      • Robert Frost의 詩에 나타난 Dualism

        In this paper, the writer tries to emphasize the characteristics of the metaphorical skep-thcism and dualism in the poetry of Frost. He writes about solid New England places and work. Unlike Emily Dickinson, he has no iterest in writing about the abstract in abstrast terms. He chiefly writes about nature and man concretely. Frost's special distin-ction as a poet rest in his skill in writing, in one poem, on several levels of meaning. In the first place, He was a Synecdochist who figures of speech in which we use a part for the whole. From early Poems to the last Poems, he ran through this attitude. In "After apple-picking", he stands for his memory of life, for his experience of death. His intellectual qualities are as apparent in his images, rhythms, and forms as in his dualistic contents. Indeed, Frost was not a pessimist but a skeptist. He reveals also skeptical view point of the world and human being only through metaphysical metaphors. This attitude is true of West-Running Brook which was hailed with loud enthusiasm. In this poem , he shows himself as a Bergsonian philosopher. West-Running Brook is a reflection and resta-tement of all that has gone before. He cannot suggest a character or a natural landscapes without informing the subject with his own philosophy, a philosophy whose flippant accents cannot hide a moral earne-stness. Beyond the fact, beyond the tone of his voice, the poet's main interst was unifying and ardent emotions which is Frost's peculiar qulity and his essential spirit.

      • 안테나 형태에 따른 대면적 ICP 플라즈마의 균일도 면화에 관한 연구

        대면적 균일 ICP 플라즈마를 발생시킬 수 있는 IPC용 안테나 개발을 위하여 안테나 구조와 안테나에 흐르는 전류 방향에 따른 발생 플라즈마의 특성을 Langmuir 탐침과 자기 탐침을 이용하여 관찰하였다. 안테나의 구조가 내부 안테나와 외부 안테나로 이루어진 두 안테나에 흐르는 전류방향이 반대 방향일 때는 같은 방향일 때보다 플라즈마 밀도 균일도가 향상되는 경향을 가졌다. 직경 300mm에서의 플라즈마 균일도가 2~3%를 나타내었다. 이 결과를 이용하여 Super Flat Antenna(SFA)를 개발하였다. This paper presents effects of antenna shape and current direction on plasma density uniformity for a large area uniform ICP plasma parameters. The antennae were composed of a rectangular inner and outer antenna. When the current direction along the antenna was opposite, plasma uniformity was improved in compare with the same current direction along the antenna. The optimized antenna can generate the uniform plasma within 2-3% uniformity in 300mm diameter and is called Super Flat Antenna (SFA).

        This paper proposes a new induction heating system composed of a thyristor PWM rectifier with a resonant commutation circuit. The operation of proposed system was first analyzed by a theoretical approach with equivalent circuits. And its verification was performed by computer simulations with EMTP. The proposed system can provide a solution for the power factor problem of the existing high-power induction heating system, which uses the line-commutated thyristor bridge in rectifier side.

        It is generally acknowledged that there are two Wordsworths. One Wordsworth is simple, elemental, forthright. The other is complex, paradoxical, problematic. One is the great poet of natural man and so called nature poet. The other is a visionary, mystic poet who is ultimately hostile to temporal man and the world of sense. And one Wordsworth is poet of light, the other is poet of darkness. As being known, the age of 1797 to 1814 is that of his poetic maturity. Above all, he was a religious, meditative and philosophical poet. In a sense Wordsworth's constant metaphysical concern continued fro the first period of hip poetic life to the last phase of his poetic life. Mysticism is the most conspicuos characteristicus of his poetry. In a true sense heh as a visionary sense and he did see visions in this world which other human being could never see clearly. In order to understand William Wordsworth we must understand the world of his mysticism expressed in his poems such as Prelude, Tintern Abbev, Resolution and Independence. William Wordsworth was not only a nature poet but a seer, mystic and actually was a psychologist. What he could find in the world and universe was not the beauty of nature but life in nature. He saw the life, he felt the life. In this brief thesis the writer have tried to pursue mysticism by analyzing his major poem mentioned above, and also the writer tried to identify and distinguish metaphysical positions and his own identity and his poetical identity in this world. And especially the writer traced his mystic vision through imagery crystallized in his important works.

