졸-겔 방법에 의하여 제조된 TiO2와 TiO2-SiO2 광촉매를 이용한 음용수 중의 대장균 살균과 엔도톡신 제거에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 대장균 살균실험은 대장균이 포함된 물이 순환되는 annular-흐름식 광촉매 코팅 반응기에서 수행되었다. 대장균의 살균능은 TiO2와 TiO2-SiO2 광촉매의 아나타제 결정성피크의 세기와 비례하였다. UV-A 조사하에 TiO2가 코팅된 반응기에서 2시간 내에 대장균을 100% 살균시킬 수 있었으며, 대장균 사멸시 생성되는 독성물질인 엔도톡신이 존재하지 않았다. 그러나 UV-C 조사하에서는 30분 이내에 대장균을 100% 살균할 수 있었으나 엔도톡신이 완전히 제게되지 않았다. 따라서 광촉매와 UV-A 조사가 음용수 살균에 유용함을 알 수 있었다.

Purpose: This is a descriptive study conducted in order to survey sleep patterns and factors responsible for sleep disturbance among adolescent cancer patients after hospital admission. Methods: The study group included 46 adolescent cancer patients aged 10 to 19 who received admission care in multi-bed hospital rooms from March to June 2016. Data on patterns and quality of sleep, and factors causing sleep disturbance were recorded using the Verran and Snyder-Halpern(VSH) Sleep Scale, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and a sleep disturbance questionnaire. Results: There was no difference in patterns and quality of sleep prior to and after hospital admission in the study group. However, patients experienced sleep disturbance, as defined by PSQI 〉 5, both before (5.43) and after (6.30) admission. The most important physical, emotional and environmental factors causing sleep disturbance after admission were nocturnal diuresis, monotony of admission care, and crying of younger patients respectively. Conclusion: This study focused on sleep patterns and factors causing sleep disturbance after hospital admission for adolescent cancer patients. Future studies should aim to develop nursing interventions resulting in an environment that improves sleep quality. Additional studies should focus on developing daytime programs to determine the impact of admission care on other quality of life parameters.

In this paper we suggest a development of surface defect inspection algorithms for cold mill strip. The defects which exist in a surface of cold mill strip have a scattering or singular distribution. This paper consists of preprocessing, feature extraction and defect classification. By preprocessing, the binarized defect image is achieved. In this procedure, Top-hit transform, adaptive thresholding, thinning and noise rejection are used. Especially, Top-hit transform using local min/max operation diminishes the effect of bad lighting. In feature extraction, geometric, moment and co-occurrence matrix features are calculated. For the defect classification, multilayer neural network is used. The proposed algorithm showed 15% error rate.
HPLC를 이용한 백삼,홍삼 및 홍삼 농죽액의 Ginsenosides 함량 분석

Commercial White ginseng(WG), Red ginseng (RG), and Red ginseng concentrate(RGC) were analyzed for ginsenosides Rg1, Rb1, and Re by HPLC. The contents of Rg1, Rb and Re were 0.25%, 0.17%, 0.13% in WG, the contents of Rg1, Rb1, and Re were 0.11%, 0.23%, 0.12% in RG, and the contents of Rg1, Rb1, and Re were 0.7%, 0.04%, 0.42% in RGC. In Rg1, the contents were decreased in the order of RGC(O.70%)>WG (0.25%)>RG(O.11%), in Rb1, RG(O.23%)>WG(O.17%)> RGC(O.04%), in Re, RGC(0.42%)>WG(0.13%)>RG(O.12%). The total content s of Rg1, Rb1, and Re were decreased in the order of RGC(1.16%)>WG(0.55%)>RG(O.46%). Overall results demonstrated that The content of Rg1 was higher than those of Rb1 and Re in WG and RGC, while the content of Rb1 was higher than those of Rg1 and Re in RG.
