해운환경변화에 따른 서해안 항만 발전방안 연구

본 연구의 목적은 컨테이너 항만으로서의 서해안 항만 특히 목포항 발전방안을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저 최근 일어나고 있는 컨테이너선의 대형화, 선사의 M&A, 전략적 제휴를 통한 정기선 선사의 수평적, 수직적 통합 전략, 선박의 연료비 상승 등과 같은 세계 및 동북아 해운 환경의 변화를 살펴보고 향후 목포항은 이들 환경변화에 대한 대응전략을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 목포항 발전을 위해서 수요자인 화주의 물류부문의 애로사항을 파악하여 개선하고, 또 선사가 기항할 항만 결정 시 고려하는 평가요소인 항만의 이용 중요도와 인천, 평택, 군산, 목포항 이용 만족도 및 항로 적합성과 목포항 발전을 위한 추진업무를 설문 조사하여 목포항의 항로 적합성과 발전 방안을 파악하였다. 설문조사의 결과 목포항의 가장 큰 문제는 컨테이너 물량이 부족하고, 컨테이너 수출입 밸런스가 맞지 않고, 포워더, 내륙운송 업체의 부재, 배후연계 운송네트워크의 미비 등이 지적되었고, 발전방안으로서 항로의 유치, 저렴한 하역비 제공, 배후연계 운송네트워크의 구축 등이 제시 되었다. 위와 같은 사항이 개선되어 목포항의 컨테이너 화물이 유치되면, 항로 적합성으로서 중국의 중부 및 남부 항만의 항로 개설이 유력하고 북중국 및 일본 항로도 적합한 것으로 제시되었다. The purpose of this study is to suggest the new strategies for West coast ports, especially Mokpo Port development. This paper also analyzes the recently evolving change of shipping environment such as upsizing of vessels, horizontal and vertical integration strategies in the liner shipping industries through the mergers and acquisitions or strategic alliances, establishment of dedicated terminal and surging bunker charge. With shipping environment is rapidly changing, we examine how to cope with the current situation and suggest the solutions how to tackle shippers' and shipping companies' request. As a result of an empirical study, we found out that Mokpo Port suffers from the shortage of container cargo, container imbalance, insufficient forwarders and inland trucking service providers and hinterland transportation network system. With these obstacles settled, the number of container cargo can be induced to Mokpo Port and the regular container services between Mokpo and Chinese ports and Japanese ports loops were found to be competitive.

Deep Learning-based Planetary Gear Fault Diagnosis using Frequency Domain Averaging

Planetary gearboxes are widely used throughout industries because it is easy to deal with large gear ratios. The conventional diagnostic method for the planetary gearboxes is to measure the signal with an accelerometer to check the corresponding frequencies to faults types. However, it is difficult to find fault frequencies of mixed planet gears, sun gears, and bearings, since multiple gears are operated simultaneously. In addition, much noise is inherent in the signal. While time synchronous averaging (TSA) is a widely used noise reduction technique that averages multiple vibration signals within one revolution of the gear, tach signal cannot be synchronized in case of planet gears. To overcome this issue, we apply frequency domain averaging, an averaging technique performed in the frequency domain, to planet gear signals to eliminate the unnecessary noise components. In addition, we designed a convolutional neural network (CNN) to distinguish 12 classes of defect signals which consist of planet gear faults, sun gear faults, bearing faults, and combinations of these generated under steady, acceleration, and deceleration conditions. The result shows over 98% accuracy for test data.

한국의 공급 사슬 금융 현황에 관한 연구

본 연구는 공급사슬 재무 메커니즘의 한 형태, 즉 한국 정부에 의해 촉진된 대·중소기업 간의 협력 추진 전략이 운전 자본 개선의 측면에서 (특히 중소기업에 대해) 효과가 있는지를, 대기업 공급자들로부터 직접 수집된 자료를 통하여 분석하였다. 기업 고정 효과 모형을 이용하여 얻은 실증적인 분석 결과는, 독립 기업에 비해, 대기업의 공급자가 기업의 운전 자본 조건을, 운전자본비율, 또는 현금화 사이클 양 측면에서 모두 개선하는 것을 나타내었다. In this paper, we examine whether a special form of SCF mechanism, the one promoted by Korean government through its large firms/SMEs cooperation promotion strategy, has real effects in terms of working capital improvement (especially for SMEs) using a hand collected sample of suppliers for large companies. After controling for potential endogeniety problems by utilizing firm fixed effect model, our empirical results show that compared to standalone firms, being supplier for large companies will improve firm``s working capital condition, either for working capital ratio or for Cash-to-Cash Cycle. And the improvement degree is both statistically and economically significant.

