        증례보고 : 가열호흡회로 내 증류수로 인한 열/습도 교환기 폐쇄 일례

        Heat-moisture exchanger (HME) is an inexpensive and effective device used to prevent respiratory complications that can be caused by endotracheal tube insertion during general anesthesia. But, HME can increase airway resistance and be occluded by the patient`s secretions. Whether a HME could be occluded by clear fluids such as condensate in the airway circuit is not certain yet. In vitro, a case of HME occlusion by normal saline was reported. We report a case of HME obstruction by distilled water came from the heated wire circuit which was unintentionally connected to the HME. (Korean J Anesthesiol 2009;57:358∼60)

        A finite element modeling system for crash analysis of automobiles has been developed. The system. AutoPnP, is composed of a pre-processor and a post-processor, and is designed to be linked to AutoCrash. an explicit finite element analysis program developed for crash analysis. The entire system is composed of GUI and a mesh generating module and a post-processing module. As for surface mesh generation, both structured and unstructured quadrilateral shell elements can be constructed on 3D surfaces that involves planar, cylindrical. blending and B-spline surfaces, while for volume mesh generation hexahedral elements with sections of both uniform and nonuniform quadrilaterals can be constructed. Post-processing module includes XY-plotting and filtering, mesh display and deformed shape display.

        중소병원 야간교대근무 간호사의 수면의 질, 직무몰입, 웰니스의 관계

        Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between quality of sleep, job commitment, wellness, and identify contributing factors affecting on the wellness of night shift nurses in medium and small-sized hospitals. Methods: One hundred twenty four nurses who had working experiences with night shifts for 6 months or more completed a pack of questionnaires. Collected data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA with Scheffe test, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Factors including quality of sleep, job commitment, and wellness were identified. The quality of sleep score of the subject was 7.55(0-21), the job commitment was 20.17(7-35), and the wellness was 2.93(1-5). There was no significant in wellness according to general characteristics of subjects. The subjects' wellness had a significant negative correlation with quality of sleep(r=-0.31, p<0.001), and a significant positive correlation with job commitment(r=0.45, p<0.001). Regression analysis to identify factors affecting the wellness of night shift nurses showed that job commitment was the most significant factor (p<0.001), followed by quality of sleep(p=0.049). In the regression analysis, quality of sleep and job commitment were significant predictors and explained 21.9%(p<0.001) of wellness. Conclusions: Results of this study have suggested that job commitment and quality of sleep were significantly related to nurses' wellness in medium and small-sized hospitals. Therefore, there is a needed to develop a program with an enhancement of job commitment and a strategy of improving quality of sleep.

        Ileal variceal bleeding is an uncommon complication which results from liver cirrhosis with portal hypertention. 1n cirrhotic patients, bleeding most commonly occurs from portal-venous shunts at the cardioesophageal junction but occurs also at any gastrointestinal tract. Ileal varices represent about one third of this ectopic varix affecting the digestive tract. The most prominent clinical features of ileal varix are hematochezia and tarry stool due to lower gastrointestinal bleeding. Superior mesenteric arteriography is regarded as important diagnostic method and on the venous phase enlarged and tortous vein is usually found. Intestinal resection of the area of variceal formation and portal-systemic shunt are recommended as a therapeutic method. We report a case of massive gastrointestinal hemorrhage due to ileal varix with review of literature. (Korean J Gastroenterol 1997; 30:815 - 819)

