      • 일개 대학병원 입원환자가 지각한 간호사 돌봄행위의 중요도

        The purpose of this study was to identify the importance of nurse caring behaviors perceived by adult patients. Subjects of this study were 244 adult patients who were hospitalized in a university hospital. Instrument of this study was Caring Measurement Tool developed for the evaluation of quality of nursing care. The 5 point Likert scale was consisted of 27 nurse caring behaviors, which were devided to 3 factor, accessibility and availability, emotional support and giving information and giving protective environment. The internal consistancy reliability of the tool in the study was alpha=0.9544. Data collection was done from 9th Feb 1998 to 25th Feb.1998. The results of the study were 1. Average scores of the importance of the factors of nurse caring behaviors were accessibility and availability 3.85(0.77), emotional support and giving information 3.59(0.87), and giving protective environment 3.60(1.03). 2. Average score of the importance of whole items(27 items) was 3.74( 0.76). 3. The most important nurse caring behavior was 'provide hygienic treament or nursing care' 4.15(1.01) 4. There were no significant differances in the scores of importance of the factors by the most part of patients' general characteristics. But there were significant differances in the scores of importance of the factors by the existence of carer(F=3.29, P=0.04), and caring experience of the patients(F=3.75, P=0.05). 5. The most important nurse caring behaviors by the patients' general characteristics were 'provide hygienic treament or nursing care', 'come and help immediately for my discomfort', 'answer well to my question', 'value my opinion for treatment or nursing care', and 'look around precisely to detailed part'.

        일중독의 통합 모델에 관한 연구

        일중독과 직무열의는 외견상 일에 몰두하는 모습을 보이기 때문에 개념적으로 혼동을 초래할수 있다. 비록 일중독이 직무열의와 다른 현상임에도 불구하고, 차이를 규명한 연구는 미미하다. 본 연구는 일중독과 직무열의 차이점을 이론적 및 실증적으로 규명하기 위해 Bakker와 Demerouti(2007, 2008)이 제시하였던 직무열의의 통합 모델을 활용하여 일중독의 통합모델을 제시하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 직무요구는 일중독에 정(+)의 관계를 보였다. 둘째, 직무 자원은 직무 요구와 일중독의 정(+)의 관계를 완화시키는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 개인적 자원/심리적 자본도 직무요구와 일중독의 정(+)의 관계를 완화시키는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 일중독은 기대했던 대로 조직시민행동과 부(-)의 관계를 보였으나, 이직의도와는 가설과는 반대로 부(-)의 관계로 나타났다. Workaholism and work engagement both imply high involvement with work. Therefore, this similarity has led to some conceptual confusion. Although workaholism differs in important ways from work engagement, few studies investigate that distinction. This study applies the integrative model of work engagement suggested by Bakker and Demerouti (2007, 2008) to workaholism and proposes an integrative workaholism model to demonstrate the theoretical and empirical dissimilarity between workaholism and work engagement. It first demonstrates that job demands are positively related to workaholism. Second, job resources moderate the relationship between job demands and workaholism. Third, personal resources/psychological capital moderate the relationship between job demands and workaholism. Finally, workaholism is negatively related to organizational citizenship behavior as expected and workaholism is negatively related to turnover intention contrary to hypothesis.

        This study was done to identify patient outcomes at nursing researches in Korea Target population of this study were experimental researches performed as Doctoral dissertations or master's theses in the field of nursing science, or researches published at The Journal of Nurses Academic society from 1970 to 1996 m Korea Inclusion criteria for selection of the subjects were patient outcome as the dependent variable, patient as the subject and treatment by nurse Exclusion criteria were normal newborn baby as the subject, and institutionalized elderly as the subject. The subjects of this study were 190 theres and 32 researches published at the Journal and data on the patient outcomes were collected from the subjects 287 cases of patient outcome criteria were collected. The patient outcome criteria were classified with the areas of physical, psycho-social, behavioral, and cognitive, and with the positive or negative meaning. Results of this study were (1) 'Anxiey' was found as the most frequently used patient outcome criteria(20.2%) and pain, self-care were followed in order. (2) Patient outcome criteria included to the psycho-social area were used most frequently( 40.1%) (3) The positive patient outcome criteria were used more than the negative criteria(56.1 %)

        산부인과 간호사의 결혼이주민 산모 간호경험

        본 연구의 목적은 결혼이주민 산모에 대한 간호경험을, 실제 간호현장에서 이들을 간호하고 있는 산부인과 간호사들 로부터의 진술을 통해 기술하고 설명함으로써, 결혼이주민 산모의 간호서비스 향상 방안 마련을 위해 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는 것이다. 초점집단의 면담을 통해 질적 내용분석을 적용하여 연구의 주요 질문을 중심으로 분석한 결과, 산보인과 간호사의 결혼이주민 산모 간호경험은 5개의 주요 면담 질문으로 부터 14개 범주 및 35개 하위범주로 설명할 수 있었다. 결혼이주민 산모 간호의 질적 향상을 위해 산부인과 간호사의 의사소통 능력과 문화적 역량을 증진시킬 수 있는 프로그램의 개발 및 적용 연구를 제언한다. This study aimed to describe and understand the clinical nurses’ experience of nursing care for delivery of married immigrant women and then provide useful information for making strategies to improve nursing service for the married immigrant women in delivery. Data were collected with three focus group interviews and a few followed individual interviews and analyzed with qualitative content analysis. As a result, the 35 subcategories and 14 categories were extracted and named according to the five main interview questions. Based on the findings, the programs for nurses providing nursing care for married immigrant women in delivery to improve their language and cultural competencies are recommended

