XML 문서에 대한 포함질의는 XML의 핵심 질의 중의 하나이다. 따라서, XML 데이터를 지원하는 DBMS에서 이런 유형의 질의를 효과적으로 처리하는 것은 매우 중요한 문제이다. 최근 들어, 객체관계형 DBMS에 XML 데이터를 저장하려는 많은 노력들이 시도되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 객체관계형 DBMS에 BLOB 형태로 저장된 XML 데이터를 대상으로 포함질의를 효과적으로 처리하기 위한 확장형 인덱스를 제시한다. 즉, 객체관계형 DBMS의 확장성을 이용해서 포함질의 처리를 위한 효과적으로 처리하는 확장형 인덱스의 구현과 이 인덱스의 사용 방법을 기술한다. Containment queries for XML documents is one of the most important query types, and thus the efficient support for this type of query is crucial for XML databases. Recently, object-relational database management system (ORDBMS) vendors try to store and retrieve XML data in their products. In this paper, we propose an extensible index to support containment queries over the XML data stored as BLOB type in ORDBMSs. That is, we describe how to implement the index using the extensibility feature of an ORDBMS, and describe its usage.
퍼지집합 질적 비교분석을 통한 의료분야 사용자 혁신 단계별 핵심요인 조합 연구

본 연구는 의료분야 사용자 혁신을 아이디어 도출-연구개발-상용화 및 창업의 세 단계로 분류하고, 각 단계별로 혁신의 성공에 미치는 핵심요인의 조합을 30개 국내 사례에 대한 퍼지집합 질적 비교분석을 통해 파악했다. 아이디어 단계에서는 사용자 인적 네트워크상에서 그 가치를 평가하고, 연구개발 단계로의 이행을 위한 자원을 제공해 주는 것이 중요했다. 연구개발 단계에서는 급진적 혁신은 기술역량, 자원 접근성, 정부지원이 모두 갖추어져 있거나 우수한 혁신 네트워크에 아이디어가 도입된 경우 발생했다. 상용화/창업의 경우 급진적 혁신은 연구개발과 같이 세 조건이 모두 갖춰진 경우 발생했으며, 점진적 혁신은 기술역량이 탁월한 개인이 소규모 정부지원 또는 주변 자원을 활용해 이루어졌다. 민간기업의 사용자 혁신 전략과, 정부 지원 정책의 효과, 효율성을 모두 제고할 수 있는 사용자 혁신의 틀을 제공했다는 점에 현실적 의미가 있다. 학술적으로는 사용자 혁신 단계별 핵심요인 조합을 규명하고, 퍼지집합 질적 비교분석방법을 적용한 첫 연구라는 의의가 있다. We examine how combinations of key factors affecting healthcare user innovation vary by innovation stages from idea generation through R&D to commercialization and venturing using a fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA) of thirty Korean cases in the healthcare field. Our empirical analysis shows that well-functioning innovation network and easy resource acquisition facilitate ideation of radical user innovation. However, technological capability and governmental support are crucial to make a shift to R&D as well as commercialization stages. Differently, incremental user innovation depends heavily on technological capability of users. Our analysis can provide policy makers as well as corporate innovation mangers with a strategic framework for boosting user innovation along three stages.
고등학교(高等學校) 학생(學生)의 대수(代數) 문제(問題) 해결(解決) : 전략(戰略)과 오류(誤謬) 분석(分析)

The purpose of this study is to provide the primary sources to improve the problem solving performance by analyzing the errors and the strategies selection of the high school students when solving given algebraic problems. To attain the purpose of this study, the questions for investigation in this study are : 1. What are the differences / similarities in the patterns of errors committed by successful and unsuccessful problem-solvers when solving particular algebraic problems ? 2. What are the error types chosen by unsuccessful problem-solvers when solving particular algebraic problems? 3. Do students utilize checking, either locally or globally, when solving particular algebraic problems? Twenty students were drawn out of 10th grade students in J girls' high school in Yengi -gun, Chung-Nam, for this study. The problem-solving test was used as a test instrument. From the data, the verbal protocols and the written protocols were analyzed by the patterns. The conclusions drawn from the results obtained in the present study are as follows: First, in solving particular algebraic problems, when the problems were solved with one strategy, most students didn't give any consideration to other strategies. So mathematics teachers should teach them to use the various strategies, and should develop the problems to be used the various strategies. Second, in solving particular algebraic problems, errors on notions or transformations of equations were found. Thus, the basic knowledges related to equation should be taught. In addition, most unsuccessful students seleted the strategies inadequately to solve the problems because of misunderstanding the problems. So, to improve the problem solving performance the processes of 'understanding problem' should be emphasized to students. Third, although the unsuccesful students used the 'checking' processes when solving the problems, most of them did not find the errors because of misconceptions related to the problems, carelessness, and unskillfulness of checking. Thus, students must be taught more carefully and encouraged to use the checking.

Objectives : Two related cases of Hemolytic-Uremic Syndrome (HUS) were reported to the Korea National Institute of Health in May, 2001. Shiga toxin 2 genes were detected in both stool samples. We suspected an enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC) infection as the cause of the HUS, and conducted an investigation to find the source of the infection and its route of transmission. Methods : We peformed case investigations on these two related HUS cases, and obtained interviews and rectal swabs form the family members and other close contacts. Additionally, we peformed rectal swabs on the cattle raised by the household of the index patient. Results : We found a 20 month old index patient and a 6 year-old cousin had developed HUS, where there had been a 2 day history of contact with the index, and bacteriological examinations for these two patients revealed, indistinguishably, the same E. coli O171. The grandmother of the index patient was found to be asymptomatic, but E. coli O26 was isolated. We also found a probable case in the mother of the cousin. She reported a history of contact with the index, and developed bloody diarrhea of 3 days duration. The test results for the cattle revealed E. coli O26 in one cow, and E. coli O26 and O55 in another. E. coli O26, which was isolated in both cows and the grandmother of the index, were indistinguishably the same. Conclusions : We found that the E. coli O26 in the grandmother had originated from the cows, and that the E. coli O171 found in the index patient had been transmitted to the cousin through person-to-person contact.
