Caudal occipital malformation syndrome (COMS) is relatively common disease which occurs at craniocervical junction. It has been known that this syndrome was developed mainly in Cavalier King Charles spaniels, but these days there are a lot of case reports about COMS in other small breed dogs. In this report, COMS was diagnosed in ten dogs presented to Haemaru Referral Animal Hospital using MRI examination from January 2005 to April 2006. These cases were also investigated about concurrent diseases and syringomyelia was the most common type of complication, but clinical signs were nonspecific. COMS could be controlled by medical therapy with corticosteroid except cases with concurrent meningitis. It is considered that the present report could provide information regarding imaging and clinical features of COMS such as concurrent diseases, clinical signs, and prognosis in small animal practice despite of limited case numbers.
분산 OCSP에서의 효율적인 로드 밸런싱 기법에 관한 모델링 및 시뮬레이션

The distributed OCSP (Online Certificate Status Protocol), composed of multiple responders, is a model that enhances the utilization of each responder and reduces the response time. In a multi-user distributed environment, load balancing mechanism must be developed for the improvement of the performance of the whole system. Conservative load balancing algorithms often ignore the communication cost of gathering the information of responders. As the number of request is increased, however, fail to consider the communication cost may cause serious problems since the communication time is too large to disregard. We propose an adaptive load balancing algorithm and evaluate the effectiveness by performing modeling and simulation. The principal advantage of new algorithm is in their simplicity: there is no need to maintain and process system state information. We evaluated the quality of load balancing achieved by the new algorithm by comparing the queue size of responders and analyzing the utilization of these responders. The simulation results show how efficiently load balancing is done with the new algorithm.
탄소성적표시 건축 재료의 환경 효율성 분석 연구 - 바닥 마감재를 중심으로 -

In recent years, Korean government has focused on improving the environmental impact of products in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to achieve their energy goals. The government has been conducting the following polices such as green procurement inducement and certification system. After carbon labeling was conducted in 2009, among a total of 1,065 items, 97 building materials have been given a certification: finishing materials items have the highest weight (56%). The increase in the certification numbers shows that there has been considerable technical efforts in the building material industry. At the awareness of carbon label and purchase of low carbon product, however, customers are aware of carbon labeling but the purchasing rate of carbon product is low. In this paper, we suggest that low carbon activities must also be considered in order to create client value by adding the concept of ecological efficiency. The objective of this study to measurer the eco-efficiency of carbon labeled building materials on the basis of environmental aspects of the product with the perspective of economy for purchasing the excellent products.

Surveillance and reconnaissance sensor network system is an application system based on ubiquitous sensor network technology. This technique is to avoid accidental close combat, to minimize the consumption of limited military resources and personnel, and to provide battlefield situational awareness information for the unit's future combat missions. In this paper, we have proposed a echelons scale identification scheme based on information obtained from surveillance and reconnaissance sensor network system.
우유와 커피 모델 시스템에 적용된 저열량 감미 소재의 감미도와 감미질

본 실험에서는 바나나향 우유와 커피시스템에 저칼로리 감미료를 첨가할 때 설탕 대비 상대감미도를 측정하고자 하였다. 아울러 바나나향 우유와 커피시스템에서 유지방과 식물성크림이 각 시스템의 관능적 특성에 끼치는 영향을 함께 보고자 하였다. 감미료의 종류는 설탕과 더불어 대체감미료로 tagatose, xylose, erythritol, sucralose, 그리고 효소처리 stevia를 분석하였다. 바나나향 우유의 경우 설탕 5% 첨가 수준을 기준으로 이전 연구에서 도출된 수용액상의 상대감미도를 적용하여 각 대체 감미료의 농도를 이에 맞게 첨가하였으며 커피시스템의 경우 설탕 5.9% 농도 수준으로 적용하여 실험을 진행하였다. 각 감미료 별 적용된 설탕 대비 상대감미도는 다음과 같다: Tagatose 0.83배, xylose 0.63배, erythritol 0.60배, sucralose 556배, 그리고 stevia 64배이다. 각 감미료가 바나나향 우유시스템과 커피시스템에서 발현되는 단맛강도와 기타 관능적인 특성을 이해하기 위해 묘사분석 전문 패널 10명을 활용하여 묘사분석을 실시하였다. 실험결과 바나나향 우유시스템의 경우 stevia를 제외하고는 일반수용액상의 상대감미도와 동일하였으며 stevia는 상대감미도가 감소하였다. 식물성크림 첨가 커피도 동일한 경향을 보였으나 블랙커피의 경우 stevia 외에 xylose와 tagatose의 상대감미도 또한 감소하였다. 바나나향 첨가 우유시스템의 경우 설탕 첨가 시료와 감미질이 유사한 시료는 tagatose와 sucralose 첨가 시료였던 반면 커피시스템의 경우 tagatose와 erythitol첨가 시료인 것으로 나타났다. 지방함량에 따라 바나나향 우유와 커피시스템의 관능적 특성은 매우 달라지는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구에서는 기존 수용액상 도출된 감미도가 적용되는 식품시스템에 따라 새롭게 조정되어야 하며 설탕을 대체할 최적 감미료는 적용되는 식품시스템에 따라 달라진다는 것을 보여 주었다. This study investigated the relative sweetness of various sweeteners (tagatose, xylose, erythritol, sucralose, and enzyme treated stevia) in milk and instant coffee systems. Additionally, the effects of interactions with other ingredients on the sensory characteristics of milk and coffee were explored. In the case of a banana-flavored milk system, sucrose was added to a concentration of 5%, and the five types of sweetener were added to a concentration of equal sweetness to a 5% concentration of sucrose. For coffee systems, 5.9% sucrose level and sweeteners concentration equivalent to this level was added. A generic descriptive analysis was performed using ten trained panelists. The results showed that the relative sweetness of all the sweeteners was identical to that identified in the aqueous system, except for stevia in the milk system and in the coffee system with added vegetable cream. For the black coffee system, the relative sweetness decreased for tagatose, erythritol and for stevia. Fat and vegetable cream significantly affected the sensory qualities of milk and coffee, respectively.
3D X-ray CT 디지털 영상을 활용한 콘크리트 내부품질 분석

본 연구에서는 콘크리트 균열부에 대해 3D X-ray CT 디지털 영상을 활용하여 원인을 분석하였다. 정수시설 내 약품저장조 기초슬래브의 하부기둥에 발생한 균열로 콘크리트 내부품질 분석을 통해 원인을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 균열부와 건전부의 코어시편을 채취하여 3차원 디지털 영상을 취득하였다. 영상 데이터 분석을 통해 콘크리트 공극과 구성골재 등 내부 분포현황을 파악하였고, 균열의 원인에 대하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 기존 발생되었던 철근 부식에 따른 팽창압이 굵은골재 주변의 공극으로 응력이 집중되어 균열이 공극방향으로 재발생한 것으로 추정된다.