        비속도의 큰 변화가 극저비속도 원심펌프의 성능에 미치는 영향

        Efficiency of a centrifugal pump is known to drop rapidly with a decrease of specific speed ns. However, below ns=60 [min-1, m3/min, m], the pump characteristics are not yet clear. Therefore, present study is aimed to investigate the influence of large change of specific speed on the performance of a very low specific speed centrifugal pump. Moreover, influence of impeller configuration on the performance of very low specific speed pump is investigated. The results show that very low specific speed can be accomplished by reducing volute throat sectional area using circular spacer. Influence of the spacer's location and configuration in the discharge passage on the pump performance is very small. Best efficiency of very low specific speed centrifugal pump decreases proportionally to the specific speed but the best efficiency decreases on a large scale in the range of ns<40. Influence of impeller configuration on the pump performance and radial thrust of centrifugal pump are considerably small in the range of extremely low specific speed (ns=25).1. 서 론* 요코하마국립대학 대학원 공학연구원

        원형케이싱이 극저비속도 원심펌프의 성능에 미치는 영향

        Recently, according to the trend of small size in scale and high speed in rotation of turbomachinery, very low specific speed centrifugal pump is taking a growing interest because the pump is characterized by high head and low flow rate with convenience of manufacturing and maintenance compared with conventional positive displacement pump. However, the efficiency of the very low specific speed centrifugal pump drops rapidly with the decrease of specific speed. The purpose of this study is not only to examine the influence of casing type on the performance of centrifugal pump in the range of very low specific speed but also to determine the proper casing type for the improvement of pump performance. The results show that circular casing is suitable for the centrifugal pump in the range of very low specific speed and the influence of impeller configuration on the pump performance is very small.         PTV 계측법에 의한 극저비속도 원심펌프의 내부유동특성에 관한 연구

        In the range of very low specific speed (ns<0.25, non-dimensional), the performance of a centrifugal pump is much different from that of a centrifugal pump of normal ns and the efficiency of the pump drops rapidly with the decrease of ns. In order to examine the reason of unstable performance characteristics of the very low ns centrifugal pump, the internal flow of the pump with a semi-open impeller is measured by a PTV(Particle Tracking Velocimetry) system. The purpose of this study is to make clear the internal flow characteristics and to obtain basic knowledge of the pump performance. The results show that the leakage flow through tip clearance give a strong effect on the flow pattern of impeller passage. A large vortex in the impeller passage and a strong reverse flow at impeller outlet are formed in the range of small flow rates, and the vortex and the reverse flow together reduce the absolute tangential velocity at the impeller outlet and cause the performance instability.1. 서 론* 요코하마국립대학 대학원 공학연구원

        토석류의 토사체적농동에 따른 퇴적특성변화에 관한 실험연구

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the sedimentation area and runout distance in the downstream when debris flow occurred on amountain slope through an experimental performance. Super typhoons and torrential rains caused by climate change cause large-scaledebris flow disasters in the downstream areas of mountainous areas, mainly where sediments are deposited and flowed downstream. Toanalyze the characteristics of the sediment deposited downstream, the disposition area and runout distance were investigated throughexperiments in the case of a straight channel and channel with berm, respectively. As experimental conditions, changes in sedimentvolume concentration and channel slope, and channel with or without berm, reduction rates in sedimentation area and runout distancewere investigated. In the straight channel, the steeper the channel slope and the lower the sedimentation concentration, the sedimentationarea and runout distnace were increased. In a channel with berm, the runout distance and sediment area increased as the slope becamesteeper and the sediment area decreased. 본 연구의 목적은 산지 사면에서 토석류가 발생했을 때, 하류에서 토사퇴적면적과 도달거리를 실험을 통해 조사한 것이다. 하류에 퇴적하는 토사의 특성을 분석하기 위하여 수로사면에 소단을 설치하였을 경우 또는 직선 수로인 경우 토사퇴적면적과 도달거리를 실험을 통해 분석하였다. 실험조건으로서는 토사체적농도의 변화 및 수로의 경사변화 그리고 수로의 형태에 따라서 토사퇴적면적과 도달거리의 감소율을 조사하였다. 직선수로에서 수로경사가 급할수록 그리고 토사퇴적농도가 감소할수록 토사퇴적면적과 도달거리는증가하였다. 소단을 갖는 수로에서는 경사가 급할수록 토사퇴적농도가 감소할수록 도달거리 및 토사퇴적농도가 증가하였다. 두 수로에서 토사퇴적면적과 도달거리의 차단율을 비교해보면, 소단을 갖는 수로에서 직선수로인 경우보다 토사퇴적면적과 도달거리의 차단율이 더 높았다. 본 연구의 결과는 급경사지 비탈면에서 토석류가 발생했을 때 효율적인 토석류 저감 또는 방어 대책을 세워 토석류에 의한 피해를 줄이는 데 정보를 제공할 것이다.
