        들깨(perilla frutescens britton var japonica hara)의 油質評價와 脂肪酸組成의 品種間 差異

        The fatty acids of the oil from two hundred and seven perilla (Perilla frut-escens) cultivars were evaluated to get information for breeding and basic study on perilla. In addition, the peroxide value of perilla oil was compared with sesame (Sesamum indicum L.)and mixture of perila and sesame oil to test the stability of its oil. The perilla oil showed 63.7% in unsaturated linolenic acid content, and it was 17.0% higher than flax(Linum usitatissimum L.) oil. Fatty acid content of oil from perilla cultivars used ranged from 1 to 4% in stearic acid (16:0), from 2 to 9% in palmitic acid (18:0), from 10 to 18% in oleic acid (18:1), from 10 to 20% inlinoleic acid and from 50 to 70% in linolenic acid content. From the cultivars used in this experiment, Euiseongjaerae, Chongjaso (perple color on adaxial leaf), and Chilgogjaerae were selected as high linolenic acid cultivars of which content was as high as 71.3%, 70.4%, and 68.2%, respectively. On the other hand, the high oleic and linoleic acid cultivars were Yeocheonjaerae, Andongjaerae, and Uljionjaerae which has 33.8%, 32.0%, and 29.9% of the two acid content. Peroxide value of perilla oil was 8 and repidly increased from 10 days to one month after oil expression in its value to 22 but its value of sesame oil was 1 to two month from extration. However mixture of unstable perilla oil and highly stable sesame oil showed low peroxide value as 4 at 10 days after oil expression and 8 at 30 days and gradually increased to 9 in its value till two month from one month after oil expression

        산수유(山茱萸)(Cornus officinalisis)의 기내증식(器內增殖)에 관한 연구(硏究) I. 액아배양(腋芽培養)에 의한 Callus 유기(誘起), Shoot 증식(增殖) 및 뿌리 분화(分化)

        약용으로 널리 이용되는 산수유(Cornus officinalisis)의 기내육종을 위한 기초 연구로 액아배양을 통한 기내 대량증식 가성을 검토한 결과, 1) 액아 배양에 적합한 배지로는 MS 배지와 DKW 배지가 77%의 신초형성율을 보여 가장 양호하였고 WPM과 GD배지는 다소 저조하였다. 2) 얻어진 기내 Shoot의 증식에는 DKW가 6.8개의 신초를 형성하고 신초장이 4.5cm, 엽수도 10.8개로 가장 우수하였고 B5 > GD > MS >WPM의 순이었다. 3) Shoot 증식에 적합한 sucrose의 농도는 MS배지의 경우 3%가 좋았으며, 농도가 높아질수록 신초의 기내 생육에 제한적이었으며, 활성탄의 영향으로는 배지내 농도가 $2\;g\;/\;{\ell}$ 까지 증가할 수록 개체의 생육이 양호한 경향이었다. 4) MS배지의 경우 무기염류의 농도는 2MS에 비하여 1/4MS까지 낮아질수록 기내 생육에 적합하였다. 5) Shoot증식을 위하여 BA $0.5mg\;/\;{\ell}$에 auxin을 종류별로 혼합 첨가한 결과 2,4-D 첨가구의 경우 Callus의 생장이 가장 왕성하였으나 Shoot 증식에는 극히 제한적이었고, IAA와 IBA 처리는 Callus가 전혀 유기되지 않는 반면 multiple shoot가 형성되었으며, NAA에서는 Callus형성과 Shoot증식 이 모두 이루어졌다. 6) 신초의 기내 발근유도 시험에서는 MS매지에 NAA $0.5mg\;/\;{\ell}\;와\;BA\;0.5mg\;/\;{\ell}$를 첨가한 처리에서 신초로부터 정상근이 분화 되었으나 5% 비율로 낮았다. Present experiment were attempted to examine in vitro multiplication throughbud culture of Cornus officinalis. Bud derived shoot formation was established successfully on Murashige and Skoog's medium supplemented with $0.5mg\;/\;{\ell}$ BAP(N-benzyl amino purine). The shoot proliferation increased on the Driver Kuniyuki Walnut medium containing $0.5mg\;/\;{\ell}$ NAA(Napthalene acetic acid) and $0.5mg\;/\;{\ell}$ BAP. Addition of 2,4-D(2,4-Dichlorophenoxy acetic acid) to the media produced excessive callus inducton. IAA(Indole-3-acetic acid) and IBA (Indole-3-bu-tyric acid) enhanced multple shooting, and NAA showed callus induction and multiple shooting. Shoot growth was enhanced supplemented with 3% sucrose, $2g\;/\;{\ell}$ activated charcoal, and 1 / 4MS in organic salts. However, root formation of proliferated shoots was low about 5%

        To establish appropriate seed production system in Angelica gigas. Germination of seeds with different bolting years and the growth characters of plants originated from these seeds were investigated. Seed weight from 1st year bolting plant was highest. In germinability according to seeds with different bolting years, seeds from 1st year bolting plant were higher than seeds from 2nd. 3rd years bolting one. In growth characters of plants originated from seeds with different bolting years, as the bolting years became late, root growth increased and top growth decreased, therefore T/R ratio decreased.

