        복합표본자료를 이용한 육류 섭취 영향요인 분석

        This study aims to identify the determinants of intakes of beef, pork, and chicken using the 2013 Fifth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(KNHANES VI-1), which is based on a complex survey design. It includes demographic, health, and life factors as independent variables for the analysis employing the complex samples general linear model(CSGLM). A set of independent variables is composed.. demographic factors such as sex, age, education level, and monthly household income ; health factors such as obesity and high-cholesterol level ; and life factors such as alcohol consumption, stress recognition, and eating-out frequency. Among them, sex, age, and alcohol consumption are statistically significant on intakes of beef, pork, and chicken in common. The results show that men eat more meat than women, that meat intakes decline with an increase in age, and that drinkers eat more meat than non-drinkers. These results obtained from the complex samples analysis strongly support generalization of meat intakes patterns of Korean adults.

        This article introduces the application of qualitative research in theagriculture sector by reviewing international literature using a systematicreview method. The qualitative methodologies described in the literatureincluded ground theory, phenomenology, ethnography, narrative research, andqualitative content analysis. Individual interview and focus group discussionwere the predominant methods used for qualitative data collection. Theusefulness of implementing qualitative research techniques was investigatedthroughout the sub-themes of agricultural economics, including foodconsumption, labor, land/forest, rural society/development/tourism,management, environment/resource, climate change, and livestock. Thequalitative research method is suggested as a complementary or substitutiveapproach to quantitative research in the study of agriculture or agriculturaleconomics.

        곤충식품 구입의향에 관한 구조관계 분석: 부분회귀 - 구조방정식 이용

        Eating insects, called entomophagy, is still difficult to accept a general food in Korea. However, it has several benefits such as an alternative food of meat, healthy diet, provision of rich protein, and a means of solving a lack of food. In order to enlarge consuming entomophagy, this study is performed to identify factors affecting the purchase intention of entomophagy using partial least square structural equation modeling(PLS - SEM) and find the priorities to increase the purchase intention of entomophagy using importance - performance matrix analysis(IPMA). The data were collected from 179 consumers living in Seoul, Capital city of South Korea. Results of PLS-SEM showed consumers’ involvement and unique purchase propensity positively affected purchase intention. Both were also revealed as the most significant factors to improve the purchase intention of the insect food in IPMA. Preferentially considering two latent variables, this study suggested needs of emphasizing that the insect food is effective food with high nutrition, low prices, and public value having a food security to heighten consumers’ involvement. This study also did differentiated marketing strategies appealing nutrition, unique flavor, and application of storytelling to raise their unique purchase propensity of the insect food.

        계절 시계열모형의 육류 소매가격 추정 및 예측 정확도 평가

        This study aims to introduce BATS (exponential smoothing state space model with Box-Cox transformation, ARMA errors, trend and seasonal components) model and TBATS (trigonometric exponential smoothing state space model with Box-Cox transformation, ARMA errors, trend and seasonal components) model and evaluate the estimation and forecast accuracy on retail meat prices, which have the trend and seasonality by BATS model, TBATS model, and seasonal ARIMA (seasonal autoregressive integrated moving average) model. While BATS model and TBATS model include trend and seasonality, seasonal ARIMA model excludes them in the analysis because trend and seasonality are considered error terms. The research results revealed that although the three time-series models have the high estimation and forecast accuracy, BATS model and TBATS model have more usefulness than seasonal ARIMA model. The former models provide information on trend and seasonality, whereas the latter does not. This information would be helpful establishing a long-term plan to stabilize retail meat prices as well as offering valuable data for the stakeholders who need short-term future prices.

        연구보문 : 사회과학; 한-캄 농업,농촌개발 협력 현황 및 방향 -JICA의 농촌개발현황과의 비교

        This article analyzes the strategy of Korea`s official development assistance (ODA) for Cambodia`s agriculture and rural development sector, as performed by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to Cambodia`s agriculture and rural development sector. Defining KOICA`s strategy proved difficult because of the small scale of grant aid and fewer numbers of agricultural and rural development projects. Thus, this article intends to evaluate KOICA`s strategy by comparing it with the strategy of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), an agency similar to KOICA in its makeup and professed goals. With comparison of JICA`s strategy, it has a useful meaning with starting point, which evaluates KOICA`s strategy in Cambodia. Based on the findings, the article recommends that KOICA consider increasing the amount of grant aid, the size and period of related projects; adapting the two-track approach; extending specific activities in the fisheries industry; and applying a participatory rural development and multidisciplinary approach.

        수박 구매의도에 미치는 영향요인 분석

        This study aims to identify the factors influencing the purchase intention for watermelon and analyze the structural relations among heavy weigh, rind trash, favorable attitude, utilitarian purchase, perceived behavioral control and purchase intention using partial least square-structural equation modeling. Additionally, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of heavy weight and rind trash on consumers’ favorable attitude and purchase intention. The data were collected from the online survey targeting 1,365 consumers from September 20 to 27, 2018. The results and implications are as follows. First, although heavy weight had a very slightly negative effect on favorable attitude with the bootstrap significance test, it would be possible to have no effect when redoing bootstrapping. Hence, it is difficult to conclude that heavy weight is a variable to be statistically significant. And also, heavy weight did not directly and indirectly affect the purchase intention. Second, rind trash as well as heavy weight directly and indirectly had no effect on purchase intention. Third, utilitarian purchase significantly had a positive effect on purchase intention. To encourage utilitarian consumers to purchase watermelon, it is needed to discuss on the mandatory indication of sugar content, origin, and safety of pesticide residues. Fourth, since favorable attitude and perceived behavioral control had a significant positive effects on purchase intention which was partially supported the theory of planned behavior. These results are expected to provide practical information on the consumer purchasing behavior to stakeholders related to watermelon.

