N/A Background: The diagnosis and differential diagnosis of mycosis fungoides(MF) is often difficult, clinically and histologically. A variety of inflammatory dermatoses may be seen with similar clinical and histological features. Given the limitation of histologic diagnosis in the early MF, an ancillary method to demonstrate a clonal T cell proliferation would be helpful. Recent attempts to enhance diagnostic sensitivity have involved T-cell receptor(TCR) gene rearrangement studies, using polymerase chain reaction(PCR) technique. Objective : The purpose of this study was the value of PCR detection of TCR y gene rearrangement in the diagnosis of early MF. Materials and Methods . Thirty-two cases of paraffin embedded tissue(PET) from patients of early MF were investigated for the presence of TCR y gene rearrangement using a nested FCR technique and analyzed by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis(PAGE). As a control, PET from patients of 6 psoriasis, 3 lichen planus, 1 neurodermatitis, and 1 allergic contact dermatitis were tested. Results : Monoclonal TCR γ gene rearrangement was detected in 28 out of 32 (88%) patients with early MF and in none out of 11 patients with inflammatory skin diseases. Conclusion : TCR γ gene rearrangement studies on lesional skin using PCR may be helpful as an adjunct to the histopathologic diagnosis of early MF. ( Korean J Dermatol 2001;39(11) : 1231~1237)

회복전압 측정법(RVM: Recovery voltage measurement)은 최근 유럽지역에서 활발히 연구 진행되고 있는 절연 진단 기법 중의 하나로 소개된바 있으며, 오일과 절연지 사이에 스며든 수분량을 검출할 수 있는 진단 시스템기법이다. 변압기 내부의 절연물질에 대한 분극특성을 분석함으로서 열화진행정도 및 열화정도를 진단하는데 활용될 수 있다. 본 논문은 국산화의 일환으로 전기계측제어용 LabVIEW 프로그램을 활용하여 RVM 전 과정을 자동으로 사용할 수 있도록 자체 제작한 프로그램을 소개하고자 한다.

This paper presents the 2nd excitation control of the wound-rotor induction motor with Fly-wheel. In the wound-rotor induction motor, the primary power is controlled by AC excitation which used the secondary power conversion. Based on theory, this paper describes the dynamic response analysis of the wound-rotor induction motor with Fly-wheel and Simulation using MA TLAB is performed to verify the proposed control method.

Linear IgA bullous dermatosis (LAD) is a subepidermal blistering disease characterized by linear IgA deposits in the basement membrane zone when visualized on direct immunofluorescence microscopy. Intravenous vancomycin has been the drug most implicated, and this disease has been termed vancomycin-induced LAD. Vancomycin-induced LAD tends to spontaneously resolve upon discontinuation of the offending drug. A 70-year-old male patient developed septic knee. Bacterial cultures from this lesion grew methicillin- resistant Staphylococcus aureus. He was treated with vancomycin. Eight days after vancomycin injection, painful bullae appeared on the trunk, feet, and genitalia. A skin biopsy showed a subepidermal blister with an infiltrate composed of neutrophils and eosinophils. Direct immunofluorescence of perilesional skin showed linear IgA deposition at dermo-epidermal junction. The vancomycin was stopped; teicoplanin was substituted. He was treated with dapsone. The use of vancomycin is increasing in Korea and therefore it is important for dermatologist to be aware of the association with LAD. (Korean J Dermatol 2002;40(9):1132~1135)
