        Gini 계수를 이용한 Blind Source Recovery 방법의 구현

        UBSS (under-determined blind source separation)는 BMMR (blind mixing matrix recovery) 과정과 BSR (blind source recovery) 과정으로 구분된다. 일반적으로 이 두 과정은 취득된 데이터의 sparseness를 이용하여 수행되는데, 얼마나 sparseness를 정확히 측정하느냐에 따라 그 성능이 좌우된다. 본 논문에서는 Gini 계수를 이용한 sparseness의 측정 방법을 BSR 과정에 도입하여, $l_1$-노름, $l_q$-노름과 쌍곡탄젠트 (hyperbolic tangent)를 이용하는 측정 방법들과 비교하였으며, 보다 정확한 sparseness 측정과 향상된 BSR 성능을 획득하였다. 이는 컴퓨터 모의 실험을 통하여 검증되었다. UBSS (unde-determined blind source separation) is composed of the stages of BMMR (blind mixing matrix recovery) and BSR (blind source recovery). Generally, these two stages are executed using the sparseness of the observed data, and their performance is influenced by the accuracy of the measure of the sparseness. In this paper, as introducing the measure of the sparseness using the Gini coefficient to BSR stage, we obtained more accurate measure of the sparseness and better performance of BSR than methods using the $l_1$-norm, $l_q$-norm, and hyperbolic tangent, which was confirmed via computer simulations.

        부품 내장 공정을 이용한 5G용 내장형 능동소자에 관한 연구

        본 논문에서는 Bare-die Chip 형태의 Drive amplifier를 Ajinomoto Build-up Film (ABF)와 FR-4로 구성된 PCB에 내장함으로써 28 GHz 대역 모듈에서 적용될 수 있는 내장형 능동소자 모듈을 구현하였다. 내장형 모듈에 사용된 유전체 ABF는 유전율 3.2, 유전손실 0.016의 특성을 가지고 있으며, Cavity가 형성되어 Drive amplifier가 내장되는 FR4는 유전율 3.5, 유전손실 0.02의 특성을 가진다. 제안된 내장형 Drive amplifier는 총 2가지 구조로 공정하였으며 측정을 통해 각각의 S-Parameter특성을 확인하였다. 공정을 진행한 2가지 구조는 Bare-die Chip의 패드가 위를 향하는 Face-up 내장 구조와 Bare-die Chip의 패드가 아래를 향하는 Face-down내장 구조이다. 구현한 내장형 모듈은 Taconic 사의 TLY-5A(유전율 2.17, 유전손실 0.0002)를 이용한 테스트 보드에 실장 하여 측정을 진행하였다. Face-down 구조로 내장한 모듈은 Face-up 구조에 비해 Bare-die chip의 RF signal패드에서부터 형성된 패턴까지의 배선 길이가 짧아 이득 성능이 좋을 것이라 예상하였지만, Bare-die chip에 위치한 Ground가 Through via를 통해 접지되는 만큼 Drive amplifier에 Ground가 확보되지 않아 발진이 발생한다는 것을 확인하였다. 반면 Bare-die chip의 G round가 부착되는 PCB의 패턴에 직접적으로 접지되는 Face-up 구조는 25 GHz에서부터 30 GHz까지 약 10 dB 이상의 안정적인 이득 특성을 냈으며 목표주파수 대역인 28 GHz에서의 이득은 12.32 dB이다. Face-up 구조로 내장한 모듈의 출력 특성은 신호 발생기와 신호분석기를 사용하여 측정하였다. 신호 발생기의 입력전력(P<sub>in</sub>)을 -10 dBm에서 20 dBm까지 인가하여 측정하였을 때, 구현한 내장형 모듈의 이득압축점(P<sub>1dB</sub>)는 20.38 dB으로 특성을 확인할 수 있었다. 측정을 통해 본 논문에서 사용한 Drive amplifier와 같은 Bare-die chip을 PCB에 내장할 때 Ground 접지 방식에 따라 발진이 개선된다는 것을 검증하였으며, 이를 통해 Chip Face-up 구조로 Drive amplifier를 내장한 모듈은 밀리미터파 대역의 통신 모듈에 충분히 적용될 수 있을 것이라고 판단된다. In this paper, by embedding a bare-die chip-type drive amplifier into the PCB composed of ABF and FR-4, it implements an embedded active device that can be applied in 28 GHz band modules. The ABF has a dielectric constant of 3.2 and a dielectric loss of 0.016. The FR-4 where the drive amplifier is embedded has a dielectric constant of 3.5 and a dielectric loss of 0.02. The proposed embedded module is processed into two structures, and S-parameter properties are confirmed with measurements. The two process structures are an embedding structure of face-up and an embedding structure of face-down. The fabricated module is measured on a designed test board using Taconic's TLY-5A(dielectric constant : 2.17, dielectric loss : 0.0002). The PCB which embedded into the face-down expected better gain performance due to shorter interconnection-line from the RF pad of the Bear-die chip to the pattern of formed layer. But it is verified that the ground at the bottom of the bear-die chip is grounded Through via, resulting in an oscillation. On the other hand, the face-up structure has a stable gain characteristic of more than 10 dB from 25 GHz to 30 GHz, with a gain of 12.32 dB at the center frequency of 28 GHz. The output characteristics of module embedded into the face-up structure are measured using signal generator and spectrum analyzer. When the input power (P<sub>in</sub>) of the signal generator was applied from -10 dBm to 20 dBm, the gain compression point (P<sub>1dB</sub>) of the embedded module was 20.38 dB. Ultimately, the bare-die chip used in this paper was verified through measurement that the oscillation is improved according to the grounding methods when embedding in a PCB. Thus, the module embedded into the face-up structure will be able to be properly used for communication modules in millimeter wave bands.

