Hydrothorax is a known complication of central venaus catheterization. We observed mediastinal hydrothorax following intrapleural effusion secondary to central venous catheter malposition in a 3 month child who was treated with respiratory support and chest drainage sucessfully. The position of central venous catheter should be evaluated routinely by chest X-ray or aspiration of blood through the central venous catheter to avoid complication.
펜타닐 정주로 인한 기침반사반응에 대한 클로니딘의 효과

Background : The opioid agonist fentanyl has been used at induction of anesthesia to stabilize hemodynamic parameters. But it can induce cough and in some patients, it can be hazardous. We investigated the effect of α2- agonist clonidine premedication on fentanyl induced cough reflex. Methods: 83 patients (ASA class 1) were involved in this study and divided into two groups: Group 1 (no premedication group, n=43) and Group 2 (clonidine 300 g p .o. 1 hour prior to anesthesia, n=40). Before induction of anesthesia, in each group, fentanyl was injected within 1 second through a peripheral venous cannula in dorsum of hand and rapid fluid infusion was followed. We checked cough response, cough emerging time and it's duration. We graded the duration of cough into grade I and II (Grade I: shorter than 5 seconds, Grade II: longer than 5 seconds). Results : There was no significant difference in the incidence of fentanyl induced cough reflex between Group 1 (34.9%) and Group 2 (25.6%). The incidence of Grade II i higher in Group 1 (18.3%) than in Group 2 (2.5%). Conclusions : Clonidine, as a premedication agent, couldn't reduce the incidence of fentanyl induced cough reflex. But it reduced the degree of cough response. (Korean J Anesthesiol 1998; 35: 285∼289)

“Brand” is frequently discussed as a result of the increase of M&A. “Brand” is an important factor that it produces not only the short-term selling increase but also the long-term incorporation development. implanting brand identity to the people, therefore, is a pending problem to both a corporation and brand itself. Considering this problem, what this research concludes is like followings: 1)The image of a corporation have a direct effects on the favor toward corporate advertising. 2)The attractiveness of corporate advertising and the image of a corporation have a positive influence on the brand positioning. 3)The attractiveness of corporate advertising and the image of a corporation have some meaningful connection with the factors of brand personality except price. 4)Factors which influence the formation of brand identity are proven to be quality, brand-name and advertisements. Based the results of this research, we now suggest some useful methods to understand the importance of forming corporation identity and create communication stategies by corporation for customers.
지역특성을 고려한 학교규모 적정화 방향 설정에 관한 연구

본 연구는 적정규모학교의 효율적인 육성을 위하여, 적정규모학교에 대한 이론적 고찰, 국내 학생수 및 학교현황 분석, 적정규모학교 육성사업 현황분석, 적정규모학교 가이드라인(안) 제안 등의 순서로 연구를 진행하였다. 적정규모학교 기준(안)은 시 도별 특성과 지역의 여건을 고려하며, 기존 선행연구들의 교육적 효과와 교육과정의 운영 효율성을 고려하여 이상적인 방향으로 제안하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 적정규모학교의 효율적인 육성을 위하여, 적정규모학교에 대한 이론적 고찰, 국내 학생수 및 학교현황 분석, 적정규모학교 육성사업 현황분석을 통해 적정규모학교 가이드라인(안)을 제안하였다. School appropriate scale refers to the size of the school to minimize students' educational deficits and ensure an appropriate level of students, the number of classes, class size, etc., and maximize educational effects. Difficult set of absolute standards appropriate scale school, contemporary social situations and educational effects, and seek a comprehensive and reasonable direction, considering this is required. School appropriate scale it is preferable to consider the effect of conditions in areas such as education, curriculum, but it is common to set the range in terms of school operational effectiveness, and efficiency of education funding, school environment. So the concept of the appropriate scale including the school's status changes associated with school size, is seeking a new direction is needed so that the school environment, etc. are considered.
Valine 및 Alanine 분자로 표면 처리된 수용성의 ZnS 나노입자의 합성 및 특성연구

본 논문에서는 구조가 간단하고 생체분야에 응용 가능한 valine, alanine등의 아미노산 분자를 이용하여 수용성 ZnS 나노입자를 합성하였다. 얻어진 고체 생성물들은 XRD, HR-TEM, 및 EDXS분석으로 그 특성을 조사하였다. HR-TEM image 분석의 결과 크기가 대략 3.3에서 3.6 nm 의 입자들이 만들어 졌음을 확인 할 수 있었으며, 나노 입자 표면의 아미노산 분자들은 FT-IR 과 FT-Raman spectrum 을 얻어 결합 모드 등을 분석하였다. Water soluble ZnS nanocrystals were synthesized by capping the surface of the nanocrystals with valine and alanine molecules, which are structurally simple and bio friendly amino acids. The obtained ZnS nanocrystal powders were characterized by XRD, HR-TEM, and EDXS spectroscopies. The measured particle sizes by HR-TEM images were in the range of 3.3 to 3.6 nm. In addition, the surface capping amino acids molecules were characterized by FT-IR and FT-Raman spectroscopies.

2차원 k-ε 난류모델과 1/5 크기의 축소 수모델 실험을 통해 용강의 RH 탈가스 처리시 래들내 유동특성과 환류량에 미치는 조업변수들의 영향에 대해 조사했다. RH 탈가스시 래들내 용강흐름은 강한 난류특성을 나타내어 래들내 정체지역이 존재하지 않으며, 용강혼합이 잘 일어난다. 수모델 실험결과로부터 환류량과 조업변수와의 상관관계를 유도하여 환류량 계산식을 제시했다. 상승관에서 이상류 흐름을 고려한 RH 탈가스계의 에너지 수지는 각 조업변수에 따른 환류량 예측에 매우 유용한 수단임을 확인했다. In order to recognize the effects of the process parameters on the flow pattern in the ladle during RH degassing process, a numerical approach of k-ε turbulent model and a water model experiment were carried out. It was found that molten steel flows in the ladle have high turbulent characteristics and RH degasser is an excellent mixer. The maximum values of turbulent energy as well as dissipation rate of turbulent energy occur in the vicinity of the snorkel. The computation formula of circulation rate was derived from the results of the water model experiment. Furthermore, it was proved that the energy balance in RH degassing process is the effective means for predicting circulation rate.

Burnout research has mostly been performed in human service fields. However, it has recently been expanded to cover diverse settings and even non-occupational samples, such as students. In this study, we defined the construct of academic burnout, which is the burnout experienced by students. Next, we described the concept of academic burnout by introducing measurements for assessing academic burnout. On the basis of the demand-control model (DCM) and effort-reward imbalance model (ERIM), which are the most predominant theoretical burnout models, we described the causal factors and the pathway to experiencing academic burnout symptoms. The ERIM was a more influential model than the DCM when explaining the academic burnout of Korean students. Based on the results of previous longitudinal studies on academic burnout, we recognized emotional exhaustion and academic inefficacy as the initial symptoms of academic burnout. Finally, we discussed the prevention and intervention programs with specific components that should be included in those programs.