        질소관비 수준이 래빗아이 블루베리 '브라이트웰'의 생장과 양분흡수에 미치는 영향

        래빗아이 블루베리는 근모가 없는 섬유질 뿌리와 천근적 분포로 인하여 양분 이용효율이 낮다. 따라서 본 연구는 래빗 아이 블루베리의 생육과 과실특성에 미치는 질소 관비효과를 조사하여 효율성 높은 양분관리 기준을 마련하고자 수행하였다. 시험에 사용된 Brightwell(Vaccinium ashei Reade)품종의 관비처리는 재식 년차별 시비기준 (재식 1-2-3년 : 6-9-14 g/bush)으로 무 질소구와 기준 시비량의 50, 100 그리고 200%로 구분하여 처리하였다. 엽중 질소함량은 과중과 수확량에 유의성 있는 정의 상관관계를 나타냈다. 그러나 수관면적, 건물중, 당 그리고 안토시아닌 등은 유의성 있는 상관관계를 나타내지 않았다. 재식 3년차 블루베리의 엽과 줄기 건물중은 각각 723.7 g, 890.7 g/bush을 나타낸 50% 관비처리가 가장 높았다. 재식 3년차 과실수확량은 50%관비구에서 가장 높은 12.9 kg/bush으로 무비구 대비 약 70%의 증가량을 나타냈으며, 100%와 200% 관비구에서는 50% 관비구와 비교하여 각각 17와 12%가 감소한 11와 11.5 kg/bush의 수확량을 나타냈다. 질소 시비에 따른 이용율은 50% 관비구가 90%로 가장 높았으며, 200% 관비구가 가장 낮은 18%를 나타냈다. 따라서 본 연구는 기준 시비량의 50%를 관비하는 것이 'Brightwell'의 생육과 질소의 시비효율에 가장 효과적이었다는 결과를 제시하였다. BACKGROUND: Rabbiteye blueberry(Vaccinium ashei Reade) has low nutrient uptake efficiency due to its shallow and fibrous root system without root hairs. This study was carried out to establish an efficient nutrient application standard by investigating the effect of nitrogen fertigation on the growth and fruit characteristics of rabbiteye blueberry. METHODS AND RESULTS: 'Brightwell' rabbiteye blueberry was treated with 0, 50, 100 and 200% nitrogen fertigation of recommended fertilizer application (6, 9 and 14 g/bush in the first, second and third years, respectively). The results showed that leaf nitrogen content significantly correlated with the fruit weight and fruit yield. However, canopy area, dry weight, sugar and anthocyanin contents did not correlate significantly with the leaf nitrogen content. The leaf and stem dry weights of 'Brightwell' rabbiteye blueberry during the third year of planting were the highest with 50% nitrogen fertigation (leaf dry weight=723.7 g/bush; stem dry weight=890.7 g/bush). Maximum fruit yield of 'Brightwell' rabbiteye blueberry (12.9 kg/bush) was observed during the third year of planting with 50% nitrogen fertigation and this was about 70% greater than the treatment that received no nitrogen fertigation. The fruit yields of 'Brightwell' rabbiteye blueberry during the third year of planting treated with 100 and 200% nitrogen fertigation were 11.0 and 11.5 kg/bush, and these were 17 and 12%lower than the 50% nitrogen fertigation treatment, respectively. Further, the efficiency of nitrogen utilization was the highest (90%) with 50% nitrogen fertigation and lowest (18%) with 200% nitrogen fertigation. CONCLUSION: The results of this study suggests that fertigation with 50% of the recommended fertilizer could be most effective for enhancing the growth and nitrogen use efficiency of rabbiteye blueberry.

        Tuber Yield and Size Distribution of Potato 'Dejima' (Solanum tuberosum L.) Affected by Stem Cutting Ages and Harvest time in Aeroponics

        본 연구는 경삽묘의 생리적 서령과 분무재배시 수확시기가 감자 '대지' 품종의 생육과 수량에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 실시되었다. 경삽묘는 조직배양묘를 삽목하여 생산하였고 삽목 후 20, 30, 40, 50일된 경삽묘를 분무재배에 이용하였다. 분무재배시 정식 후 60, 70, 80, 90일에 각각 괴경을 수확하였고 수확한 괴경은 1~5, 5~10, 10~20, 20~30, 30~40, 40g 이상의 크기로 분류하였다. 삽목 한 후 40일이 경과된 경삽묘의 평균 초장이 전생육기간에 걸쳐 가장 길었지만 정식 후 75일에는 모든 연령의 경삽묘 간의 초장에 대한 유의차는 없었다. 주당 괴경중은 정식 후 90일까지 꾸준히 증가하였으며 삽목 후 20일과 40일된 경삽묘를 정식할 때 가장 무거웠고 주당 괴경수도 가장 많았다. 그러나 50일 된 경삽묘를 제외하고 20, 30, 40일된 경삽묘 간에 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었다. 정식 후 80일과 90일에 수확하는 것이 5g 이상의 괴경 수확을 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. This study was carried out to investigate the effects of stem cutting ages and harvest time on the growth and yield of potato 'Dejima' in aeroponics. The stem cuttings were produced from in vitro plantlets and transplanted into an aeroponic system with 20, 30, 40 and 50 day-old stem cuttings (DOS). Tubers were harvested 60, 70, 80 and 90 days after transplanting (DAT) and sorted into following categories: 1~5, 5~10,10~20,20~30,30~40 and over 40g. Plant height from the 40 DOS was the highest during the growing periods but no significant difference was observed on 75 DAT. The tuber weight increased until 90 DAT with the greatest weight of tubers in the 20 and 40 DOS. However, there was no significant difference among 20, 30 and 40 DOS in the number and weight of tubers. Harvesting at 80 and 90 DAT increased the number of tubers over 5 g, which are usually considered as appropriate for direct field planting.