글로벌 공급사슬 형성과 인천항의 경쟁력

현재 세계화의 급속한 물결은 다수의 글로벌 기업을 태동시키며 글로벌 공급사슬(Global Supply Chain, GSC)을 형성하고 있다. 글로벌 공급 사슬의 거점인 항만도 그 기능이 변화하여 글로벌 기업의 공급사슬관리를 위해 어떠한 역할을 담당할 수 있는가가 중요해지고 있고, 이에 따라 항만의 경쟁력 기준도 변화하여 항만 자체간이 아닌 항만을 포함하는 글로벌 공급사슬 간의 경쟁이 되고 있다. 따라서 최근에는 항만의 기능을 글로벌 공급사슬 (SC)기능과 연결하여 분석하고 이에 비추어 항만의 경쟁력을 평가하는 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 새로운 항만기능, 즉 항만의 공급사슬 기능과 이와 관련된 변화된 항만 경쟁력 개념에 대해 조사하고, 공급사슬 개념과 항만 경쟁력 의 상호 관련성에 대해 조사하였다. 또한 한중간 SC 형성등 변화하는 항만 환경을 맞아 글로벌 기업의 효율적, 효과적 SC 관리 요구에 부응하여야 하는 인천항에 대하여 SC 기능과 경쟁력에 대해 평가하고, 앞으로의 발전 전략을 제시 하였다. Rapid progress of globalization around the world makes global supply chain management a very important competitive strategy for global corporation. And ports, where international trade cargoes are coming and going through on a large scale, are becoming global supply chain basis for global corporations. Accordingly, ports' capabilities to support global supply chain activities of global corporation become major tools for the measurement of ports' competitiveness. Recently there have been several studies to find the variables related to port's supply chain function and port's competitiveness. In this study, an effort has been made to identify variables related to port supply chain function and competitiveness. Also, considering the increasing usefulness and rising importance of Incheon port, the supply chain function of Incheon port and it's relationship to Incheon port's competitiveness has been ascertained.

글로벌 공급 사슬 관리의 항만 거점화와 항만 배후단지 활용 -인천항을 중심으로-

경제의 세계화로 글로벌 기업들이 글로벌 공급 사슬 관리(Global Supply Chain Management) 전략을 채택하여 자국의 경계를 넘어가서 전 세계에서 생산 유통 활동을 전개하고 있다. 항만은 국제교역의 거점이라는 장점으로 인하여, 글로벌 기업 경영 활동의 거점으로서, GSCM의 거점으로서 그 기능과 역할이 계속 변화하고 있다. 항만의 서비스는 이런 변화에 부합되게 이루어지고 있으며, 항만 배후단지는 제조·유통·가공 등 부가가치 활동을 전개하면서 항만과 더불어 글로벌 공급 사슬 관리의 거점으로 부상하고 있다. 그러나 아직 세계의 주요 배후단지는 지역적 요구에 부응하는 글로벌 공급 사슬의 부분적 기능을 충족시키는데 그치고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 글로벌 공급 사슬 형 배후단지의 개발을 제시하고, 이를 토대로 글로벌 공급 사슬 관리 측면에서 인천항과 배후단지의 활용 방안을 제시하였다. Economic globalization changes the management of a global corporation, which disperses its production, distribution and sales facilities around the world, utilizing the port and related area such as port hinterlands more and more. Port and hinterlands, together, become a center of global supply chain management, which is the major tool for a global corporation to serve the international customer and compete in the world market. This study explores the concept and strategy of global supply chain management and its relationship to port hinterlands. This study also designed a tentative plan for the use of Incheon port hinterlands with respect to global supply chain management.

동북아 지역 항만의 경쟁구조에 관한 연구

In this paper, we provide a comprehensive quantitative analysis of the dynamic competition/cooperation relationships among major ports in Korea and China. Utilizing time series models, the analysis shows that competition/cooperation equilibrium relationship does not stand in the Korea/China ports relationships in the long run, Korean ports generally have competitive relationships with their Chinese counterparties in the long-run. But in the short-run, the competition/cooperation relationships are mixed. While most Korean-Chinese port pairs have complementary relationship in the short-run, there are a non-trivial proportion of cases in which they react competitively.
