Internet of Things’ and ‘Platform’ have a lot of influence on current hotel companies and job competency. Secondly, attitude and personality competence was the most required for the hotel company employees and the 4th industrial revolution technology applied to hotels was the most important and influenced by the hospitality service ability. In relation to personality competency, robot service technology showed a negative effect. Therefore, it is necessary to actively utilize the 4th Industrial Technology in customized services for customer satisfaction, appropriate capacity distribution of human services, and robot services.

        MICE기업지원 및 육성을 위한 탐색적 고찰

        The purpose of this study was to consider exploratory on supporting and fostering for MICE enterprise according to prescribe definition and scope of MICE company support. In addition, through the case studies on domestic and overseas MICE corporate support policies, the aim was to establish a support system for MICE companies to adapt to the global environment in accordance with the spread of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, it is necessary to expand the scope of support for MICE companies to foster fourth industrial MICE companies. Second, support policies by size and growth stage of MICE companies are needed. Third, there is a need to divide and provide various detailed areas in MICE company support field. Fourth, support satisfaction should be raised by training specialized MICE consultants. Fifth, it is necessary to secure competitiveness through objectivity and follow-up management of MICE companies. Sixth, the MICE ecosystem needs to be created. This will provide an objective basis for MICE company support and help future policy directions.

        호텔기업의 객실, 식음료, 부대시설 업장의 친환경속성이 브랜드 충성도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of eco-environmental attributes of hotel rooms, food & beverage, and public sector on hotel brand loyalty. Factor analysis and regression analysis were used. The results of the study can be summarized as follows. First, eco-environmental attributes’ factors of hotel rooms had significant effects on the hotel brand loyalty in eco-friendly saving system, eco-friendly room management, and appropriate temperature. Second, eco-environmental attributes’ factors of food & beverage had a significant effect on the hotel brand loyalty in creating eco-friendly food & beverage environment, eco-friendly food management, and utilizing eco-friendly food & beverage equipment. Third, eco-environmental attributes’ factors of lobby and public sector had significant effects on the hotel brand loyalty in eco-friendly management of lobby and public sector and in eco-friendly management of fitness center and sauna.

        한국 컨벤션산업의 산업분류체계에 관한 연구 : 산업연관표와의 연계

        The purpose of this study was to examine the validity of industrial classification for convention industry linked an Inter-industry relation table in Korea. In this study, convention was operationally defined as meetings which more than 10 foreigners, 250 participants, 4 hours period. Data were collected in three ways: for examining convention hosts` details of expenditures, two Focus Group Interview, and lastly the expert group counsel for industrial classification. The results of the study revealed that 28 items were classified like as sewing clothing(73), bag and handbag(80), stencil paper(91), and so on through details of expenditures on convention events and 44 items including floral scent(10), alcohol-free drinks and ice(60), and 16 items were extracted from FGI. Finally, 43 items were classified linked an Inter-industry relation table from expert group advice.

        2018 평창 동계올림픽 유치가 컨벤션센터와 리조트 이미지, 지역사회에 미치는 영향 -지역민과 관광객 인식 비교-

        The purpose of this study was to investigate if there are differences on regional residents` and tourists` perceptions toward convention center image, resort image, and regional community of hosting 2018 Pyeongchang winter olympic games which will be one of the main mega-events in Korea. Total 245 surveys in regional community residents and tourists who had been visited experience in Alpensia convention center and resort were used to analyze the data by frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, and independent t-test. The result showed that residents` perceptions toward convention center image, resort image, regional community of hosting 2018 Pyeongchang winter olympic games were effected statistically high averages than tourists` one. Therefore, it was needed enhancement effects, supportive intentions and willingness to collaboration of residents for holding success 2018 Pyeongchang winter olympic games.

        지역간 컨벤션 유치 공정거래 개선방안

        In accordance with the recent trend to achieve a just society, the convention industry also seeks for fair trade in promotion among regions. The competition for convention promotion between countries and regions is getting severe. After most of major cities in Korea have constructed convention center, the intensity of convention promotion competition have been increased. There are always similar number of conferences in the world. As a convention center operator it is very difficult to lure a new event to their center or region. Therefore unfairly practiced trades sometimes occur in convention promotion. The purpose of this report was to delineate a variety of unfair trades in convention promotion and to suggest some polices to decrease such trade practices. This study searched the unfair convention promotion cases and surveyed the 10 convention promotion related professionals about unfair promotion situation. As a result there are two sides of view, if the host city attract a convention which already decide the venue, it can be unfair trade, but if the convention host just changed their mind to select a new city for an event, it is difficult to deal with unfair trade. With time the CVBs get network with other CVBs or cities, they interchange the information and try to remove unfair promotion case. CVBs was suggested to declare the fair trade in convention promotion officially and the convention related government officials are need to educate the effect of convention.

        기업의 그린 IT 투자가 기업가치에 미치는 영향 Green IT Investment and the Value of the Firm

        기업들의 환경에 대한 관심은 정보기술의 도입 및 활용에 따라 점차적으로 확산되어 가고 있다. 특히 한국의 IT 인프라는 2009년 OECD 국가 중 1위로 상당히 발전된 형태를 띠고 있어 정보기술 부문에서의 친환경 구현에 대해서 다른 국가들은 한국 정부 및 기업의 노력과 그 성과에 대해 모니터링을 하게 될 것이다. 하지만 그린 IT의 구현이 개별 기업의 재무적 성과에 어떤 영향을 미치는지에 대한 연구가 많지 않다. 본 연구에서는 친환경 정보화(그린 IT)에 대한 투자와 그린 IT 유형별 기업들의 사례를 통해 기업의 그린 IT 구현에 대한 노력과 시장의 반응을 살펴본다. 7개 사례기업의 그린 IT 투자 관련 발표와 그에 따른 주가 변동에 대해 사건연구를 통해 분석한다. 분석결과는 그린 IT에 대한 투자는 장·단기간의 재무적 성과와 유의한 양(+)의 관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 탐색적으로 진행된 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 추가적으로 연구할 가치가 있는 논점을 제시한다. Companies` interest in Green has increased in the adoption and utilization of information technology. Especially, the Korean government is actively promoting the implementation of Green IT. Given that Korea is considered the most connected country in the world, its IT initiatives (including Green IT) are often monitored and emulated by other countries. Since Green IT is a relatively new initiative and its financial impact on adopting firms is unclear, firms might be required to comply with the Korean government`s policies and regulations without fully understanding the economic risks and benefits. This paper explores the relationships between investments in Green IT and market reaction by using an event study methodology. We select seven events and classify them according to the type of Green IT implementation. Our results show that the announcement of Green IT initiatives positively influences the market value of the corresponding company. Given the results of this exploratory research, we provide discussion points which are worth further study.

        관광거점도시에서의 DMO 역량강화방안: 강릉 DMO 사례를 중심으로

        The purpose of this study was to develop the primary stage of Gangneung DMO organizational operation system to revitalize tourism in Gangneung by deriving problems and improvement plans. Both qualitative and quantitative research methods were adapted in analyzing data from tourism experts and Gangneung DMO members. Based on the present study results, eight strategies were suggested to strengthen Gangneung DMO capabilities in tourism hub cities: 1) build professional manpower and slim down the composition of organization; 2) develop strategic marketing activities; 3) develop resident-led regional competency reinforcement projects; 4) continue education activities on the functions of DMO; 5) convergence of various perspectives on local tourism issues; 6) establishment of data that can connect tourist companies and visitors; 7) continuous network and information disclosure by related organizations; and 8) success of DMO through establishment of online cooperation network among DMO operators nationwide Model building.