        비름(Amaranth)과 명아주(Quinoa) 재배종의 기능성 물질과 변이

        Amaranth(Amaranthus spp. L.) and quinoa (Chenpodium quinoa Willd.) are old crops from South, Central America and Central Asia and their grains have been identified as very promising food crops because of their exceptional nutritive value. Squalene is an important ingredient in skin cosmetics and computer disc lubricants as well as bioactive materials such as inhibition of fungal and mammalian sterol biosynthesis, antitumor, anticancer, and immunomodulation. Amaranth has a component called squalene (2,6,10,15,19,23-hexamethyl-2,6,10,14,22-tetraco-sahexaene) about 1/300 of the seed and $5\~8\%$ of its seed oil. Oil and squalene content in amaranth seed were different for the species investigated. Squalene content in seed oil also increased by $15.5\%$ due to puffing and from 6.96 to $8.01\%$ by refining and bleaching. Saponin concentrations in quinoa seed ranged 0.01 to $5.6\%$. Saponins are located in the outer layers of quinoa grain. These layers include the perianth, pericarp, a seed coat layer, and a cuticle like structure. Oleanane-type triterpenes saponins are of great interest because of their diverse pharmacological properties, for instance, anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, contraceptive, and cholesterol-lowering effects. It is known that quinoa contains a number of structurally diverse saponins including the aglycones, oleanolic acid, hederagenin, and phytolaccagenic acid, which are new potential in gredient for pharmacological properties. It is likely that these saponin levels will be considerably affected by genetic, agronomic and environmental factors as well as by processing. With the current enhanced public interest in health and nutrition amaranth and quinoa will most likely remain in the immediate future within the realm of exotic health foods until such time as agricultural production meets the quantities and qualify required by industrial food manufacturers.

        율무 박피 다수성 선발 계통의 생육 및 종실특성

        This study was conducted to select thin-shelled and high-yielding lines in job`s-tears. Two breeding lines of Suwon 3 and Suwon 6 were selected from the local collections. These two lines were tested and investigated on their characteristics under the field condition. The heading date of Suwon 3 and Suwon 6 was later one or two days, but the maturity date was one or two days earlier than that of check variety Kim-jejong, respectively. The number of grains per hill of Suwon 3, Suwon 6 was 50%, 49% greater and the milling rate was 3.8%, 5.6% higher than that of check variety, respectively. Althought 1000 grain weight of Suwon 3 and Suwon 6 was 20g lighter and the rate of ripeness was 6%, 12% lower, the raw grain yield was 22%, 20% higher than that of check variety, respectively. The thickness of seed coat of Suwon 3 and Suwon 6 was thiner and the hardness of seed coat was lower than that of check variety, therefore the milling time was decreased 12%, 7% compare to check variety, respectively. The crude protein contents of Suwon 3 and Suwon 6 was slightly higher and the amino acid composition of Suwon 6 was similar to Kimjejong, but Suwon 3 was lower than that of check variety.

        참깨의 비닐피복 기계화 일관작업 체계 연구

        This study was carried out to develop and investigate integrated mechanization system on polyethylene(P.E.) film mulching culture in sesame. Field trials were carried out to develop optimum mechanics for each step of manual operation in sesame culture and demonstrated those developed mechanics of sesame dibbling vinyl mulcher, sesame binder, sesame thresher and sesame grader at the farmer, s field of Hwasong (Kyunggi-do) in 1994 and 1995. Newly developed sesame dibbling vinyl mulcher brought saving manpower 280 hrs /ha for sowing and P.E. film mulching with it's 98% of labour saving for the harvesting operation of sesame. Sesame Binder showed 93% labour saving for cutting and binding with only 22 hrs /ha compared to 330 hrs /ha that of conventional. Sesame thresher was appeared to have 85% effects of labour saving for threshing with completely dry sesame bundles at one time by 23 hrs /ha compared to 151 hrs /ha that of conventional. Sesame grader was appeared to have 72% effects for sesame grain grading with 12 hrs /ha compared to that of conventional 54 hrs /ha. Grain yield of integrated mechanization culture system showed 6% higher than that of coventional. Integrated mechanization culture system (sesame dibbling vinyl mulcher + sesame binder + sesame thresher + sasame grader) showed 62% of labour saving effects through whole steps of sesame culture by 472 hrs /ha compared to that of conventional 1, 230 hrs /ha.