        임상간호사의 리더십 경험

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand and describe the leadership experience of clinical nurses. Methods: During 2014, data were collected using focus group interviews. Three focus group interviews were held with a total of 20 clinical nurses participating. All interviews were recorded as they were spoken and transcribed and data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results: Fifteen categories emerged from the five main themes. 1) Thoughts on the leadership category: to lead others, to cope with problem situations adequately and to serve as a shield against difficulties. 2) Situations requiring leadership: situation that requires correct judgement, coping and situations that need coordination and cooperation. 3-1) Leadership behaviors: other-oriented approach and self-oriented approach. 3-2) Leadership behavior consequences: relevant compensation and unfair termination. 4-1) Facilitators of leadership: confidence and passion for nursing and external support and resources. 4-2) Barriers to leadership: non-supportive organization culture and deficiency in own leadership competencies. 5) Strategies of leadership development: strengthen leadership through self-development and organizational leadership development. Conclusion: In conclusion, the results indicate that it is necessary to enhance clinical nurses’ leadership role in healthcare. Enhancement can be achieved through leadership programs focused on enlarging leadership experience, constant self-development, leadership training, and development of leadership competencies suited to the nursing environment.

      • 간호사의 돌봄과 간호에 대한 환자만족도의 관계

        Purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between caring of nurse and patient satisfaction with nursing care. Subjects of this study were 374 adult patients expected to be discharged from 2 medical center. 5 point Likert scale with 27 items was measuring the caring of nurse and VAS was used measuring the patient satisfaction with nursing care Data were collected from Mar.2, 1996 to Apr. 20, 1996, and data were analyzed with SPSS/pc 30. The results of this study were (1) Average score of the caring of nurses was 94.77 and the patient satisfaction with nursing care was 71.24 (2) There was significant difference in the score of caring of nurse, but not significant difference in the score of patient satisfaction with nursing care between two medical centers. (3) There was not significant differences in the scores of caring of nurse by general characteristics of the subjects, but signigicant differences in the scores of patient satisfaction with nursing care by some characteristics of the subjects, such as the experience of hospitalization in the same medical center and the existence of care givers during the hospitalization. (4) There was significant correlation between the score of caring of nurse and the score of patient satisfaction with nursing care(r= .7186). (5) The score of the patient satisfaction with nursing care was significantly explained 51.6% only by the score of the caring of nurse.

      • 임상간호사의 이직의도에 관한 개념틀 개발Ⅰ: 국내 관련 문헌을 중심으로

        Because, turnover rate in hospital nurses is increasing rapidly in Korea, strategies for the management of the turnover is specially important to nurse managers. Also, for the effective management, proper conceptual models are necessary for the prediction of that phenomenon. This study was performed to develope a conceptual framework for the explanation of the intention of turnover in hospital nurses in Korea. For this purpose, researches which studies about the turnover and intention of turnover m hospital nurses and were published in Korea from 1992 to 2001 were used. The subject researches were 14, and 9 of them were survey researches and the rest of them were correlational researches. As a result of this study, a conceptual framework about the intention of turnover in hospital nurses in Korea(1) was developed. Regarding to this conceptual framework, the intention of turnover could be affected by influencing factors and mediating factors. In the influencing factors, there were person factors, job factors, and organization ard management factors. In the mediating factors, role stress, organizational commitment, and Job satisfaction were included. And consequently, the intention could be realized with the trigger by the cues to action. Considering factors of this conceptual framework, nurse managers should establish the polices for nursing staff management that is especially related to the job, organization and management. Also, nurse managers should be concerned about the mediating factors more and more.

        만성질환자의 병원간호사에 대한 인식

        Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative research was to investigate chronically ill patients’ perception of hospital nurses. Methods: Individual in-depth interviews and qualitative content analysis were used for data collection and analysis respectively. Participants were 13 chronically ill hospitalized patients or outpatients in three universities hospitals. All interviews were recorded and transcribed verbatim. Data were analyzed using the qualitative content analysis suggested by Graneheim and Lundman (2004). Results: Three themes emerged from the 10 sub-themes, which were categorized from the 21 condensed meaning units by interpreting the underlying meanings. The three themes were “person giving comfort and support by caring”, “person facilitating the process of healing”, and “person taking the initiative in power relations”. Two themes involved positive experiences of patients and the other included negative ones. Conclusion: The results showed that the participants perceived the hospital nurses as devoted to caring for patients and facilitating treatments, but authoritative in performing their duty. Based on these results, it is recommended that hospital nurses improve their nursing knowledge, skills and humanistic attitude.

        호스피스간호사의 영적갈등 경험

        Purpose: This aim of this phenomenological study was to describe and understand the experience of spiritual conflict in hospice nurses by identifying the meanings and structures of the experience. Methods: Participants were 12 nurses working for one year or more at hospice units of general hospitals in a metropolitan city and experiencing of spiritual conflict as hospice nurses. Over six months data were collected using individual in-depth interviews and analyzed with the method suggested by Colaizzi. Results: The experience of spiritual conflict in participants was organized into three categories, six theme-clusters, and 13 themes. The participants felt existential anxiety on death and a fear of death which is out of human control and skepticism for real facts of human beings facing death. They also experienced agitation of fundamental beliefs about life with agitation of the philosophy of life guiding themselves and mental distress due to fundamental questions that are difficult to answer. Also they had distress about poor spiritual care with guilty feelings from neglecting patients’spiritual needs and difficulties in spiritual care due to lack of practical competencies. Conclusion: Findings indicate the experience of spiritual conflict in hospice nurses is mainly associated with frequent experience of death in hospice patients. The experience of spiritual conflict consisted of existential anxiety, agitation of fundamental beliefs and distress over poor spiritual care. So, programs to help relieve anxiety, agitation and distress are necessary to prevent spiritual conflict and then spiritual burnout in hospice nurses.
