The metropolitan subway platform is always susceptible to fire disaster, whereas train turbulence, dust, and high temperature air stream pose a threat to passengers' safety. Recently the government reports the plan to install platform screen doors (PSD) on all of the subway stations. Compared with developed countries, indigenous design standard is not established yet. In this study, we performed the numerical analysis of such a PSD system, and its testing equipment for ensuring against such risks. Commercial finite element software package, ANSYS was used for structural analysis. In consequence of this analysis, the structural safety of the testing PSD equipment was confirmed, and the critical load condition was found.