        구난장갑차 크레인 브래킷에 대한 구조건전성 평가

        For towing the new type armored vehicle and maintaining the close support, the armored recovery vehicle(ARV) with winch and crane has been developed. In case of crane, it is mainly used to salvage heavy objects by rotational and vertical motion. Especially, the crane bracket is very important parts due to fixing the ARV's body and rotary joint and preventing the force rotation of crane. Therefore, the crane bracket needs to have an enough strength to endure the high load and it is very important to analyze the stress distribution under loads. In the present work, the experimental and analytical investigation on structural integrity evaluation of crane bracket were carried out. The simulation of three-dimensional finite element method(FEM) was compared with experimental datum. From the numerical results, the FEM simulations corresponded well with th experimental results and the structural safety was confirmed by safety factor.

        제일인산칼륨과 벤토나이트 처리를 통한 토양 내 TNT와 중금속 이동성 및 인체위해도 저감 기술

        Simultaneous mobility reduction of explosives and heavy metals in an operational range by monopotassium phosphate (MKP) and bentonite spreading technology was investigated. Potassium ion and phosphate ion in MKP act as explosives sorption enhancer and insoluble heavy metal phosphate formation, respectively, while bentonite acts as the explosives adsorbent. Then, the decrease in surface water concentration of the pollutants and resulting risk reduction for local residents of the operational range, by MKP/bentonite application was estimated. Under untreated scenario, the noncancer hazard index (HI) exceeded unity on February, July and August, mainly due to 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT); however, MKP/bentonite treatment was expected to lower the noncancer hazard index by decreasing the surface water concentration of explosives and heavy metals (especially TNT). For example, on July, estimated surface water concentration and HI of TNT were 0.01 mg/L and 1.1, respectively, meanwhile the sorption coefficient of TNT was 3.9 mg<sup>1−n</sup>kg<sup>−1</sup>L<sup>n</sup>. However, by MKP/bentonite treatment, the TNT sorption coefficient increased to 113.8 mg<sup>1−n</sup>kg<sup>−1</sup>L<sup>n</sup> and the surface water concentration and HI decreased to about 0.002 mg/L and 0.2, respectively. Based on the result, it can be concluded that MKP/bentonite spreading is a benign technology that can mitigate the risk posed by the pollutants migration from operational ranges.

