This study was aimed to determine the effect for the weight distribution and lumbar extension strength associated with obesity index in female patients of Chronic Low Back Pain. sixty (obesity group(BMI: 25Kg/m²): n=30, non obesity group: n=30) subjects participated. both group were tested on MedX machine for lumbar extension strength. Front heels and back heels were measured twice by using the Tetrax Portable Multiple System. Independent sample t-test was used to analyze the difference between the two group. Results showed that there was no difference between both group even though the weight distribution of back heels was higher than front heels. As for the lumbar extension strength at each angle, the obese back pain group appeared to have a lower muscular strength than the normal group at 0˚, but was stronger at angles 12˚, 24˚, 36˚, 48˚, 60˚, and 72˚. There was a statistically significant difference in muscular strength at lumbar flexion angles 60˚ and 72˚ (p<.05). Overall, the back pain group that was obese according to weight distribution tended to maintain their center of force more backwards by increasing the lordosis degree with abdominal distension. The same results appeared in lumbar extension strength. Especially in the lumbar extension strength test at each angle, a greater strength was shown at 60˚ and 72˚ where the patient bends the upper body over during the test. We were able to realize that the largest extension degree of 0˚ was a factor showing lower muscular strength.

This study aims to identify the impact of myofascial release massage therapy on the changes in blood lipids, blood pressure, and intra-abdominal fat in middle-aged obese women Metabolic Syndrome Risk Factor. 20 middle-aged obese women participated in the experiment and treatment was carried out twice a week for eight weeks in total in 11 patients in myofascial release massage group and 9 patients in control group. with respect to the changes in visceral fat, it decreased by 31.23% (p<.01) in myofascial release massage group, whereas increased by 7.96% in control group. With respect to the changes in blood lipids, total cholesterol decreased by 10.21%(p<.01), LDL-cholesterol by 2.58%, and neutral fat by 16.60% in myofascial release massage, whereas HDL-cholesterol increased by 16.25% (p<.01). In control group, total cholesterol decreased by 3.3% and neutral fat by 6.99%, whereas LDL-cholesterol increased by 5.88% and HDL-cholesterol by 11.79% (p<.01). With respect to the changes in blood, systolic blood pressure decreased by 10.64% (p<.05) and diastolic pressure by 5.68% in myofascial release massage group, whereas systolic blood pressure increased by 1.41% and diastolic pressure by 3.54% in control group. Therefore, treatment for the myofascial release massage therapy is considered to have a positive impact on the improvement in insulin resistance syndrome risk factors, thus allowing it to be recommended as intervention for the esthetic field.

This study is aimed at determining he effects of resistance exercise program on lumbar extension strength and the ratio of lumbar flexion degree in operated & non-operated group of female aged group among Low Back Patients. Twenty-five subject in two group(op-group: n=11, 62.57±2.8 years & non-op group: n=14, 63.36±4.4) were trained twice pre week for eight weeks. The training consisted of one set of 15-18 repetitions. Both groups were tested on a Medx Machine at baseline, after 8weeks for lumber extension strength at 0˚, 12,˚ 24˚, 36˚, 48˚, 60˚ and 72˚ Paired t-test was used to determine differences in strength. Results show significant improvement of lumber extension strength after 8weeks training at all angles, OP-group 0˚: 110.4%, 12˚: 93.58% & 72˚ : 45,77%, and Non-OP group 0˚: 110.8%, 12˚: 80.53% & 71˚ : 47.19% within both OP group & Non-OP group of LBP. Result further on further on the ratio of lumbar flexion 71˚ and 0˚ Angle showed significant decrease from 4.24:1 to 2.08:1, -108% in OP group and decreased from 3.16:1 to 2.39:1, -32.21% in Non-OP group after 8 weeks training.
