This paper proposes a trigger type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL), which consists of a switch, two superconductingmodules, and two series connected current limiting resistances (CLRs), using twice triggering operations. Thesuggested trigger type SFCL has twice the triggering operations according to the amplitude of the fault current. However,these operations are thought to aff ect the operation of the protective relay in a power distribution system. According to thefault conditions that aff ect the operation of the protective relay in a power distribution system, the fault location was selected. With two representative fault locations, the fault current limiting and the bus-voltage sag suppressing characteristics in apower distribution system with the suggested SFCL were analyzed. For comparative studies, the operation of the protectiverelay due to the conventional trigger type SFCL using one CLR was additionally described.
Operational Characteristics of Superconducting Amplifier using Vortex Flux Flow

The operational characteristics of superconducting amplifier using vortex flux flow were analyzed from an equivalent circuit in which its current-voltage characteristics for the vortex motion in YBCO microbridge were reflected. For the analysis of operation as an amplifier, dc bias operational point for the superconducting amplifier is determined and then ac operational characteristics for the designed superconducting amplifier were investigated. The variation of transresistance, which describes the operational characteristics of superconducting amplifier, was estimated with respect to conditions of dc bias. The current and the voltage gains, which can be derived from the circuit for small signal analysis, were calculated at each operational point and compared with the results obtained from the numerical analysis for the small signal circuit. From our paper, the characteristics of amplification for superconducting flux flow transistor (SFFT) could be confirmed. The development of the superconducting amplifier applicable to various devices is expected.

The magnetic field application effect on resistance of a high-TC superconducting (HTSC) element comprising a flux-lock type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) was investigated. The YBCO thin film, which was etched into a meander line using a lithography, was used as a current limiting element of the flux-lock type SFCL. To increase the magnetic field applied into HTSC element, the capacitor was connected in series with a solenoid-type magnetic field coil installed in the third winding of the flux-lock type SFCL. There was no magnetic field application effect on the resistance of HTSC element despite the application of larger magnetic field into the HTSC element when a fault happened. The resistance of HTSC element, on the contrary, started to decrease at the point of four periods from a fault instant although the amplitude of the applied magnetic field increased.

Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) is one of the major disease for neuro-rehabilitation, as well asone of the important impairment. HIE typically shows global deterioration of brain function with relativepreservation of brain stem reflexes, and topographic pattern of damage; the CA1 hippocampal cells,cerebellar Purkinje cells, neocortical neurons in layers 3, 5, 6 and basal ganglia. The characteristics ofpatho-mechanism including persistent vegetative state, seizure, autonomic dysfunction and secondaryParkinsonism are causative factors of several complications. Management of these complications sometimescurative, but more often re-adaptive and palliative. Understanding and proper rehabilitation of complicationswill be one of the most important therapeutic strategies for patients with HIE.

The play between the preadjusted brackets and undersized archwires accommodate the anatomic variations of teeth, with some loss of torque control. Full size archwires should be used with customized brackets to fully control the torque. However, this does not guarantee the treatment result similar to the ideal model setup that was used to fabricate customized brackets. Nevertheless, customized brackets have their value in that it may reduce the round-trip tooth movements by reducing bracket repositioning or wire bending. Customized brackets will prevail in the future along with the progress of 3D printing technology.

This paper examines the perspectives of the understanding relationship between society and architecture, based on the works and the references of Aldo Rossi and Rem Koolhaas. In particular, examines the problems of the images raised by them through the metaphor of the theater, and the similarities and differences in their views. The metaphor of the theater appeared in many aspects of Western culture and has been simulated the relationship between the stage, the performances and the audience in various ways. In addition, such a relationship can be a way of looking at the relationship between the building and the user and the image intervening. This paper traces their work through the metaphor of the theater and discusses that this could be another perspective of architecture and city.