        다양한 위해성평가 방법에 따라 도출한 오염토양 선별기준의 차이에 관한 연구 (I): 매체 간 이동현상 해석에 따른 차이

        Risk-based screening levels (RBSLs) of some pollutants for residential adults were derived with risk assessment tools developed by United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and Korea Ministry of Environment (KMOE) and compared each other. To make the comparison simple, ingestion of soil, dermal contact with soil, outdoor inhalation of vapors, indoor inhalation of vapors, and inhalation of soil particulates were chosen as exposure pathways. The results showed that the derived RBSLs varied for every exposure pathway. For direct exposure pathways (i.e., ingestion of soil and dermal contact with soil), the derived RBSLs varied mainly due to the different default values for exposure factors and toxicity data. When identical default values for the parameters were used, the same RBSLs could be derived regardless of the assessment tools used. For inhalation of vapors and inhalation of soil particulates, however, different analysis methods for cross-media transfer rates were used and different assumptions were established for each tool, identical RBSLs could not be obtained even if the same default values for exposure factors were used. Especially for inhalation of soil particulates pathway, screening level derived using KMOE approach (most conservative) was approximately 5000~10000 times lower than the screening level derived using ASTM approach (least conservative). Our results suggest that, when deriving RBSL using a specific tool, it is a prerequisite to technically review the analysis methods for cross-media transfer rates as well as to understand how the assessment tool derives the default values for exposure factors.

        다양한 위해성평가 방법에 따라 도출한 토양오염 판정기준의 차이에 관한 연구(III): 우리나라 납 오염 위해성평가 방법 제안

        The most critical health effect of lead exposure is the neurodevelopmental effect to children caused by the increased blood lead level. Therefore, the endpoint of the risk assessment for lead-contaminated sites should be set at the blood lead level of children. In foreign countries, the risk assessment for lead-contaminated sites is conducted by estimating the increased blood lead level of children via oral intake and/or inhalation (United States Environmental Protection Agency, USEPA), or by comparing the estimated oral dose to the threshold oral dose of lead, which is derived from the permissible blood lead level of children (Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, RIVM). For the risk assessment, USEPA employs Integrated-Exposure-Uptake-Biokinetic (IEUBK) Model to check whether the estimated portion of children whose blood lead level exceeds 10 μg/dL, threshold blood lead level determined by USEPA, is higher than 5%, while Dutch RIVM compares the estimated oral dose of lead to the threshold oral dose (2.8 μg/kg-day), which is derived from the permissible blood lead level of children. In Korea, like The Netherlands, risk assessment for lead-contaminated sites is conducted by comparing the estimated oral dose to the threshold oral dose; however, because the threshold oral dose listed in Korean risk assessment guidance is an unidentified value, it is recommended to revise the existing threshold oral dose described in Korean risk assessment guidance. And, if significant lead exposure via inhalation is suspected, it is useful to employ IEUBK Model to derive the risk posed via multimedia exposure (i.e., both oral ingestion and inhalation).

        궤도차량 변속기 출력 하우징의 구조건전성 평가에 대한 연구

        Transmission of a tracked vehicle designed for multiple functions such as steering, gear-shifting, and braking is a core component of heavy vehicle to which the power is transferred based on combined technology of various gears, bearing, and fluid machineries. Robustness and durability of transmission, however, have been issued due to a large number of driving units and sub-components inside its body. Particularly, transmission housing is important structure which supports the transmission, and is made of aluminum alloy. Thus, structural robustness against such mechanical loading or vibration must be attained. Structural reliability evaluation through FEM analysis can save time and cost of the actual tests. In this study, structural evaluation is conducted on output housing of transmission, which is core component of tracked vehicle, using the simulation program. In addition, transmission dynamo test is performed to evaluate structural robustness of the output housing against the vibration which can be produced during the transmission operation.