        'Skinny Green', a Novel Hairless Green-fleshed Baby Kiwifruit

        '스키니그린'은 농촌진흥청 국립원예특작과학원에서 육성된 세번째 털 없는 미니 참다래 품종이다. 교배모본은 한국에서 수집된 야생 다래($Actinidia$ $arguta$)와 수품종 토무리($A.$ $deliciosa$) 사이의 교잡에서 선발된 중간계통인 KN8903이며, 부본은 한국의 산에서 수집된 야생 다래($A.$ $arguta$)이다. 이 품종의 주요 특징은 과중이 19.3g으로 한 입에 먹을 수 있는 과실크기와 과피에 털이 없고 얇아 껍질째 먹을 수 있다는 것이다. 과육의 색은 녹색이며, 당도와 산함량은 각각 $16.7^{\circ}Brix$와 0.91%이다. 수확은 주로 10월 중순에 이루어지며, 자가결실성이 없는 품종으로 정상적인 착과를 위해서는 인공수분이 필요하다. 또한 풍산성으로 적절한 적과 작업이 필요하다. 'Skinny Green' is the third hairless-variety release by National Institute of Horticultural & Herbal Science (NIHHS) of Rural Development Administration (RDA) in Korea. It was bred by field crossing using the KN8903 as the mother plant, which had been selected from the crossbreeding of a Korean wild germplasm of tara vine with a male $Actinidia$ $deliciosa$ cv. Tomuri, and tara vine as the father plant collected from Korean mountains. The principal features of the final release are firstly, the fruit size not bigger than a mouthful bite with the average fruit weight not more than 19.3 g, and secondly, the thin and hairless edible fruit skin. It has green flesh color maintaining soluble solids and acid contents about $16.7^{\circ}Brix$ and 0.91% respectively. Its harvest season is usually in mid October. As it is not self-fertile it needs artificial pollination. Its tendency to produce maximum numbers of fruit requires thinning out of the fruits in a proper way.

      • 난지형 조숙종 마늘 신품종 ‘올캐’ 특성

        원예연구소 남해출장소에서는 원예적 특성이 우수한 유전자원을 도입 선발하여 ‘올캐’로 명명하였다. 특성평가를 2000년부터 3년간 실시하였으며 2003년부터 3년간 지역적응시험을 실시한 결과 그 특성이 우수하여 품종등록 하였다. 도입 육성한 ‘올캐’ 마늘은 난지형 조숙종 마늘로 생태형으로는 난지형이며 추대형은 완전 추대종이다. 인경의 모양은 아래가 평편한 구형이며 구색과 인편색은 약간 자색이 돈다. 인편의 배열은 동심형(concentric)으로 ‘남도’ 마늘과 같다. 초형은 직립이며 초장, 엽초경 및 잎의 수는 대비종인 ‘남도’ 마늘에 비해서 약간 작거나 적으며 잎의 색깔은 ‘남도’ 마늘에 비해서 약간 연한 녹색이다. 평균구중은 42.2g으로 ‘남도’ 마늘 40.5g 보다 약간 무거우며 인경의 모양은 대비종인 ‘남도’ 마늘과 비슷하다. ‘올캐’ 마늘의 추대기는 3월 하순으로 ‘남도’ 마늘보다 15~20일 정도 빠르며 수확기도 일주일 이상 빠르다. Namhae Sub-station of National Horticultural Research Institute has collected 240 different garlic germplasms since 1999 and has used germplasms of superior quality. Among them, ‘Namhae 57328’ is a precocious variety with superior characteristics of growth and bulb, and was named ‘Allkae’ garlic (Allium sativum) in 2006. The garlic was registered after 3 consecutive years’ assessment of the variety trait starting from 2000 and a 3 consecutive years’ adaptability test from 2003. The ecotype of ‘Allkae’ garlic is southern one and bolting one is complete bolting type. The bottom of a bulb is flat and the colors of a bulb and a clove are light purple, and the arrangement of cloves is concentric as in ‘Namdo’ garlic. The plant type is erect one and its height is slightly smaller than ‘Namdo’ garlic’ one but it’s bolting in mid March which is about 20 days ahead of ‘Namdo’ garlic. Average bulb weight is 42.2 g which is slightly heavier than ‘Namdo’ garlic (40.5 g). The shape of the bulb is similar with ‘Namdo’ garlic.
