Rats housed in standard activity wheel cages and fed one hour daily died from the fourth day of the experimental period and revealed extensive ulcers in the gradular potions of the stomach. Whereas food-yoked control rats housed in standard cages did not die and were ulcer-free except with one rat. Experimental rats that died were more active than experimental rats that survived. Body weight loss of the experimental rats was more than that of the food-yoked control rats. These results suggested that running activity was critically involved in the development of the actvity-stress ulcer.

Due to humanistic view and parent"s needs, there have been clauned a right to education for the severely and profoundly mental retarded. As the concern changes from custodial care to education and training for these individuals, highly trained teachers will be needed in schools and/or training institutes. But few teachers are trained to teach these children, and few professors of special education are prepared to instruct teachers in educating the severely and profoundly handicapped. Universties has focussed theacher traing in special education to the midly and moderately handicapped. The followings are some training requirements in prospective teacher for the severely and profoundly mental retarded. 1. Diagnosic and Evaluation Techniques: The standard diagnotic and evaluation tools presently employed with the midly handicapped are little use for the severely and profoundly individuals. Moreover any tools for these children have not been developed yet. To accurately assess the functioning level of these children, the teacher must have a thorough working knowledges of human growth and development patterns from birth through begining school. 2. Curriculum: For the severely/profoundly handicapped, the curricular emphasis must focus on response to environmental stimulation, grasping, movement of body parts, vocalization, imitation eye-hand coordination, language aequisition, self feeding, dressing, toileting and social/recreational behaviors. 3. Methodology: With the severely and profoundly handicapped, teacher must have not only understanding behavior modification theory, reinforcement principles, discrimination learning, modeling technique, but also applying these into daily teaching sessions. 4. Interdisciplinary Teamwork: So many severely and profoundly handicapped individuals have multiple handicaps that the activities of these individuals must be considered by physicians, physical therapists, audiologists, speech clinicians and psychologists. 5. Extensive Expenence: Field experiences will permit prospective teachers to determine if they have the abilities and attitudes required. 6. Parents Training: In order for teachers to assume the role of parents trainer, they must be able to explaine the student"s abilties, progress and behavioral traits, and have information concerning community resources. 7. Use of Prothetic Aids: In order to successfully deal with the severely/profoundly handicapped, teacher must be well known in the use of prosthetic aids such as walkers standing tables, whelchairs and modifieded spoons.

The developmental theory of Jean Piaget describes intellectral growth, from sensory-motor intelligence to adult logic. Although Piaget did not dealt with the mentally retarded children, his theory has been applied to those children by many researchers.   Inhelder(1968) proposed a method to order adult retardates according to Piaget"s developmental stage. In this classificatory system, idiot is viewed as fixed at the level of sensorimotor intelligence; imbecile is seen as incapable of surpassing the pre-operational stage; moron is seen as unable to progress beyond concrete operational stage; and the borderline adult is seen as able to use only the simple kinds of formal operational tasks. Hood"s study(1962) on the montally retarded supported Piaget"s notion of stage in the development of number concepts. Lister(1972) studied the development of educationally subnormal children"s understanding of conservation, and then this study results supported that conservation skill can be taught to retarded subjects.   McManis(1969) reported that retarded subjects showed a marked delay in transibity development. This finding is inconsistent with Piaget"s hypothesis that conservation and transibity occur together. Stephens(1966) concluded in his study that conservation of weight was more difficult than conservation of water, and the latter was more difficult than conservation of number for both the mentally retarded and normal subjects. And also. conservation of inequality was less difficult than conservation of equality for all kinds of concepts.   As shown above, these results of investigations into the application of Piaget"s stage-theory of development indicate that the stage of development in the mentally retarded. paralled those described by Piaget, but appear at latter chronological periods.   The fact that people can change and the notion of educability of intelligence have dominated the thinking of those advocating cognitive-based training problems for the mentally retarded. And because of the treamendous variability in cognitive of the mentally retarded task performance with in IQ categories, identification of specific aspects of concept learning holds promise for enhancing the school performance of the mentally retarded children through individualized instruction.

The financial-industrial groups has acquired dominant position in the russian industry in terms of the number of employees and the production of output in Russia over the past 10 years. As many scholars pointed out, these rapid growth of FIGs resulted mainly both from Soviet-era industrial institutional legacies and from the difficult economic transition process. But the real question is: What kind of role do FIGs play both in the reconstruction of Russian industrial organization and in the revitalizing Russian industry. As Juliet Johnson properly pointed out, "are FIGs a transitional phenomenon in Russia, giant dinosaurs destined for extinction?" Through this analysis, it seems that FIGs has a positive effect. at least, on the russian industry facing transitional difficulties. Moreover, after Putin took power in 2000, calling for "strong state", he emphasized government's role in stabilizing and developing Russian economy. Thus for the short-run, the influence and position of FIGs in russian industrial organization will be strengthened in Russia which has now a number of difficult economic problems. However, for the long-run, the future of FIGs will be uncertain. As already shown in above analysis, most FIGs lacked formal structure in terms of an ambiguous management structure and the lack of clear governance structure. Moreover, there are still a number of conflicts between FIG legislations and other legislations. All of these phenomena will force FIGs to be operated in inefficient ways and finally to go away.
