        표면코팅을 통한 LiMn<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub> 양극의 고온성능 개선

        리튬 이차전지의 양극 활물질인 스피넬 망간산화물(${LiMn_2}{O_4}$, LMO) 표면에 ITO(indium tin oxide)를 코팅하여, 고온($55^{\circ}C$)에서 사이클 수명과 속도특성을 조사하였다. 정전류 정전압 충방전 실험의 결과, ITO가 코팅되지 않은 LMO 전극의 표면에서 고온 고전압 조건에서 전해질이 분해하여 피막이 형성되고, 이 피막의 저항으로 인하여 분극현상(polarization)이 심하게 발생하였다. 그러나, ITO가 2 mol% 이상 코팅된 LMO의 경우 양극 활물질과 전해질과의 직접적인 접촉 면적이 줄어들어, 전해질의 분해가 감소하였고 내부저항에 의한 분극 현상 또한 현저히 감소하였다. 이러한 결과, ITO가 코팅된 전극의 충방전에 따른 가역성이 코팅되지 않은 LMO에 비해 크게 향상되었다. 적외선 분광기를 이용하여 ITO가 코팅된 LMO 표면에서 피막형성이 감소함을 확인하였다. ITO의 코팅으로 LMO 전극의 속도특성도 크게 향상되었는데, 이는 저항이 큰 피막형성이 억제된다는 점과 ITO의 전기전도도가 크다는 사실로 설명할 수 있다. An indium-tin oxide (ITO) coated spinel manganese oxide (${LiMn_2}{O_4}$, LMO) is prepared and its high-temperature ($55^{\circ}C$) cycle performance and rate capability are examined. A severe electrolyte decomposition and film deposition is observed on the un-coated ${LiMn_2}{O_4}$ cathode, which leads to a significant electrode polarization and capacity fading. Such an electrode polarization is, however, greatly reduced for the ITO-coated (> 2 mol%) LMO cathode, which leads to an improved cycle performance. This can be rationalized by a suppression of electrolyte decomposition, which is in turn indebted to a decrease in the direct contact area between LMO and electrolyte. The suppression of film deposition on the ITO-coated LMO cathode is confirmed by infra-red spectroscopy. The rate capability is also improved by the surface coating, which may be resulted from a suppression of resistive film deposition and high electric conductivity of ITO itself.

        The present study deals with basic vocabulary items used in the elementary and middle school textbooks of Korea (195 Sino-Korean words were selected from total 1,585 lexical items including vocabularies of native origin, Sino-Korean lexes, and loan words). The research method employed was as follows: The 195 words were alphabetically ordered into mono-syllabic (28), bi-syllabic (129), and multi-syllabic words, and then were compared with their Japanese and Chinese counterparts. From the research findings, four effective ways of teaching Chinese characters were proposed in accordance with the FLL (Foreign Language Learning) principles of vocabulary instruction. What was also proposed was the necessity of designating the list of Korean Chinese characters to be used in everyday life.

        국문화의 교육내용과 교육방법 연구

        Instruction on target culture has emerged as essential element in Korean education. Foreign/Second language teaching should take the role of teaching the target culture (Korean culture) in that a learner will be able to enhance his/her language learning with learning of the culture. Therefore, instruction on Korean culture should be included in the curriculum when a learner takes the first step for Korean language learning. In other words, language instruction itself can not takes the central place of Korean education, but “Korean circumstance”, and “Korean culture” should be treated seriously in this field. This study tries to suggest what should be taught in classroom, and how they can be effectively transmitted to students by examining current teaching methods and contents on Korean language and culture. In this paper, I would like to present two aspects in cultural instruction: course offerings and their contents. Regarding the course offering, I will present about the case of the inside of Korea (degree seeking admitted students and non-degree students) and the outside of Korea (Korean major students and non-major students). Along with this, I will suggest the course names, too. Then, I sub-divided the contents part for each type of courses: “Korea" in their course name (thirty items including Nature and natural features in Korea, Korean politics, Korean economics, Korean arts, Korean’s life, Korea’s annual events etc.), and general course (fifteen items including rural and urban district, Human relationships, Religion, University life, Election system, Diet and health). After that, I described the teaching methodology by types: lecture, discussion, students’ presentation, reading, using multi media, and field trip. This research is expected to show a model for teaching Korean culture by presenting class contents and teaching methodology along with suggesting textbooks and names of the courses.       • DTP 시스템에서 소재의 이송 및 부착거리가 액적 거동에 미치는 영향에 관한 수치적 연구

        In high speed of single-pass type DTP(digital textile printing) system, the printing quality of a shear-type piezoelectric inkjet printhead is influenced by the nozzle shape, the substrate movement, and distance between nozzle exit and substrate. It is also well known that the printing quality is generally dependent on the volume and velocity of main and satellite droplets and break-up time. Therefore, in the present work, the droplet behavior of a piezoelectric actuator is investigated numerically. The transient three-dimensional conservation equations of mass and momentum are solved by the computational fluid dynamics(CFD). The continuous surface force(CFS) model is used in order to predict the effect of surface tension force in the free surface flow. The volume-of-fluid method with the piecewise linear interface construction (PLIC) scheme is employed for tracking the interfacial movement and reconstructing the interface between ink and air. The interaction between the air flow induced by droplet drag and the Couette flow entrained from the substrate movement is also investigated as well as the effect of distance between nozzle exit and substrate.

        In this paper, we design and implement a distributed control system using field-bus for ship engine system. For monitoring the condition of the ship engine, an implemented distributed control system is consisted of two-tier networks based on CAN (Controller Area Network) and MODBUS protocols. First-tier is consisted of CAN protocol for sharing the condition of the ship engine by each implemented monitoring system. By using MODBUS protocol, second-tier is used for communicating the monitoring data from an implemented distributed control system to AMS (Alarm Monitoring System). We verified our distributed control system by KR (Korea Register) technical rules by setting up test-bed.
