The vitrification processes and characteristics of basalt stone dust were assessed for applications. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) confirmed that basalt stone dust was comprised of most of the mineral types of Albite, Anorthite, Aegirine, Augite, and Quartz and minor mineral types of Diopside and Forsterite. XRF showed that the SiO₂, Al₂O₃, Fe₂O₃, and CaO were mainly present in the basalt stone dust. XRD and observations of the pellet showed that the basalt stone dusts began to melt from 1200℃ to higher temperature ranges. When Borax (Na₂B4O7-10H₂O) was added to the basalt stone dusts, however, the melting point (MP) of the basalt stone dust system was approximately 700℃, showing more than 500℃ reduction. Therefore, it is necessary to add Borax to basalt stone dust for the purpose of recycling as glass and energy savings.
Vol.27 No.6
This study analyzed the impacts of job stress of building maintenance workers on their burnout. This study explores two themes, one is the main effect of job stress on burnout, the other is the moderating effects of distributive justice and procedural justice on the relationship between stress and burnout. Considering that most maintenance workers earn low wages, we hypothesized that the moderating effects of distributive justice would be significant but the moderating effects of procedural justice would not. As expected, Overall empirical results were consistent with our hypotheses. We discussed the managerial implications and presented the future direction of these themes.
