고지방식이로 유도된 C57BL/6 Mice에서 10가지 천연 소재를 섞은 소스의 비만 억제 효과

본 연구는 천연 항비만 소재를 찾기 위해 4주령 웅성 C57BL/6 mice를 이용하여 정향, 계피, 녹차, 오미자, 울금, 하수오, 상백피, 조릿대, 더덕, 야관문 10가지 천연 소재 복합물의 항비만 효과를 확인하였다. 고지방식이와 함께 10가지 한약재를 동일한 비율로 증류수에 혼합한 ‘SME’와 소스 베이스에 혼합한 ‘SMS’를 6주간 공급하였다. SME 및 SMS 투여를 통해 몸무게가 유의적으로 감소하는 효과가 나타났으며, 혈액 내 활성산소의 유의적인 감소가 나타났다. 간 조직 및 분변 내 TG, TC 수치 감소가 나타났으며, 또한 혈액 내 TG, TC, HDL-C 및 LDL-C 수치를 감소시켰다. 천연 소재 복합물은 AMPK의 활성화를 통해 p-AMPK 발현을 증가시킴으로써 SREBP-1c의 생성을 감소시키고 ACC의 인산화를 촉진했으며, SREBP-1c의 표적인자인 FAS 및 SCD-1의 발현 또한 유의적으로 감소시켰다. 실험 결과 SME 및 SMS의 항비만 효과를 확인하였으며, 소스 베이스에 천연 복합물 소재를 혼합한 SMS는 항비만 천연 소재 식품 개발에 있어서 활용 가능성이 높을 것으로 기대된다. This study investigated the anti-obesity effects of natural material complexes. Male C57BL/6 mice were divided into four groups: a normal diet group (Nor), a high fat diet group (Con), 10 kinds of herbal medicines mixed with distilled water (SME), and mixed with sauce base (SMS). After 6 weeks, the body weight of the Con group increased and that of the SME group and the SMS group decreased. In addition, serum reactive oxygen species production was significantly decreased, and decreased alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase were observed. Triglyceride and total cholesterol levels in serum and liver tissue were decreased, and the size of adipocytes was decreased in liver tissue of the treated group. Additionally, expression of proteins such as sterol regulatory element-binding transcription factor 1c, fatty acid synthase, and stearoyl-CoA desaturase-1 was down-regulated in the administration group. Overall, the results suggested that the mixture of 10 herbal medicines has anti-obesity effects.

The renewal of existing buildings rather than new construction has increased due to it's cost effective characteristics. Remodeling is also an environmentally-friendly approach that reduces the amount of waste in construction site. Remodeling can sometimes include partial destruction of the structural members of a building. In addition it is important that the buildings under going remodeling retrofitted to make themselves stable and meet up with the future demands for better structural performance. There are many types of remodeling, however, Engineers and architectures preferred to make two or more separated spaces to one wide space. Performing this type of remodeling, in the case of wall dominant apartments, partial damage of structural wall is going to be an essential problem. However, there are insufficient studies about partial damage, that is, openings. Present ACI standard have no clear way to evaluating the opening effect of the structural wall. AIJ have the provision about strength reduction factor 'r'. However, this reduction factor cannot exactly evaluate the reduction effect of openings because this factor 'r' was determined through the elastic analysis. Therefore, in this study, 2 structural wall specimens were tested and many specimens of previous studies were collected. Using these data, we performed statistical study about strength of structural wall which have the opening in wall panel. And we performed parametric study to verifying shear strength reducing effect by opening area.
형질전환된 식물세포에서 Sucrose 농도가 hGM-CSF 생산에 및 미치는 영향

본 연구에서는 hGM-CSF 유전자가 도입된 형질전환 담배세포에서 sucrose의 농도가 배양 배지내 분비된 hGM-CSF, 총분비 단백질, 그리고 단백질 분해효소에 미치는 효과를 보았다. 10, 30, 60, 90, 120, 150 g/L의 sucrose 농도로 배양한 결과 sucrose농도가 30g/L일 때 건조중량은 11.22g/L, 분비된 hGM-CSF의 양은 181.53 $\mu\textrm{g}$/L, 그리고 총단백질은 66.8 mg/L.로 시료채취 5일 때 가장 높은 값을 나타내었고, 단백질 분해효소는 sucrose농도가 120 g/L일때 2660 U/L.의 값을 나타내었다. 그러나 배양 10일째 sucrose농도 60 g/L에서 건조중량이 28.36g/L로 가장 높은 값을 나타낸 반면 분비된 hGM-CSF의 최대 값은 95 $\mu\textrm{g}$/L.로 sucrose농도가 150 g/L일 때 가장 높은 값을 나타내었다. The effects of sucrose concentration on the secretion of hGM-CSF, total protein and protease into the medium were investigated in transgenic tobacco cells. The dry cell weight (11.22 g/L), hGM-CSF (181.53 $\mu\textrm{g}$/L) and total protein (66.8 mg/L) were detected as highest at 30 g/L sucrose and protease activity (2660 U/L) was highest at 120 g/L sucrose after 5-day culture. However after 10-day culture, the maximum dry cell weight (28.36 g/L) was found at 60 g/L sucrose while the maximum hGM-CSF (95 $\mu\textrm{g}$/L) was appeared at 150 g/L sucrose. The total protein and protease activity was secreted as 52.28mg/L and 3430 U/L, respectively in the same culture.

A planetary gear assembly is a key component to combine and/or split a power from the source. With a planetary gear assembly, a continuously variable unit extends its capacity by means of power bra nching mechanism. Power branching with one planetary gear assembly and one continuously variable unit is categorized into 12 basic types. Each type represents peculiar power transmitting characteristics. Additionally, a multi-mode (range) continuously variable transmission can be designed with accompanying clutches. A multi-mode continuously variable transmission changes the path through which the source power is transmitted. Each path has its own features, such as high efficiency. In this paper, some design principles are examined such as, criteria to guarantee the minimum power efficiency, and constraints to guarantee the smooth mode shift after discussing well-known features of multi-mode M mathematically.