        다양한 위해성평가 방법에 따라 도출한 토양오염 판정기준의 차이에 관한 연구 (II): (구)장항제련소부지의 기상 및 부지 특성을 반영한 비산계수 결정

        This paper presents the short-term and long-term measures to determine the fugitive dust concentration in a contaminated site, which is a crucial step for the determination of particulate emission factor (PEF) for risk assessment. As a long-term measure, USEPA method employing Q/C value (inverse of the ratio of the geometric mean air concentration to the emission flux at center of a 0.5-acre square source) seems to be suitable as it reflects regional-specific meteorological conditions. However, it requires nation-wide database collection and interpretation. Use of ASTM method is an alternative as a short-term measure. The method is readily field-applicable as PEF calculation equation is simple and input parameters can be easily derived at the site of interest as well without the nation-wide efforts. Using ASTM method, PEF at the Former Janghang Smelter Site was determined. According to various mode of aggregate size distribution and fractions of vegetative cover, which are the most important factors in PEF calculation, PEF values at the Former Janghang Smelter Site varied greatly. When the mode of aggregate size distribution was set at 0.25 mm, PEF values at the Former Janghang Smelter Site was 5~20 times higher than the default PEF value (i.e., 35 ${\mu}g/m^3$) shown in the current Korean Soil Contamination Risk Assessment Guidance. On contrast, when the mode was set at 2 mm, PEF values at the Former Janghang Smelter Site was 160~640 times lower than the default PEF value in the Korean Guidance.

        다양한 실내 침투 휘발물질 농도 예측 방법을 이용한 토양오염물질의 실내흡입 위해성평가

        Indoor inhalation of vapors intruded into buildings is an important exposure pathway in volatile organic compoundscontaminated sites. Site-specifically measured indoor air concentration is preferentially used for risk assessment. However, when indoor air concentration of VOC is not measured, the indoor air concentration needs to be estimated from soil concentration or measured soil gas concentration of the VOC. Some risk assessment guidance (e.g., Korea Ministry of Environment (KMOE) and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International guidance) estimate the indoor air concentration from soil concentration while other guidances (e.g., United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and Dutch National Institute for Public Health (RIVM)) estimate it from measured soil gas concentration. This study derived indoor inhalation risks of intruded benzene in two benzene-contaminated residential areas with four different risk assessment guidances (i.e., KMOE, USEPA, ASTM, and Dutch RIVM) and compared the derived risks. The risk assessment results revealed that indoor air estimation approach from soil concentration could either underestimate (when the contaminant is not detected in soil) or overestimate (when the contaminant is detected in soil even at negligible concentration) the indoor air inhalation risk. Hence, this paper recommends to estimate indoor air concentration from soil gas concentration, rather than soil concentration. Discussions about the various indoor air concentration estimation approaches are provided.

        오염물질 확산방지를 위한 운영중 군 사격장 환경관리방안에 대한 고찰

        Pollutants such as heavy metals and explosives originating from the military operational ranges can be migrated to adjacent surface water body or offsite soil, and can affect to local residents and aquatic ecosystem. Therefore, Korea Ministry of the National Defense has established various guidelines for environmental management including the installation of pollutant migration prevention facilities (PMPFs) and monitoring methodologies for heavy metals in the operational range soil and effluent and sediment of PMPFs. However, current guidelines neither address the explosive compounds such as 2, 4, 6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) and hexahydro-1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazine (RDX) nor suggest detailed environmental investigation protocol. This paper introduces the new “Environmental Management Manual for Military Firing Ranges”, which includes the environmental criteria for explosives as well as the detailed investigation protocol for the affected environmental media including soil, effluent and sediment of PMPFs.
