        Coconut based activated carbon and silica-gels were impregnated with 3-aminopropyltri ethoxysilan(APS) and N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyl triethoxysilane (AEAPS) in order to investigate the effect of the amine group and the pore size of the supports on the removal of hydrogen cyanide(HCN) and aldehydes in mainstream smoke(MS). The physicochemical properties of the supports were analyzed by using thermal gravity analyzer(TGA), $N_2$ adsorption and desorption isotherms$(BET,\;N_2)$, and SEM-EDS. According to our experimental data, there was no significant difference in the delivery amount of HCN and aldehydes of non-functionalized silica-gels having meso-pores bigger than $20\AA$. In the case of silica-gels functionalized with APS(APS silica-gel), the delivery amounts of hydrogen cyanide(HCN) and aldehydes decreased with the increase of APS concentration. Silica-gel functionalized with AEAPS(AEAPS silica-gel) showed higher removal efficiency than that of APS silica-gels. The delivery amounts of HCN and aldehydes of activated carbon impregnated with APS and AEAPS increased with the increase of the APS and AEAPS concentrations. In accordance with the specific surface area analysis results, APS and AEAPS molecules decreased the specific surface area by blocking the micro-pores of the activated carbon. The volatile organic components removal efficiency by the micro-pores was higher than that of the amine group impregnated into the activated carbon.

        연구용 선형가속기의 전자총 가열 전류에 따른 전자선의 에너지 인자 측정과 출력 측정 연구

        본 연구에서는 의료용 선형가속기 제작을 위해 개발된 연구용 선형가속기의 전자선에 대한 선량학적 특성을 실험적으로 평가하였다. 본 논문에서는 전자총 가열 전류에 따른 에너지의 변화와 출력 흡수선량 측정 결과를 보고하고자 한다. 전자선의 에너지는 필름 측정법을 써서 평균에너지와 최빈에너지의 관점에서 결정하였다. 출력 흡수선량은 최적 에너지에 대하여 평행평판형 전리함을 사용하여 물속 깊이선량율을 측정하고 TRS-398 프로토콜에 따라 결정하였다. 측정 결과 전자총 가열 전류 2.02~2.50 A에서 평균에너지와 최빈에너지는 5.94~2.80 MeV와 6.54~3.31 MeV로 변화하였다. 그리고 평균에너지 5.94 MeV의 전자선에 대해 물속 기준 깊이에서 출력 흡수선량은 5.41 Gy/min으로 나타났다. The dosimetric characteristics were experimentally evaluated for electron beams from the prototype linac developed for radiotherapy units. This paper focuses on the electron beam output and energy variations as a function of electron gun heater current. The electron energy was derived from its mean and most probable energies measured by film dosimetry. The electron beam output at the maximum electron energy was measured with the plane parallel ionization chamber in water using TRS-398 dosimetry protocol. The mean energy and the most probable energy of the electron beam were 6.54~3.31 MeV and 5.94~2.80 MeV at electron gun current of 2.02~2.50 A respectively. The output dose rate for an electron beam of mean energy 6.54 MeV was 5.41 Gy/min ${\pm}1.5%$ at the reference depth in water.

        세라믹의 비대칭 크리프 거동

        Asymmetric creep behaviors of ceramics under high temperature were investigated. Based on the Norton's power-low creep equation, multidirectional creep equations were proposed for general geometric loading conditions. The proposed equations were implemented into finite element program (ABAQUS) to simulate creep behaviors of ceramics in complicated loading conditions. The calculated results were compared with experimental data for uniaxial compression of Si-SiC C-ring and flexure of Si-SiC and $Al_2O_3$ in the literature. The finite element results agreed well with experimental data when the principal stresses are smaller than the threshold stress for creep damage. A good agreement was also obtained for damage zone in Si-SiC bending creep specimen compared with experimental data.

        여대생들의 월경주기에 따른 유산소운동 수행 시 철분영양 상태 판정지표에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to compared the changes of iron status criterion parameters according to aerobic exercise on menstrual cycle for female university students. The subjects consisted of Group(n=20) that blood measured before and after the exercise for menstrual phase and luteal phase. Group A(n=10) was exercise 3 times a week and Group B was no exercise group. Aerobic exercise was performed for 2-days(menstrual and luteal phase) and exercise intensity was 60% of HRmax. Exercise was performed during 40min. Iron was statistically changed on luteal phase in groups(p<.05) and no statistically changed on menstrual phase in groups(p<.05). After exercise menstrual phase was lower than luteal phase in Group B. Hemoglobin and hematocrit were group A higher than group B. After exercise, luteal phase higher than menstrual phase. Hemoglobin and hematocrit were statistically changed groups on menstrual phase. But no statistically changed on menstrual phase in groups(p<.05). TIBC was no statistically changed on menstrual phase and luteal phase in groups(p<.05). Therefore, regular aerobic exercise effects of iron status criterion parameters on menstrual cycle.

