아스팔트포장의 수명 및 공용성 확보를 위한 품질관리 대책의 하나로 아스팔트포장 포설면의 온도 불균형(Thermal Segregation) 현상 최소화를 위하여 균질한 다짐밀도를 확보하기 위한 연구가 미국에서 수행되고 있다. 특히, 적외선 카메라(Infrared Camera)를 이용하여 포설 또는 다짐작업 중인 아스팔트포장 표면의 온도분포를 파악하여 품질관리 기준으로 활용하고 있다. 국내에서도 온도분포 파악을 통한 아스팔트포장의 효율적인 다짐관리 방안이 필요하고 이에 대한 연구가 현재 수행되고 있다. In resent years, temperature segregation has been identified as one of the most important concepts concerning segregation. An Infrared Camera is one of the tools that have been recognized to be effective in identifying temperature segregation. Several state of USA have recognized the problem and have enacted Specifications, and/or test procedures to eliminate temperature segregation. The major objective of this study is to investigate effective compaction method of hot mix asphalt during road construction using Infrared Camera.

The main purpose of this paper is to introduce the early traffic opening-capable continuous multi-layer asphalt pavement maintenance method using electric arc furnace slag aggregate and emulsified asphalt to the actual construction sites. As well known, the previous surface treatment method of emulsified asphalt mixture have various shortcomings such as long work-time, traffic congestions, plastic deformation and poor evenness. Thus, the proposed method has enabled tile early traffic opening by utilizing the optimized emulsified asphalt after consideration of the climate and road conditions in Korea. The application of the electric furnace slag with <TEX>$6\;{\sim}\;18\;mm$</TEX> thickness is helpful to become a environment-friendly construction method. And also, it has been improved enough to accommodate night-time works of mechanized construction activities for wearing course and control course.

Asphalt overlay resurfacing techniques have been widely utilized in maintaining asphalt concrete in Korea, causing severe traffic congestions while being in construction and difference in level due to the repeated overlay. Besides on these technical difficulties, there have been financial disadvantages associated with technique, mainly because overlay method has been executed for pavements with intact foundations, which is contrary to the norm. This study is aiming to increase the expected life length of the asphalt pavement up to the endurance period, to raise the efficiency of the pavement by maximizing the social benefit and to enhance public character of the street through combining ceramics with epoxy resins, which has advantages in compatibility with the existing pavement materials, durability to abrasion and endurance. It has been expected that the adoption of new method and pavement materials to the actual work sites will develop the performance of the pavements, and to lengthen the durability of the existing materials. The other advantages of the `thin surfacing` method could be the improved adhesiveness, waterproof, corrosion-proof and bending strength.

본 연구는 산업폐기물인 D사의 K 섬유를 사용하여 아스팔트 콘크리트 혼합물의 피로파괴에 대한 저항성 향상의 증진가능성을 평가하고자 수행되었다. 본 연구에서는 MTS사의 CLSS (Closed-Loop Servohydraulic System)와 미국 표준시험법인 ASTM D 4123에 따라 MTS사가 개발한 시험장치를 사용하여 피로시험을 수행하였다. 본 연구 결과에 의하면 적정 섬유첨가량은 전체 혼합물 중량기준 약 0.2%의 길이 8mm 섬유가 가장 우수한 성능을 발휘함을 보였고, 이 때의 적정 아스팔트 함량은 전체 혼합물 중량기준 5.5%로 나타났다. 폐섬유를 재활용하여 생산된 섬유보강 아스팔트 혼합물이 기존의 밀입도 20 아스팔트 혼합물보다 피로파괴에 대한 저항성면에서 월등히 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 섬유보강 아스팔트 혼합물의 회복 탄성계수값은 일반 밀입도20 아스팔트 혼합물보다 약 <TEX>$1.15{\sim}1.18$</TEX>배 높게 평가되었다. The main purpose of this paper is to evaluate the possibility of improvement in fatigue resistance of asphalt concrete mixture using the industrial waste material of K fiber. In this research, as an experimental equipment, the MTS with Closed-Loop Servohydraulic System was used and it was designed according to the U.S. standard testing procedure of ASTM D 4123. According to the test results, the optimum content of fiber with the length of 8mm was about 0.2 percent of total mixture weight. The optimum asphalt content for the fiber-reinforced asphalt concrete was about 5.5 percent of total mixture weight. Fatigue resistance of fiber-reinforced asphalt concrete was noticeable compared to the conventional dense-graded 20 asphalt concrete. In addition, the resilient moduli of fiber-reinforced asphalt mixture were <TEX>$1.15{\sim}1.18$</TEX> times higher than those of conventional asphalt concrete.

In recent years, the concrete cracks in most construction field have been widely presented and developed. Also it is well known the repair cost of the concrete cracks have been rapidly increased in Korea. So the concrete crack expert system was developed to minimize the repair cost and to support the field engineer. The feature of this web based system for diagnosing the causes of concrete cracks is comprised of comfortable user application.
