국내 논토양 및 밭토양 중 농약유래 잔류성유기오염물질의 노출량 평가

BACKGROUND:This study was conducted to investigate residual organochlorine pesticides (ROCPs) in agricultural soils and crops. Agricultural soil samples and crop samples were collected from 93 cities and counties. METHODS AND RESULTS: Extraction and clean-up for the quantitative analysis of ROCPs were conducted by the modified quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe (QuEChERS) method. Recovery and limit of detection (LOD) of ROCPs in agriculturalsoils and crops were 76.5-103.0 and 75.2-93.2%, 0.01-0.08 and $0.10-0.15{\mu}g/kg$, respectively. Detected ROCPs in agricultural soils were ${\alpha}$-endosulfan, ${\beta}$-endosulfan, and endosulfan sulfate, the residue were 2.0-12.0, 1.2-53.1, and $2.2-329.8{\mu}g/kg$, respectively. But these pesticides in all green perilla leaf and green pepper samples were not detected. CONCLUSION: These results showed that ROCPs residues in agricultural soils were not as high as crop safety threatening.
일본 지자체 민관파트너십(PPP)사업의 추진유형과 시사점 - 일본 요코하마시를 사례로 -

현재 우리사회는 소득수준, 복지, 여가 등에 대한 기대수준이 향상되고 지방화, 분권화가 급속히 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 사회간접자본 시설에 대한 국민적 수요가 증가하는 데 반해 정부재정은 이러한 요구를 수용하기 어려운 상황에 처해있다. 이에대해 일본의 요코하마시는 민관파트너십을 통해 민간부문의자본, 지식, 노하우를 활용하여 민관협력사업의 효율과 효과를 증대시키며 사회기반시설을 확충·개수·운영·관리를 한다. 본 연구는 일본 요코하마시의 민관파트너쉽 사례를 소개하고 우리나라의 민관협력제도에 적용하는 데 도움을 주고자 한다. 이를 위해 일본의 PPP의 유형과 내용, 시설 소유, 자금조달, 수입측면, 행정개입정도, 도입사례를 살펴보았다. 일본의 민관파트너쉽은 지방정부에서의 적용성이 높고, 지역특성을 최대한 활용한 복합개발 및 수법의 다양성이 있으며, 사업의 명확한 역할정립으로 단기성과보다는 지속가능성을 고려하였다. 일본의 사례를 통해 PPP는 단순히 민간의 자본을 유치하여 사회기반시설을 조성하는 것에 그치지 않고 민간의 창의와 효율을 유입시키는 의의도 지닌다... In our current society, the level of expectation about income level, welfare, leisure, etc. has been elevated. In addition, localization and decentralization are other obvious features in this society. However, while public demands for ``SOC facilities`` are increasing, government finances cannot afford to accommodate these demands. To solve this problem, Yokohama city, Japan, uses public private partnerships(PPP). Private sector capital, knowledge, and know-how can help to increase efficiency and effectiveness of PPP projects, and through these partnerships Yokohama city has been able to expand and administer its infrastructure. This study introduces the case of a PPP in Yokohama city, Japan and also uses its implications to help S. Korea to apply Yokohama``s example to their PPP policy. In order to achieve this, our study investigates Yokohama``s PPP; the types and contents, facilities, funding, income, degree of administrative interventions, and cases of inducements. Some features of Yokohama``s PPP are as follows. It is easy to apply to local government. It makes the utmost use of regional characteristics which leads to mixed-use development and diversity of business. It allots each part a clear role in businesses for sustainability rather than short-term achievement. BACKGROUND: Residual organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) are chemical substances that persist in the environment, bioaccumulate through the food web, and pose a risk of causing adverse effect to human health and the environment. They were designated as persistent organic pollutants (POPs) by Stockholm Convention. Greenhouse strawberry is economic crop in agriculture, and its cultivation area and yield has been increased. Therefore, we tried to investigate the POPs residue in greenhouse soil and strawberry. METHODS AND RESULTS: Extraction and clean-up method for the quantitative analysis of OCPs was developed and validated by gas chromatography (GC) with electron capture detector (ECD). The clean-up method was established using the modified quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe(QuEChERS) method for OCPs in soil and strawberry. Limit of quantitation (LOQ) and recovery rates of OCPs in greenhouse soil and strawberry were 0.9-6.0 and 0.6-0.9 μg/kg, 74.4-115.6 and 75.6-88.4%, respectively. The precision was reliable sincerelative standard deviation (RSD) percentage (0.5-3.7 and 2.9-5.2%) was below 20, which was the normal percent value. The residue of OCPs in greenhouse soil was analyzed by the developed method, and dieldrin, β-endosulfan and endosulfan sulfate were detected at 1.6-23, 2.2-28.4 and 1.8-118.6 μg/kg, respectively. Those in strawberry were not detected in all samples. CONCLUSION: Dieldrin, β-endosulfan and endosulfan sulfate in a part of investigated greenhouse soil were detected. But those were not detected in investigated greenhouse strawberry. These results showed that the residue in greenhouse soil were lower level than bioaccumulation occurring.
UPLC를 활용한 데리스 추출물 함유 유기농자재 중 Rotenone과 Deguelin 정량분석

BACKGROUND: Three commercial biopesticides containing derris extract, which is permitted as a commercial biopesticide substances by the Environmentally-friendly Agriculture Promotion Act, have been marketed in Korea. But, the quantitative analytical method of active substances for crop protection in biopesticides containing derris extract has not known. METHODS AND RESULTS: Solid phase extraction (SPE) cartridge clean-up method for the quantitative analysis of rotenone and deguelin in biopesticides containing derris extract was developed and validated by ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC). The clean-up method was established using hydrophilic lipophilic balance (HLB) SPE cartridges for the bioactive substances in biopesticides containing derris extract, and the eluate was analyzed to quantify the rotenone and deguelin by the UPLC. LOQ and recovery rates of rotenone and deguelin were 0.085 and 0.044 mg/L, 95.7 and 93.3%, respectively. The content of rotenone and deguelin in three biopesticides containing derris extract were analyzed by the developed method, the results showed 0.001-0.236 and <LOQ-0.258%, respectively. CONCLUSION: The developed method could be applicable to determine the active substances and to control the quality of commercial biopesticide containing derris extract.

Thyroid tuberculosis with papillary thyroid carcinoma is very rare. The current study shows the case of a 67-year-old female who was admitted to Ansan Hospital of Korea University, with her thyroid nodules showing signs of malignancy under ultrasonography. A histopathological examination proved the coexistence of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) and thyroid tuberculosis (TB). A total thyroidectomy and excision of the enlarged left neck level II lymph node were performed. This report presents a rare case of coexistence of PTC and thyroid TB. Further investigation is needed to evaluate the possible role of PTC in thyroid mycobacterial infection.

Numerical investigations have been carried out to analyze flow field characteristics around manganese nodule mining device in deep sea. Flow field is largely affected by moving mining device. With the operation of the mining device complicated flow variation remarkably generated from the rear of mining device depends on moving speed of the mining device. Turbulent kinetic energy behind the mining device gradually increases with the velocity of mining device. The nodule particles behavior is also predicted.
