Although midgut volvulus is clinically characterized by bilous vomiting and abdominal distention, plain abdominal X-ray is usually non-specific and therefore it can be misdiagnosed to other diseases. Upper gastrointestinal contrast study and computed tomography have been used as a routine diagnostic tool but it takes cost and time. Abdominal ultrasonography is a relatively good alternatives in diagnosing midgut volvulus and it relatively saves cost and time. But case presentation of midgut volvulus diagnosed with abdominal ultrasonography are rarely found in literature. We experienced a 6 month old girl who had come to our hospital with bilous vomiting and was diagnosed as midgut volvulus with ultrasonography. Thus we report this case with the presentation of typical ultrasonographic findings of midgut volvulus.

Treatment of schizophrenia is one of the most challenging areas in the field of psychiatry. There has been much improvement in psycho-pharmacotherapy, and at present, psycho-pharmacotherapy along with milieu therapy and social rehabilitation is the standard first-line treatment for schizophrenia. Healing environment, a concept which has arisen from the architectural field, has similarities in meaning to milieu therapy in psychiatry. In other words, healing environment may be an encountering point between psychiatry and architecture. In this encountering, each field can understand each other and expand its concept to aid the treatment of schizophrenia and to plan the build-up of the entire environment considering its social and psychological effects. In this paper, we aim to establish the basic concept of healing environment to alleviate the psychopathologies in schizophrenic patients. We worked under the premise that physical setting affects human behavior and mind, and that physical setting should play a role as a medium with therapeutic potential for patients with medical problems. The aims of this paper are as follows. First, theoretical discussion of the concept and the constructs of healing environment : second, understanding of the schizophrenic symptoms that may be affected by supporting environment : and third, discussion of supporting environment that may alleviate the symptoms of schizophrenia.

도시적 맥락에서 본 전통한옥의 공간구성 변화에 관한 연구

This study is to describe the changes of spatial structure of Korean traditional housing in urban context with the following preconditions. Firstly, Chosun Hanyang's urban housing should be classified as it's own type. Secondly, Chosun's traditional housing accomplishes a complete urban housing type in Japanese colonial period through the stream of time. And the purpose of this study is as followings. First is to find out the process of changes of urban housing in urban context from the latter period of Chosun Dynasty to 1960's. Second is to find out the origin of spatial structure of urban house which is being kept throughout the above changes. Third is to find out the unique characteristics of urban house and the fundamental differences with folk houses in province.

정신건강증진을 위한 치유환경 개념 및 이론 탐색연구

본 연구는 변화된 건강패러다임 속에서 치유환경에 대한 새로운 접근 방법을 모색하고, 특히 정신건강증진이라는 키워드 속에서 좀 더 확장된 치유환경의 특성을 개념화하고자 시작된 탐색연구로서 연구의 목적은 크게 두 가지로 나뉜다. 첫째는, 변화된 패러다임 속에서 건강과 정신건강 그리고 치유환경의 개념적 정의를 내리는 것이며 둘째는, 정신건강증진을 위한 물리적 환경의 치유적 특성을 도출하고 지표화하는 것이다. 이러한 목적 안에서 정신건강증진을 위한 치유환경의 개념을 지원할 수 있는 이론적 탐색을 시행하였는데, 건축학과 심리학 그리고 정신의학은 물론 인간과 환경간의 관계를 다루고 있는 건축철학 및 환경심리학 등 그 범위를 확대하여 관련 이론을 고찰, 융합적 시각으로서의 새로운 개념정립을 시도하였다. 본 연구에서 선행연구 및 이론적 탐색연구를 진행한 결과 범주화한 치유환경의 특성은, 1) 신체적 보호감 증진 2) 심리적 안정감 증진 3) 사회적 교류감 증진 4) 개인적 자존감 증진 등이다. 정신건강증진의 치유환경에 대한 개념적 확립은 실제적인 치유환경의 구현에 있어서 매우 중요한 작업이며, 이를 토대로 보다 구체적인 설계지표 및 가이드라인 개발 및 응용 연구가 진행될 수 있을 것이다. This exploratory research examines a new approach to the healing environment in the changed health paradigm, and seeks to conceptualize the extended characteristics of the healing environment in the context of mental health promotion. This study aims to, first, define the concepts of health, mental health, and the healing environment in the changed paradigm, and second, develop the healing characteristics of the physical environment for mental health promotion and create indicators. For these purposes, this study performed a theoretical exploration that could support the concept of the healing environment for mental health promotion by expanding its scope into not only architecture, psychology, and psychiatry but also philosophy of architecture and environment psychology, which concerns the relationship between humans and the environment. This study considers related theories and attempts to establish a new concept from a convergent perspective. The characteristics of the healing environment categorized as a result of exploratory research on previous studies and theories include (a) physical protection promotion, (b) psychological comfort promotion, (c) social exchange promotion, and (d) personal self-esteem promotion. Establishing the concept of the healing environment for mental health promotion is important to implement the actual healing environment. Based on the concept, more specific design indicators and guidelines could be developed to conduct applied research.