        부분회귀-구조방정식을 이용한 한국 농식품의 할랄시장 수출가능성 연구 - 말레이시아와 인도네시아를 중심으로 -

        This study aims to verify factors affecting the export possibility of 14 Korean agri-foods to Halal markets and determine their priorities based on the export possibility using partial least square-structure equation modeling(PLS-SEM). The data were collected from 200 Muslims(100 Malaysians and 100 Indonesians) who live in Korea. The survey was conducted from November 12 to 26, 2015. Path analysis in PLS-SEM shows the image of Korea is positively significant on the image of Korean agri-food and the image of Korean agri-food again affcts positively the export possibility. While the Halal compliance is positively significant on the export possibility, the Islamic culture compliance is negatively significant on it. This study finds that the Islamic culture deeply embedded in Muslim life would be the biggest obstacle to enhance the export possibility of Korean agri-foods. In the priority analysis to select the highly exportable agri-foods, the top 3 agri-foods are strawberry, paprika, and kimchi. In order to increase market share of Korean agri-foods in both Malaysia and Indonesia, it is necessary to designate them as the export strategic items. This study has the originality in that it is the first empirical research on exploring the export possibility of Korean agri-foods to Halal market. This study is expected to provide the useful information for Korean stakeholders who want to export agri-foods to Halal market.

        SWOT 분석을 이용한 네팔 극서부 지역의 농촌개발전략

        By conducting SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis to understand the agricultural environments of the Far-Western Region(FWR) of Nepal, this study aims to suggest realizable international rural development strategies that donor countries, including Korea, can utilize to effectively carry out rural development activities. Factors in the Strength category were determined to be as follows: an increase in understanding the importance and need for rural development; abundant natural resources; support of government, non-government, and international non-government organizations; and the cultivation of cash and variety crops. The persistence of traditional farming skills and the lack of modernization, developed infrastructure, manpower, agricultural lands, and proper government policy and support, as well as food insecurity, were found to be factors in the Weaknesses category. The analysis identified an increase in the production and exportation of agricultural products, tourism, the reuse of land for farming, and water resources for electricity and irrigation as factors in the Opportunities category. Finally, the Threats category included lack of accessibility for transporting of goods, imports from China and India, lack of fuel and electricity, natural and geographical difficulty, and political instability. Based on SWOT analysis, results suggested the support of agricultural organizations, reduction of overseas dependency, and income generation as rural development strategies.

        FMD에 따른 한우브랜드별 영향과 포지셔닝 -강원도를 중심으로-

        This treatise``s purpose is presenting to how activate livestock brand through an analysis regarding influence of FMD(Foot and Mouth Disease). To analysis, consumersurvey have been done for Gangwon-6 brand beef(Hoengseong livestock cattle, Hi-lok, Hanwooryeong, Daegwanryung beef, Neulpureum-Hongcheon Hanwoo, Chiaksan Cattle). After consumer survey, consumer``s consumption patterns on brand beef associated with FMD have been analysised using SPSS. In case of brand awareness, Hoengseong livestock cattle, Daegwanryung beef are higher than others. in case of brand image(avertising, marbling, safety, logos, and price), Hoengseong livestock cattle, Daegwanryung beef also more positive than others. Lastly in case of positioning of the position, compared with before FMD, Hoengseong livestock cattle, Daegwanryung beef is almost unchanged after FMD. Based on result of analysis, to activate brand beef need three things. First, General cattle is changing into Brand cattle. Second, strict management and improvement of livestock breeding environments is needed. Finally, method that improve brand awareness and brand image is needed.

        Koreans prefer Korea beef to imported beef. The volume of imported beef is being increased in Korea. Consumers preference may be changed when they consume the imported beef more. The purposes of this study are to analyze the changes of the Koreans`` preference and perception to Korean beef and imported beef. Koreans who are living in Korea prefer Korean beef to imported beef. However, Koreans who are living in U.S.A. may prefer U.S. beef or keep neutral between the two kinds of beefs. Questionnaire were given to Koreans who were living in Korea and U.S.A. from January to April in 2014. SPSS 18.0 was used for the analyses. T-test was used for comparative analysis by living country about beef and multiple regression analysis was used for analyzing impacts of age and period of reside in United States to quality evaluation about Korean beef and U.S. beef. In the result, Korean consumers had differences in all perception variables about U.S. beef by living country, but hadn``t in Korean beef. And Korean consumers living in Korea and United States evaluated that Korean beef had better quality than U.S. beef. Finally, only period of reside in United States had positive impacts to perception of U.S. beef quality. Korean beef should try to keep high quality and image. Government need to active support and intensive control beef traceability system and origin labeling. Imported beef market may be expanded in the future. So prepare countermeasure for low-grade Korean beef about increasing of the imported beef in Korean market.
