The renewable energy is necessary because of environmental matter that it is like greenhouse effect. Therefore, the clean energy cause renewable energy is developed. In renewable energy, the small hydropower generate a few CO₂ and it is an energy where the energy density is high. In my country, the turbine-generator development which is a focus of hydroelectric power system is insufficient and the development against it is necessary. Also the localization and standardization of the turbine are important. The standardization is easy because of structure of cross-flow turbine is simple. It is able to use in a lot of flow fluctuation. Becomes the strong point in application of cross-flow turbine. In the study, it compares a performance test to 80㎾ CFD calculation result of cross-flow turbine and it investigated an inside flow and an efficiency with CFD analysis.

10 billion ton ballast water is moved, and is irradiated that creature more than 7000 kind moves along ballast's water worldwide every year. These most die in new environment, but survived creatures disturb ecosystem that is flowed in newly strong viability and ability to breed or are destroyed. Because IMO completes international agreement for ballast water of ship and control of deposit and administration, IMO is getting now confirmation of every country. Advantage of hydrocyclone is simple rescue and excellent separation performance. In this study, shape wishes to forecast result by change using CFD to save most suitable shape that is correct in the capacity for filtration of ballast water.

A lot of countries are trying for small hydro power utilization that is clean source of energy as environmental problem is weighed and necessity of renewable energy utilization becomes serious. Try in technical development continuously in domestic and develops some hydro turbine and improved a technology but in the case of water-turbine generator development, our country that is point of decimal power development system, season, because different flux change is big, need development of suitable hydro turbine there. Localization and standardization of hydro turbine become important problem. So, easy of standardization by simple structure and flux fluctuation of cross-flow hydro turbine is point that application is possible in large place act by big advantage in application of sale through illegal channels hydro turbine. The purpose of this study is the variation of runner angles to improve the performance. Optimization of the turbine structure has been made by the analysis of the turbine performance with the variation of the runner angle using a commercial CFD code. The results show that inlet and outlet runner angles give considerable effect on the performance of the turbine.

The renewable energy is necessary to develop as a countermeasure of greenhouse effect. Among the renewable energy resources, small hydropower generates few CO₂ and energy density of the small hydropower is relatively higher than that of the other renewable energy resources. Recently, development of hydroelectric power system in our country is mainly focused on the improvement of performance of the turbine-generator and also, standardization of the turbine is very important. Because of the structural feature of cross-flow turbine, standardization of the turbine is easy. The purpose of this study is to examine the optimum configuration of main variables to further optimize the cross-flow hydraulic turbine structure and to improve the performance. The turbine has been proved that the output power varies by the turbine design factors such as nozzle shape, runner blade angle and the number of the runner blade.

Many countries are interested in CO₂ -It is greenhouse gas which causes global warming. -output reduction. Therefore, Many Researchers are interested in renewable energy development. Small hydro power is clean and renewable energy that does not discharge CO₂. Relatively high manufacturing cost by the complex structure of the turbine is the highest barrier for developing the small hydropower turbine. Therefore, a cross-flow turbine is adopted because of its simple structure and high possibility of applying to small hydropower. In this study, made experiment result in research that utilize Zhao relationship hydro turbine model about cross-flow turbine comparison target. The purpose of this study is the variation of the number of runner blade to improve the performance. Optimization of the turbine structure has been made by the analysis of the turbine performance with the variation of the number of runner blade using a commercial CFD code. The results show that the number of runner blade give considerable effect on the performance of the turbine.

Recently, small hydropower attracts attention because of its clean, renewable and abundant energy resources to develop. However, suitable turbine type is not determined yet in the range of small hydropower and it is necessary to study for the effective turbine type. Moreover, relatively high manufacturing cost by the complex structure of the turbine is the highest barrier for developing the small hydropower turbine. Therefore, a cross-flow turbine is adopted because of its simple structure and high possibility of applying to small hydropower. The purpose of this study is to examine the optimum configuration of nozzle shape to further optimize the cross-flow hydraulic turbine structure and to improve the performance. The results show that pressure on the runner blade in Stage 1 and velocity at nozzle outlet have close relation to the turbine performance.
