천장형 에어컨이 스프링클러 헤드 작동에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

본 연구는 천장형 에어컨의 기류가 스프링클러 헤드의 작동에 미치는 영향을 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 이용하여 분석한 내용이다. 시뮬레이션 공간은 10 m×7 m×3 m로, 화원의 크기는 0.8 m×0.8 m×0.6 m로 설정하였다. 에어컨에서 발생하는 찬 기류는 25℃로 설정하고 풍속을 10 ㎧, 8.5 ㎧, 7.5 ㎧의 3가지 CASE로 나누어 진행하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 에어컨이 작동하지 않았을 때와 비교했을 때 모든 CASE에서 작동 지연이 발생하였으며 10 ㎧ 풍속의 경우는 10분경과시까지 스프링클러 헤드가 작동하지 않았다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 에어컨이 작동하는 공간에서는 스프링클러 헤드가 작동하는 시간의 지연이 나타났음을 확인할 수 있었고 10 ㎧와 같은 강풍의 경우는 초기진화실패라는 최악의 결과를 예측할 수 있었다. This paper analyzes the effect of airflow of ceiling air conditioner on the operation of sprinkler head using a simulation program. The simulation space is 10 m × 7 m × 3 m, and the size of the fire is 0.8 m × 0.8 m × 0.6 m. The cold air flow from the air conditioner is at 25℃ and the wind speed is divided into three cases : 10 ㎧, 8.5 ㎧, and 7.5 ㎧. Simulation results show that all cases had operating delays compared to when the air conditioner was not running, and the sprinkler head did not operate until 10 minutes had elapsed at 10 ㎧ wind speed. These results confirmed that the sprinkler head was delayed in the air conditioning space and the worst result of early evolution failure was observed in strong winds such as 10 ㎧.

In this paper, the combustion characteristics of solid propellant embedded with metal wires were analyzed by the ground tests of motors. The propellant grains were made of thermoplastic propellants with Al and Cu as metal wires for the enhancement of burning area and designed with cone shape for better ignition. These metals were used to confirm the enhancement of burning rate on thermal diffusivity properties. The internal ballistics analysis and ground test were performed to investigate the effect of burning rate for each metal wire. We obtained the results of burning rate on a difference of thermal diffusivity of each metal wire with well-made propellant grains.
초등학생 스마트폰 의존도가 학업성취도에 미치는 영향 - 2011년과 2019년 시기별 독서시간의 매개효과를 중심으로 -

본 연구는 스마트폰 의존도와 학업성취도의 관계에서 초등학생 독서시간의 매개효과가 2011년과 2019년의 기간에 어떻게 달라졌는지를 실증적으로 규명하기 위해 실시되었다. 본 연구의 표본은 한국청소년정책연구원의 『한국아동·청소년패널조사 2010(KCYPS 2010)』과 『한국아동·청소년패널조사 2018(KCYPS 2018)』초4 패널 2차 자료로 2011년 기준 2,378명, 2019년 기준 2,607명의 초등학교 5학년 학생이다. 연구 결과 첫째, 2011년과 2019년 모두 스마트폰 의존도는 학업성취도에 유의한 부적 효과를 나타냈다. 그런데 통제변수를 투입한 모형에서 2011년에는 학업성취도에 미치는 스마트폰 의존도 영향력이 유의하지 않았고 2019년에는 유의했다. 그리고 독서시간을 추가로 투입한 모형에서 독서시간은 2011년과 2019년 모두 학업성취도를 높이는 정적 영향요인으로 확인되었다. 그리고 학업성취도에 대한 스마트폰 의존도의 영향력을 독서시간이 얼마나 완화하는지를 확인한 결과 2019년 스마트폰 의존도가 학업성취도에 미치는 부정적 영향력의 13.9%를 독서시간이 완화하고 있음을 확인했다. 초등학생의 스마트폰 사용 시간이 지속적으로 증가하고 스마트폰 의존도가 심각해지는 시점에 독서시간의 교육적 의미와 중요성을 다시 한번 확인할 수 있었으며 국어교육에서 초등학생의 독서활동 증진을 위한 다양한 교수학습 방법 및 정책을 시행할 필요가 있음을 시사한다. This study was conducted to empirically identify how the mediated effects of reading time for elementary school students in the relationship between smartphone dependence and academic achievement changed over the period 2011 and 2019. The samples of this study are 5th grade elementary school students, 2,378 students as of 2011 and 2,607 as of 2019, from the secondary data of the Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey 2010 (KCYPS 2010) and 2018 (KCYPS 2018) of National Youth Policy Institute. As a result of the study, first, in both 2011 and 2019, dependence on smartphones showed a significant negative effect on academic achievement. However, when control variables were put in the model, the influence of smartphone dependence on academic achievement was not significant in 2011, but it was significant in 2019. In addition, in the model in which additional reading time was input, reading time was identified as a positive factor that increases academic performance in both 2011 and 2019. In addition, as a result of checking how much reading time relieves the negative impact of smartphone dependence on academic achievement, it was confirmed that reading time alleviated 13.9% of the negative influence of smartphone dependence on academic achievement in 2019. At this time when elementary school students’ smartphone usage time continues to increase and their smartphone dependence becomes serious, the educational meaning and importance of reading time was confirmed once again, suggesting that various teaching and learning methods and policies need to be implemented to promote the reading activity of elementary school students in Korean language education.
Green Curtain 형식의 벽면녹화시스템을 통한 여름철 건물 실내 열환경 비교 분석

