The second edition of the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR 2) was published in December 1978. In 1974 representatives Qf five bodies from Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States established the Joint Steering Committee for Revision of AACR, and set the aims, structure, and content of AACR 2. Although the goal of a single text for Britain and North America was achieved in AACR 2, the American library community expressed concern about cost-effectiveness of adoption of the new code, and consquently the LC implementation plan called for some minor departures from AACR 2. LC's plan to depart from a number of provisions of the new code will cause a continuation of the problems presented by past practices of superimposition. The purpose of this paper is to examine the revisions made in AACR 2 in the hope that it will contribute to efforts of Korean librarians seeking to focus on the major questions requiring discussion and decisions before adoption of AACR 2 by Korean research libraries who have already adopted Anglo-American Cataloging Rules for Western materials. In this paper attempts were made to follow the order of subjects treated in the code, beginning with general revisions, followed by a discussion of each of the parts of the code, the first for bibliographic description and the second for choice and form of access points. The differences between AACR 1 and AACR 2 that will be most significant to cataloguers are compared with examples. Comparative analysis of optional and alternative rules are viewed from a historical background, and their practical applications for the different types of libraries / or materials are discussed. Specifications of the options adapted by the Library of Congress are presented. Adaption of AACR 2 poses continual problems in Korea. It is very important to maintain consistent sets of information consistently presented in the catalogue regardless of its language. The recognition by cataloguers of the urgent need for conformity and campatability of catalogue between Western mateirals and Oriental materials is recommended, if AACR 2 is to be adapted. It would be intolerable for the catalogue users, if different standards of description and headings were to apply in the same catalogue.

This study examined actions by a housewife as a household manager against economic crisis from a systematic view. Thus the main purpose of the study is to determine relations between input variables such as future and fate control values influencing types of such actions and an output variable, economic life satisfaction after taking the actions. The two values employed indicators which have been newly prepared by classifying definitions of time and fate values, provided by Kluckhohn in setting value indicators, into many items. Indicators for actions against economic crisis were positive and passive ones. Here positive actions mean responses to such crisis through income expansion while passive actions, efforts of expenditure reduction through desire limitation. Economic life satisfaction were prepared by modifying indicators provided by Patrica, Davis & Helmick and Hira, respectively. Regarding the construction of this paper, hypotheses were first established under a theoretical background and tested. Then reasonableness of the entire research model herein were determined according to results of the test. Finally, the researcher investigated whether the model will be reasonable even when related cultural background are controlled.
Development of transparent dielectric paste for PDP

플라즈마 디스플레이는 후막기술을 이용하여 화면의 크기를 늘리는 것이 쉽기 때문에 고선명 TV의 가장 유력한 후보이다. 본 연구에서는 플라즈마 디스플레이용 유전체의 조건을 만족하는 lead borosilicate 유리를 이용한 투명 유전체 재료를 개발하였다. 또한 이 유리를 이용하여 페이스트를 제조하였다. 페이스트는 스크린 프린팅에 적합한 요변성을 나타내었고, 입자 크기가 작아질수록 더욱 강한 요변성을 나타내었다. 열처리 후 후막의 파단면을 전자현미경으로 관찰하였다. 후막의 기공은 서로 다른 크기의 평균입경을 갖는 powder를 사용함으로써 제거 될 수 있었다. 소성된 후막은 좋은 융착 특성을 나타내었다. Plasma display panel is a potential candidate for HDTV, due to the fact that the screen size can easily be increased by a thick film technology. In this study, transparent dielectric materials which satisfied the requirements of dielectrics for PDP was developed using lead alumina borosilicate glasses. The Paste which had thixotropic behavior suitable for screen printing was made of this glass composition. the paste became more thixotropic as the particle size decreased. After firing, the cross sectional area of the thick film was analyzed by SEM. The voids in the thick film were removed using bimodal particle system. The dielectric thick film showed good adhesion characteristics.
졸 - 겔법에 의한 TiO2 미분말 합성과 반응메카니즘 (Ⅰ) : Titanium isopropoxide 의 가수분해

Isopropanol 용매 내에서 titanium isopropoxide(Ti(O-^iPr)₄)의 가수분해반응에 의하여 TiO₂미분말을 합성하였고 가수분해 반응 속도를 자외선분광법에 의하여 측정하였다. 반응은 (Ti(O-^iPr)₄)의 농도에 비하여 물 농도를 크게 하여 유사일차반응으로 진행시켰고, 물 농도 및 온도의 변화에 따른 반응속도상수를 Guggenheim method로 계산하였다. 또한 물의 동위원소 효과를 측정하여 반응에 참여하는 물분자의 촉매성을 확인하였다. 입도분석과 미세구조 관찰 결과, 얻어진 TiO₂미분말은 0.3μm정도의 입자크기를 갖는 구형의 입자로 확인되었다. 또한 반응속도로부터 전이상태에 참여하는 n value와 열역학적 파라메타를 계산한 결과, (Ti(O-^iPr)₄)의 가수분해반응은 이분자 반응인 S_n2 mechanism으로 진행하는 것으로 추정 되었다.