분리 배치 형태와 단일 도크에 복수 발송지점이 할당된 크로스도킹터미널의 도크 위치 결정을 위한 유전 알고리즘 접근법

크로스도킹은 입고된 화물을 보관하지 않고 즉각 분류하여 출고시키는 공정이다. 우체국에서 신속한 배달을 위해 시작된 크로스도킹은 택배터미널 화물 취급의 가장 중요한 요소가 되었고, 또한 많은 전통적인 물류센터들이 효율적 재고 관리와 고객 수요에 대한 즉각적 대응을 위해 크로스도킹물류센터로 전환하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 크로스도킹 터미널 작업의 생산성을 높이기 위하여 자동분류기를 도입하여 화물의 집하 및 분류 작업에 대한 생산성은 대폭 증가되었으나 상차 작업은 수작업으로 이루어져야 하기 때문에 여전히 애로공정으로 남아 있다. 본 연구에서는 가용 부지의 제약으로 인한 분리 배치와 단일 도크에 복수 발송지점이 할당되는 형태의 크로스도킹터미널에서 상차 작업에 필요한 작업자 수 최소화와 상차 작업자 간의 작업 부하 량을 균형화 시키기 위하여 라인밸런싱 휴리스틱이 내재된 유전 알고리즘 기반 탐색적 알고리즘을 개발하고 국내 택배 업체를 대상으로 수집된 자료를 근간으로 형성된 예제 문제를 통해 해법의 가용성과 성능을 평가한다. Cross-docking is defined as a practice of unloading freights from an incoming truck and loading them directly in with little or no storage in between. Originated from the mail processing system in the post office, cross-docking recently occupies the mainstream in the luggage terminal operation of courier services and many distribution centers are converting to the cross-docking centers which may provide lower inventory and rapid responsiveness. Although the performance of cross-docking terminals has been improved by utilizing automatic sorting conveyor, loading into the outgoing truck still remains a bottleneck process. This study presents an approach to assigning destinations to shipping docks for a cross-docking terminal with separated layout configurations and multiple destinations assigned to a single dock in order to reduce the expected number of workers needed in loading the freights to the truck the imbalance ratio among the workers. For this purpose a heuristic algorithm based on genetic algorithm is developed to solve it with a line balancing heuristic. To examine the validity and performance of our solution heuristic we apply it to an example problem from a domestic courier company in Korea.

문자기반 매체에서 느끼는 사회적 현존감

스마트폰의 급속한 보급과 함께 카카오톡, 페이스북, 문자메시지와 같은 문자기반 매체의 활용도가 증가하여 대인간의 주요 의사소통 매체로서 자리 잡고 있다. 본 연구에서는 문자기반 매체들에서 사회적 현존감이 서로 다르게 인지되고 있다는 점에 착안하여 각 매체별로 인지되는 사회적 현존감을 비교 분석하기 위해 설문을 구성하여 데이터를 수집하였다. 분석 결과 사용자는 자신이 가장 많이 사용하는 매체가 사회적 현존감이 높다고 인식하고 있었으며, 매체별로는 카카오톡, 페이스북, 문자메시지 순으로 사회적 현존감이 높게 인식되고 있었고, 각 매체별 사회적 현존감에는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 사용자가 사회성이 높고, 20대 이하이며, 학생일수록 다른 그룹들보다 사회적 현존감을 상대적으로 높게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 사회적 현존감이 실제 사용에 있어 영향을 미치고 있음을 찾아낸 본 연구에 후속으로는 어떠한 매체적 특성이 사회적 현존감의 차이를 불러일으키는지 연구가 필요할 것으로 보인다. Since the advent of smart phone, a variety of text-based media are developed and used as popular communication tools even in mobile phone environment. This study explores differences in terms of users’ perceived social presence level across different text-based media, specifically KakaoTalk, Facebook, SMS. A survey was conducted using items adopted from previous studies on social presence. 203 data points were collected and used for analysis. Across the whole sample, KakaoTalk is perceived as the highest in terms of perceived social presence level, followed by Facebook and SMS. Also, the users with higher level of sociality tends to reveal higher level of perceived social presence across all the media while younger and/or student users tend to maintain higher level of social presence perception across all the media. Further studies seem necessary investigating features of specific medium that may increase or decrease the perceived level of social presence.