In order to solve the limitations of horizontal thermal environment improvement, this study compared the thermal environment of the indoor and outdoor of a building in summer according to the presence or absence of a green curtain, a vertical greening method. In the summer of 2021, the air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and shortwave and longwave radiation were measured at a central point inside a building and the grass field outside of the building to determine the human thermal sensation index, PET and UTCI. As a result, the green curtain showed an average 1.6℃ cooler air temperature during the daytime, but it did not have an effect at night. For relative humidity, it showed higher humidity indoors by an average of 5.6% and 1.0% during the daytime and at night, respectively. Wind speed was 1.4-1.8 ms<sup>-1</sup> and 1.4-1.5 ms<sup>-1</sup> higher outdoors on average during the daytime and at night, respectively, showing a high value outdoors regardless of whether a green curtain was installed. The green curtain showed an average indoor mean radiant temperature reduction effect of 4.7℃ during the daytime, but it did not have an effect at night. In PET and UTCI, the green curtain reduced the indoor PET by about a 1/3 level, an average of 2.1℃, and the indoor UTCI by about a 1/6 level, an average of 1.1℃, during the daytime. However, no effects appeared in PET and UTCI at night. For landscape planning, a green curtain can effectively modify the thermal environment during the daytime in summer.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship among the cultural disposition, morality, and psychological health of medical students to determine how these factors might relate to curriculum planning in medical education. Data was collected from a total of 186 medical students. The questionnaire used included the individual cultural disposition scale, the symptom checklist-90-revised, and the defining issues test. To evaluate individual cultural disposition, we classified students into four categories-low, individual, collective, or mixed cultural disposition-using individualism/collectivism and vertical/horizontal dimensions. We found that those who were younger and in earlier academic years had higher collectivism than individualism and the males had higher individualism than the females. There was no difference in morality or psychological health by the students' sex, age, or academic year. Horizontal collectivism and moral judgment showed a statistically significant correlation (r=0.150, p<0.05), as did stage 6 morality and symptoms of damaged psychological health (r=-0.156, p<0.05). Other than these relationships, no significant correlations between cultural disposition and morality or between morality and psychological health were found. Cultural disposition did have correlations with various aspects of psychological health; specifically, the highest correlation coefficients were found in the relationships between phobic anxiety and horizontal individualism, psychoticism and vertical collectivism, and hostility and horizontal collectivism. The four cultural disposition categories showed relationships not with morality but with psychological health factors including depression, anxiety, hostility, and phobic anxiety. We hope the results of this study can be used to improve the curriculum of medical education.
CALLA를 적용한 외국인 학부생 대상 토론 전략 수업 설계

This Study aims to propose a method for debate strategy classes, applying CALLA (Cognitive Academic Language Learning Approach) to teach debate to foreign undergraduates. Originally, CALLA, which was developed by Chamot & O’Mally (1987), is used as an integrated teaching model comprised of content subject instruction, academic language development, and explicit instruction in learning strategies. Instruction based on CALLA has five steps: introduction, preparation, practice, self-assessment, and expansion. Among these five steps, the self-assessment and expansion stages differ from existing activities in communicative language instruction in that they require students to take the lead in the class. In this study, 118 students were surveyed in order to design curriculum based on CALLA in consideration of students’ propensity to learn and their own culture. As a result, ‘practice’ was named as the stage that students most need to perform sufficiently. In addition, when asked what the teacher should dedicate sufficient time to in class, students also placed high emphasis on methods and progress for using debate strategies effectively. On the other hand, one characteristic that we identified was that, for activities which the students perform by themselves, such as ‘self-assessment’, demand proved to be low. According to the students’ needs survey, this study suggests an example of refutation strategy instruction using on 3 sessions. (Korea University)

