This paper presents the evaporation characteristics of slit fin-tube heat exchanger installed into air-conditioning machines, due to the use of the alternative refrigerant. The experiments were conducted in order to investigate the effects of the temperature glide and the length of two phase region for ternary non-azeotropic refrigerant mixture R407C, which is one of the potential candidates for pure refrigerant R22. Test were conducted in a closed loop wind tunnel. The evaporation temperature of the refrigerant at the test section inlet were maintained at 7℃. The data covers a range of refrigerant mass fluxes 150-250 ㎏/㎡s supplied with air flows at velocities in the range 0.6-1.6 ㎧.