        만성적인 음주에 의해 발생한 이차성 포르피린병증

        The disturbance of porphyrin metabolism is principally differentiated into the porphyrias and secondary porphyrinopathies. Alcohol, drugs, heavy metal, and various diseases can cause secondary porphyrinopathy. Among them, alcohol is a major porphyrinogenic agent, and it may cause disturbances in the porphyrin metabolism, resulting in the biochemical and clinical manifestations of porphyria. We herein report on a case of secondary porphyrinopathy caused by long-term ingestion of alcohol in a 47-year-old man. He presented with painful, multiple bullae and erosion with erythematous patches on the dorsal side of both hands and arms, along with periorbital erythema and hyperpigmentation. The laboratory evaluation revealed a slight increase in urine uroproporphyrin without any abnormalities of the heme metabolites. Histopathological examination showed subepidermal bullae and vascular dilatation in the upper dermis. Periodic acid-Schiff stain revealed a mild degree of thickening of the vessel walls and the floor of the bullae. Based on these clinical, laboratory and histopathological findings, we diagnosed this case as secondary prophyrinopathy rather than porphyria. (Korean J Dermatol 2008; 46(11): 1534∼1537)

        Collagenomas are considered to be connective tissue nevi composed predominantly of collagen. They can be heredi-tary or sporadic. We report herein a rare case of isolated collagenoma on the left side of the face and the left thigh without associated abnormalities, in a 30-year-old man. Histopathologically, the lesion consisted of thick collagen fibers, which was compatible with collagenoma. (Korean J Dermatol 2008;46(2):252∼254)

        여대생들의 BMI에 의한 신체 유형별 12주간 복합 운동이 건강 체력에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to compare the changes of physical fitness after 12 weeks combined exercise according to the Body Type by their BMI of the female university students. The subjects was consisted of 2 Groups of female university students (Group A; under weighted 30, Group B; normal 30). Combined exercise training was performed during 12 weeks (60 minutes a day, 3 days a week). After classifying as the under weighted and the normal group according to the type by their BMI. The measured items were right and left grip strength, back strength, situp, push-up, forward bending, step-test and body composition in physical fitness. There were significant changes in weight and BMI result after the 12 weeks in groups. But body fat was no significant changes in groups. Right grip strength, back strength, sit-up, push-up, forward bending, step-test were no particular changes in groups. But left grip strength was changed significantly in groups. And physical fitness were increased significantly before training in groups. And group A was lower than group B in physical fitness. The under weight group need to have more training period than the normal group.

        한국인 소아기 및 성인기 아토피피부염 역학조사를 위한 진단적 설문지

        Background: Atopic dermatitis is reported to have recently increased, but it is difficult to systematically perform epidemiologic studies of atopic dermatitis. Objective: The purpose of the present study was to create a diagnostic questionnaire for epidemiologic studies of childhood and adult atopic dermatitis in Korea. Methods: We made up the items that were necessary for the diagnosis of atopic dermatitis in Korea on the basis of Hanifin and Rajka`s guidelines and the published Korean journals. We established the diagnostic questionnaire for the epidemiologic studies of childhood and adult atopic dermatitis in Korea. Results: A total of 19 questions were selected for the diagnostic questionnaire. Among them, 4 questions are related to the major diagnostic criteria for atopic dermatitis, and 15 questions are related to the minor diagnostic criteria for atopic dermatitis. Conclusion: We propose that this diagnostic questionnaire would be an efficient and convenient method to perform epidemiologic studies on childhood and adult atopic dermatitis in Korea.         연구중심대학 중국인 박사과정 유학생들의 학문사회화(academic socialization) 경험에 대한 이해: 인문사회 계열을 중심으로

        이 연구는 국내 연구중심대학 인문사회계열 박사과정에 재학 중인 중국인 유학생들이 학문사회화 과정에서 경험하는 주요 어려움과, 이를 해소하기 위해 활용하고 있는 학업 전략에 어떤 특성이 나타나는지 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 A대학에 재학 중인 10명의 중국인 박사과정 유학생들을 대상으로 반구조화 심층면담을 수행하였으며 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중국인 박사과정 유학생들은 지도교수 및 동료학생과의 약한 학술적, 정서적 상호작용으로 인해 전공 공동체에서 소속감을 느끼지 못하고 ‘겉도는’ 어려움을 경험하고 있었다. 또한 이들은 전공 중심부에서 이루어지고 있는 다양한 과업 및 역할(예: 연구 프로젝트)의 참여 기회에서 배제된 채, 높은 불확실성 속에서 ‘혼자’ ‘느리게’ 학업을 수행해 나가는 특징이 발견되었다. 이러한 어려움을 해소하기 위한 ‘각자도생’의 학업전략으로는 첫째, ‘혼자’ 공부하기 위해 필요한 다양한 자원의 탐색, 둘째, 외국인 유학생 네트워크 활용을 통한 소속감 확보, 셋째, 중국 학문공동체 및 해외 연구자와의 교류를 통한 외부사회화가 도출되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 이 연구에서는 외국인 박사과정 유학생들의 효과적인 학문사회화가 촉진되어야 할 필요성과 관련 개선방안들에 대한 시사점을 제공하고 있다. The current study aims to explore the major challenges Non-STEM Chinese doctoral students encounter during their academic socialization process at a research-focused university in Korea. Semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 Chinese Ph.D. students who are enrolled in ‘A’ University, and the main findings are as follows. First, Chinese doctoral students were "marginalized’ in their academic community due to weak academic and emotional interactions with their advisor(hierarchical relationship and neglected supervision style) and peer students(unequal power relationship between local vs international students). Also, they were excluded from the participation opportunities in various tasks and roles (e.g., research projects) which intensifies their marginalized status in the academic community. Major strategies to resolve these difficulties were first to utilize various internal and external resources needed to conduct research "independently", second to utilize the network of other foreign student peer group to strengthen both emotional and academic support, and third to utilize their network with the Chinese academic community from the past educational experience as well as with overseas researchers through participating in international academic conferences. Based on these findings, the study provides implications for the need for effective academic socialization of international Ph.D. students and related improvements in the rapidly internationalizing Korean doctoral education system.