본 연구는 국가지식재산위원회 출범이후 한국의 지식재산권 정책에 어떠한 변화가 발생했고, 그 변화과정의 문제점과 대안이 무엇인지를 모색하고자 한다. 이에 대통령지속 국가지식재산위원회와 관계부처 7개의 인터뷰를 중심으로 심층 분석을 실시하였고 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, "우리나라 지식재산행정체계가 과거 분산형 체계였을 때와 비교하여 업무내용과 보고방식의 차이가 있는가?"에 대해 담당자들은 업무내용면에서는 차이가 없음을 밝혔고, 보고방식에 있어서는 대통령과 국무총리에게 직접 보고할 수 있는 채널이 생겼다고 주장했다. 둘째, "지재위가 조정체계로서의 역할을 잘하고 있는가?"에 현재로서는 "지재위가 법률적 권한에 비해 사업집행을 수행할 권한이 부족"하고, "업무수행을 위한 전문인력이 부족"하며, "기존 부처들과 업무상 차별성이 부족"하여 조정체계로서의 역할을 수행하기 어려운 조건을 갖췄다고 주장했다. 지재위가 가진 역할 중 ‘지식재산 관련 과제평가’에 대해 관계부처는 "행정낭비", "기속력부족", "기존 부처와 차별성 부족"등의 부정적인 평가를 했다. 지재위 내 전문위원회와 특별위원회의 활용측면에서도 아직까지는 홍보 및 관리에서 활용도가 낮음을 주장했다. 셋째, "지식재산 관련 기관 간의 이기주의가 감소되었는가?"에 대한 질문에 대해서도 "그렇지 않다"의 응답자가 가장 많았다. This paper analyze change in the Korean intellectual property administration system and problems which occurred following the establishment of the Presidential Council on Intellectual Property (PCIP). The analysis is based on in-depth interviews with officials from the PCIP and seven intellectual property-related ministries about effects of the new institutional setup. The results are follows: Firstly, it turns out that although there have been no changes to the work system, there have been changes in the reporting system as intellectual property officials have been able to directly report to the President since the launch of the PCIP. Secondly, intellectual property officials reported that the PCIP has not enough power relative to other institutions, nor enough able officials and independent authority. Thirdly, inter-agency conflict and sectionalism has not been reduced and still exists.

홈네트워크는 가전 기기와 유무선 인터넷, 모바일 기기 등을 연결하여 가정 내의 시스템을 제어하거나 데이터를 서로 전송하며 다양한 분야에서 이용될 수 있다. 그 중에서 홈 엔터테인먼트, 디지털 홈 등과 같이 콘텐츠가 가치를 가지는 경우에 있어서는 콘텐츠의 불법적인 복제나 유통을 방지하여 콘텐츠 제공자 또는 콘텐츠 저작자의 권리를 보호하기 위한 DRM 기술이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 DRM 기술을 소개하고, 홈네트워크를 위한 DRM 기술 및 표준화 활동에 대하여 알아본다.
논문 : 학문 목적 한국어 학습자의 토론 수행에서 주제 친숙도가 담화 응집성에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study is to find out how topic familiarity of those learning Korean for academic purpose affects discourse coherence during discussion. During discussion, an important ability is to precisely understand the context of discourse and unfold insistence and proof fit for the context. Discussion with insistence and proof fit for the context has strong coherence. This study focused on the concept of ‘topic familiarity’ in a try to find out ways for those learning Korean to produce more coherent discussion discourse. So-far second language education has researched correlation between topic familiarity and learner`s performance mostly in the comprehension realm such as reading and listening. Researches in that realm have reported much higher comprehension when learners read or listen to texts with topics familiar to them. This study`s experiment, however, showed different result in the expression realm such as speaking. This study had 26 learners of Korean for academic purpose have discussion both on topics familiar and unfamiliar to them, which result showed that they produced more coherent discourse when discussing unfamiliar topics. This result may come from their enough preparation for insistence and proof before discussion is made during high-level Korean speaking class. It can be seen that learners make thorough preparation for proof and logic when they have to discuss unfamiliar topics and such preparation lead to more coherent discourse. (Korea University)
