We investigated antitumor activities of the ethanol extract from mushroom Phellinus linteus and Phellinus baumii on mulberry, oak and elm. In vitro test, the ethanol extract of mushroom cultivated on oak of Phellinus linteus showed highest activities about SK-OV-3, HCT15, XF498, SKMEL-2 and A549. SK-OV-3 cell line showed 100% cytotoxicity in 100 mg/ml and HCT15 (98.39%), XF498 (89.62%), SK-MEL-2 (84.07%) and A549 (79.92%) cytotoxicity respectively. Also IC50 showed 3.99 ㎍/ml to SK-OV-3 cell line and HCT15 (4.37 ㎍/ml), A549 (5.48 ㎍/ml), SK-MEL-2 (6.72 ㎍/ml), XF 498 (6.88 ㎍/ml). As those results, cultivated oak of Phellinus linteus showed a very low IC50 value against SK-OV-3, HCT15, XF498, SK-MEL-2 and A549 cancer cell lines.

The existing solar tracking sensor for 2 axial control system to trace latitude and longitude is made of four phototransistor.The phototransistor-making is difficult and it" smanufacturing is more high-priced than a wide use phototransistor because they have to the same characteristics of each phototransistor output signal. This paper described the algorithm for supplement these weakness. The algorithm applied to signal normalizing method and vector decomposition law. The deviations of each a wide use phototransistor output signal are resolved by signal normalizing method and itis able to make a solartracking sensor using three phototransistor by vector decomposition law. Therefore, in this paper,it is reduced the number of phototransistor that is composed of solar tracking sensor and possible to use a wide use phototransistor by the proposed algorithm.

삼국시대부터 축조되어 전해지는 봉수대는 조선시대에 이르러 크게 발전되어 국방 및 통신 분야에서 중요한 역할을 해왔다. 이러한 봉수대의 선정에 있어서 지형, 지세, 기후 및 산림 등의 자연조건은 중요한 기준이 되었다. 본 연구에서는 부산지역에 위치하는 봉수대 중 연변 봉수대에 대하여 봉수대의 입지를 선정하는 요소들 중 지형과 기후요소를 중심으로 하여 기후요소 중에서 봉수대가 위치하는 연구지역의 운량 및 시정거리의 지수의 연간의 평균결과 값을 산출하여 보았고 봉수대 지형요소에 대한 분석으로 경사(slope), 향(aspect)등을 파악해보고 각 봉수대간의 거리 및 가시권(Visible range)를 파악하여 봉수대의 입지에 대한 특징을 수치적으로 정리해 보고 이들 요소들을 대상으로 통계분석을 실시하여 각 요소들 사이의 상관관계 결과를 바탕으로 미지(未知)의 봉수대의 파악에 있어서의 효율성을 가지는지에 대하여 알아보았다.
백하수오(白何首烏)의 항산화활성(抗酸化活性)과 amino acid의 분포(分布)에 관한 실험적(實驗的) 연구(硏究)

The aim of the presents study is to investigate and compare the antioxidative effects and qualities of the cultivating root of Cynanchum Wilfori, which is increasingly used in recent days, with those of the wilding root, which has mainly been used in the past in oriental medicine for a tonic and also for prevention and treatment of various geriatric diseases including aging progress. For comparison of their antioxidative effects, the activities of the total extracts on lipid peroxidation and the activity of aldehyde oxidase(EC 1.2.3.1) as well as xanthine oxidase(EC 1.2.3.2) were investigated in vitro. In addition, their inhibitory effects on the activity of 5-lipoxygenase, which is known to induce inflammation and concerned with free radicals, were also determined in vitro. Furthermore, the amino acid contents of both roots were analyzed in order to compare their qualities. The results are as follows: 1. The wilding root inhibited significantly the activity of 5-lipoxygenase, showing five times more portent than the cultivating root. 2. Both of the wilding root and the cultivating root inhibited aldehyde oxidase activity in a dose-dependant manner. The wilding root was more effective than the other. 3. Both of the wilding root and the cultivating root dose-dependently suppressed lipid peroxidation in rat brain, kidney, and liver. 4. The anti-peroxidative effects of both roots appeared to be most strong in brain and least in liver. In particular, the cultivating root exhibited a significant inhibition on brain lipid peroxidation. 5. The cultivating root contained 15 amino acids including five essential amino acids in contrast with the less contents in the wilding root.

Mineral oil is the most widely used to insulation material of transformer because of the long experience and low cost. Although mineral oil has many advantages, it posses fire hazard when it use in the buildings. Thirty years ago, fire resistant hydrocarbon fluids and mold transformer were developed such as PCBs, Silicone oil, HMWH and Cast resin transformer. Cast resin transformer is widely used in the almost buildings in Korea. Recently, the application of ester fluids have been reported. This paper compares to advantages and disadvantages of the cast resin and ester fluid transformers.
올리고-dT 자성입자와 측면방향 자기영동을 이용한 초고속 RNA 추출 기술

본 논문에서는 올리고-dT 자성입자와 측면방향 자기영동 기술을 기반으로 하는 초고속 RNA 추출칩을 소개한다. 센자성 와이어에 유도된 고구배자장에 의해 RNA가 결합된 올리고-dT 자성입자를 분리함으로써 용해된 혈액으로부터 고속으로 RNA를 추출하였다. 유속이 20 ㎖/h까지 자성입자를 80% 이상의 효율로 분리할 수 있었으며, 분리시간은 총 1분 이내였다. 추출된 시료로부터 단백질에 대한 RNA 흡광비율(absorbance ratio of RNA to protein: A260/A280)이 1.7 이상임을 확인하였고, 따라서 추출된 RNA가 매우 순수함을 보였다. 추출된 RNA를 사용하여 cDNA 합성과 PCR을 수행하였으며, 이로부터 개발된 초고속 RNA 추출칩이 적은 양의 시료만으로 간편하며 빠르고 정교한 RT-PCR을 수행하는데 실용적임을 확인하였다. This paper presents a high-speed RNA microextractor for the direct isolation of RNA from blood lysate using magnetic oligo(dT) beads. The extraction is performed through lateral magnetophoresis, which is induced by a ferromagnetic wire array inlaid. With this RNA microextractor, more than 80% of the magnetic beads could be separated at a flow rate up to 20 ㎖/h, and the overall extraction procedure was completed within 1 min. The absorbance ratio of RNA to protein(A260/A280) was greater than 1.7, indicating that the extraction technique yields pure RNA. The feasibility of using this technique in reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction procedures was investigated by cDNA synthesis and PCR processes. The results confirmed that the RNA microextractor is a practical device for easy, fast, and high-precision RT-PCR using minimal amounts of reagent.
