In this paper, the digital pilot actuator with a solenoid for high-voltage circuit breaker was studied. The solenoid is made of a soft magnetic iron bar with a large number of coil windings. when an electric current passes through this, this stationary core becomes the strong magnet used for hydraulic and pneumatic valve of a solenoid operated valve. For the performance evaluation of the solenoid for high-voltage circuit breaker, electromagnetic characteristics and dynamic characteristics were analyzed. And, the parameters which is related to performance improvement were investigated. From the experiment of a digital pilot actuator, it was confirmed that time constant of a solenoid is 7㎳ and digital pilot actuator is 54㎳.

The purpose of this study is to develope new pressure control valve and to verify the validity of the new mechanism with pressure control pin. The dynamic characteristics of the object pressure reducing valve was studied by numerical analysis of the mathematical model. Also, static and dynamic characteristics of the new pressure control valve was tested by testing system is based on test standard.

In the common rail system, fuel control for high pressure injection is very important and actuator for high frquency fuel control is needed. In this paper, low pressure proportional solenoid actuator which is used for fuel control of common rail system of diesel vehicle was studied. this study performed finite element analysis of a constant force solenoid for diesel fuel control. Based on these analyses, an optimized solenoid actuator model for diesel fuel control was suggested and manufactured. Also, the performance of this model was evaluated through the experiments.

Exhaust brake system is composed of gate valve, pneumatic cylinder and on-off solenoid valve. On-off solenoid which is key component of exhaust brake system ought to have characteristics such as high reliability and long life for reducing the foot brake and tires damage, and for driver's fatigue relief of middle/large size vehicles running a long distance.<br/> In this paper, on-off solenoid which is used for vehicle brake system was studied. For the performance evaluation of on-off solenoid, electromagnetic characteristics and dynamic characteristics are analyzed.

There are many kinds of transmissions for construction vehicles use such as ordinary manual transmission. semi-automatic transmission, automatic transmission, full HST(Hydro-Static Transmission) and HST in combination with a mechanical transmission. As the object of this study, a transmission system with the style of HST in combination with mechanical semi-automatic transmission for application in hydraulic wheel excavators was chosen. A new type power shift control systcm for improving the dynamic characteristics of the object transmission was proposed. The excellency of the transmission with the new type power shift control system was verified by experiments on the simulator developed in this study.
Micro Valve with Functional Actuator

Piezoelectric(PZT) actuator can substitute for solenoid which is used in fluid control field because it has faster response times and no possibility of explosion. Besides, it is available in a high temperature and it has low energy consumption.<br/> In this study, pneumatic micro valve, bimorph type PZT actuator using the softner type PZT, carbon plate as a shim and its controller circuit were suggested and investigated. Performance tests and characteristics analysis, such as displacement, force, hysteresis and frequency properties, were carried out. The displacement of the actuator measured at the end point was 63 ㎛, force of the actuator was 0.052 N and maximum operating frequency was 15Hz. Also, characteristics of the micro valve with PZT actuator were evaluated in a testing system. The results show that the suggested PZT actuator is suitable for micro valve.

The purpose of this paper is to improve the hysteresis characteristics of a stack type piezoelectric actuator using system identification and tracking control. Recently, several printing methods that cost less and are faster than previous semiconductor processes have been developed for the production of electric paper and RFID. The system proposed in this study prints by spraying the molten metal, and consists of a nozzle, heating furnace, operating actuator, and an XYZ 3-axis stage, As an operating system, the piezoelectric(PZT) method has very valuable uses. However, the PZT actuator has a very big hysteresis characteristic due to the ferroelectric characteristics of the PZT element. This causes problems in the system position control characteristics and deteriorates the performance of the system. In this study, an investigation was conducted to improve the hysteresis characteristics of the PZT actuator that has an output displacement for the input voltage. The study proposed a inverse hysteresis model, a mathematic modeling method that can express the geometric relationship between voltage and displacement, in order to reduce the hysteresis of the PZT actuator. In addition, system identification and PID control methods were examined
