To evaluate the permeable pressure level of high pressure vessels and piping with limited timing and cost, statistics method was used to this calculation. To get the 1ppm permeable pressure level of products, did a 2 or 4 level`s impulse pressure test and got the pass & failure quantity at each pressure level. And logit distribution was used and plotted into probability paper. Minimum two point of pressure level and standard deviation, straight line is determinate by regression.

In this work, numerical investigation for the optimization of automotive plastic tube was performed for the weight reduction. To achieve this, water cooling tube for gasoline and diesel and PCV line were chose for the analysis. The effect of pitch, thickness, diameter, and properties of material on the thermal stress in corrugated tube were studied and the results from these were compared with the results from smooth tube under the same test conditions. It was revealed that the effect of temperature on the thermal stress is larger than the effect of pressure. As the thickness of tube increased, the thermal stress in the tube also increase. On the other hand, as the tube pitch increased, the thermal stress decreased.

Head and cavitation in centrifugal pump has been main issue for design of efficient and high performance water pump. In this paper, pressure distribution and cavitation occurrence at blades are investigated numerically to design plastic water pump for clean diesel engine application. Prediction results are compared with experimental data to validate and determine optimal operation condition without water pump cavitation. In addition, major design parameters such as blade angle, volute geometry, system pressure, and coolant flow rate are considered to confirm applying possibility of plastic blades to the clean diesel engine.

Tube fitting is the one of the basic element in the vehicle. Tube fitting adopted in common rail system is exposed in high pressure above 1,300bar in continuance. Particularly, operating condition of common rail is tending severe, because fuel injection pressure of engine is elevating on demand for vehicle performance improvement. The key point of tube fitting design to prevent the leakage is appropriate assembly torque and axial force. This paper mentions estimation method of axial force in high pressure tube fitting for common rail system and relationship between the torque and axial force. In proportion to tightening nut, the plastic deformation behavior of high pressure tube fitting has analyzed by FEM(finite element method) and axial force has estimated by computation result of reaction force between common rail and tube end.
