This paper came out of our project processed through the support of the National Research Foundation of Korea. In this project, our immediate purpose consisted in solving the problems our domestic theatre towns confronted and proposing the creative alternatives to the problems issued. From the analysis of the researches and seminars conducted, we found out that our theatre towns were getting lose of their diversity and public traits due to the prevalent economism and commercialization. We could conclude that our present theatre towns failed to provide the cultural images and contexts through which our Koreans could secure the cultural identification. Based on the crossed methodologies of the internal and external analysis, we suggested the practical model of a new theatre town replacing, complementing, or expanding the present ones in our nation. For this aim, we set our task on comparing several theatre towns of the global cultural cities, which are regarded as the successful cases of theatre clusters. In terms of preserving Seoul Taehakro theatre town, we needed the best case of overcoming economic hardships. Through the examination of Berlin and Nordrhein-Westfallen theatre towns, we could learn how the theatre towns of Berlin and Nordrhein-Westfallen have dealt with economic crisis. In case of the Cartoucherie theatre town located in a park of Paris, as the desirable form of connecting nature and culture, it provided with the possible model of eco-friendly cultural spaces away from the crowded downtown of Seoul. Russian theatre towns such as Moscow and Petersburg helped us consider the working collaboration between the governmental sponsorship and civilian trial in theatre management and theatre education. Lastly, as the alternative choice of expanding Seoul Taehakro, we explored the cultural hub system of New York theatre towns including Broadway, off-Broadway, and off-off-Broadway. Through the case studies we made, we concluded that we could help establish a new or reconstructed international theatre town in South Korea, which would function as one of the global cultural hubs. We felt that not only the governmental supports but also the efforts and passion of the theatre people involved really matter for constructing an innovated theatre towns in South Korea.

In the present study we investigated a clay nanocomposite based on polybenzoxazole (PBO) in order to get high performance PBO nanocomposite fibers. We synthesized polyhydroxyamide (PHA), a precursor polymer to PBO, by low temperature polymerization of dihydroxybenzidine and isophthaloyl chloride. Three kinds of clay dispersions were prepared by in-situ polymerization method, direct mixing of PHA and organo-clay, and mixing with sonication, respectively. X-ray diffraction experiment revealed that PHA-clay nanocomposite showed exfoliation in both direct mixing method and mixing with sonication method. On the other hand, a PHA-clay composite prepared by in-situ method showed no intercalation and exfoliation. TGA and DSC study revealed that the PHA-clay nanocomposites could cyclize at lower temperature compared with PHA. This implies that clay nanoparticles affect the thermal cyclization reaction of PHA lowering the cyclization temperature.

The fuel cells for portable application are attracted using a liquid fuel such as methanol and chemical hydride solutions. Recently, DBFC [Direct Borohydride Fuel Cell] is a candidate for power of portable electronic devices. In this work, the anion exchange membrane and non-precious catalyst for the DBFC were concerned. Anion-exchange membrane was fabricated by amination of polysulfone followed chloromethylation. Non-precious catalysts such as raney-Ni and Ag were used as an anode and cathode catalyst. The optimum conditions of catalyst slurry mixing and MEA fabrication were developed. The single cell performance using anion exchange membrane and non-precious catalyst was evaluated and the results were compared with cation exchange membrane [Nafion membrane] and precious catalysts.

Hydrogen generation by the hydrolysis of aqueous sodium borohydride (NaBH₄) solutions was studied using IRA-400 anion resin dispersed Pt. Ru catalysts and Lithium Cobalt oxide (LiCoO₂) supported Pt, Ru and PtRu catalysts. The performance of the LiCoO₂ supported catalysts is better than the ion exchange resin dispersed catalysts. There is a marked concentration dependence on the performance of the LiCoO₂ supported catalysts and the hydrogen generation rate goes down if the borohydride concentration is increased beyond 10%. The efficiency of PtRu- LiCoO₂ is almost double that of either Ru-LiCoO₂ or Pt-LiCoO₂ for NaBH₄ concentrations up to 10%.

This paper's purposes is to study the effects of the strategic support of top management, the activities of quality management, the quality-oriented culture and the organizational citizenship behavior on business performance for Start-ups. In order to settle quality management activitiesa successfully in start-up companies, Concern and support of Top manangement for the quality is important. Although Top management's commitment to a strong, According to the employee's attitude, the quality performance of company may be much different. the quality performance of company that acceptace attitude for quality management is excellent will increase. And business performance will be affected positively. Also when the company has any problems with the quality, the employee's will trying to solve the problem voluntarily is the important factor for business performance. Through this study, the following statistically significant conclusions were drawn. First, If top management supports the resource strategically for the activation of the quality management, The quality and business performance of start-ups will be improved. Second, If the quality management is activated, The quality and business performance of start-ups will be improved. Third, if quality-oriented culture is matured, the quality and business performance of start-ups will be improved. Fourth, if the level of organizational citizenship behavior is getting higher, the quality performance of start-ups will be improved. Fifth, the quality performance has a mediation effect on the relationship between the quality management and business performance. So when strategic support of Top management, quality management, quality-orented culture and OCB are activated in the organization, the quality performance will be higher than before, so that the business performance will be higher too. To improve the quality performance and business performance in start ups, It is needed to understand the quality management in organization, to implement the quality management constantly. And top management should supports the resource strategically and the employee has to do his best to form quality-oriented culture in the company.
