        한일 관계의 현주소와 해법의 모색

        Next year marks the 50th anniversary of the normalization of relations between Japan and Korea. In addition, 70 years have already passed since the end of the Pacific War. However, the bilateral relationship seems to have returned to where it was before the establishment of diplomatic relations. The two countries are in conflict due to several issues related to the perception of history. As a result, a bilateral summit has not been held, although over a year has passed since the change of government in both nations. Korea and Japan share universal values such as democracy, market economy and respect for human rights, and share a duty to cooperate not only for the security and prosperity of Northeast Asia but also for world peace. The two countries should promptly find a solution to heal their strained bilateral relationship. To this end, the two nations should identify the reason for their deteriorating relationship and come up with solutions for the next 50 years. The "Treaty on Basic Relations" signed in 1965 does not include Japan's apologies or regret for the colonization of Korea. The "Agreement on the Settlement of Property and Claims" does not deal with the problem of "comfort women" or wartime sex slaves, which is currently a hot issue. The territorial issue of "Dokdo"was not solved by the normalization treaty and now poses the most difficult problem in our bilateral relations. Nevertheless, Korea-Japan relations have greatly improved over the past 50 years. Japan apologized for the comfort women issue in the 1993 "Kono Statement" and expressed deep regret for its wartime transgressions in the 1995 "Murayama Statement." Based on these two statements, the two countries announced a landmark "New Partnership towards the Twenty-first Century" in 1998. In the meantime, the Republic of Korea has emerged as a middle power and China has overtaken Japan as the world's second largest economic power, a result of its rapid economic growth over the last 20 years. As a result, the balance of power in the Northeast Asia region that had been maintained for more than a century since the China-Japan war in 1894 is now shifting. The Abe administration is attempting to reverse the previous administrations' stance on historical views under the slogan of "a departure from the postwar regime." The administration in Tokyo seems to insist that Japan is also a victim of the Pacific War. But there is no doubt, at least among Koreans and Chinese, that Japan is a perpetrator. By signing the Treaty of San Francisco with Japan in 1951, the United States settled postwar issues, but it did not take rigorous punitive measures against the defeated nation. Instead, the U.S. seemed to focus on joining Japan in containing the spread of communism and tried to stabilize the country as soon as possible. The U.S. actively supported Japan's postwar recovery at the time ofthe outbreak of the Korean War. In consequence, Japan did not have an opportunity to clear up its militarist past by itself and concentrated its efforts on economic revival. The issue of historical perception is critical to the improvement of Korea-Japan relations. It is only natural for Korea to be extremely sensitive to the issue since the country endured Japan's colonial rule. Over 70years have passed since the end of the war and many Japanese do not know of past affairs. History must not be forgotten, but we should not make the mistake of becoming blinded by failing to look to the future. Abalanced view on history, reality and the future is required. Korea cannot survive alone inthe rapidly changing circumstances of Northeast Asia: the geopolitical position of the Korean Peninsula will not change. Korea should always consider its relationship with its four neighboring power nations. Significantly, Korea-Japan relations also directly affect Korea-US relations.

        팝아트를 활용한 레트로디자인 연구

        본 연구는 팝아트를 활용한 레트로디자인 작업 시 어떻게 컨셉을 표현할 수 있을까를 이론적 고찰과 사례로 조사하고 작품제작에 응용할 수 있도록 제안하는 것을 목표로 진행하였다. 사례조사 결과 대중적인 이미지를 반영한 컨셉과 대중의 영웅을 표현한 컨셉에서는 팝아트의 특징을 단순하게 재현하였고, 정치적 삶에 드러난 상처를 표현한 컨셉은 조사된 사례가 없었다. 디자인의 각 영역에 대한 사례의 가장 큰 특징은 팝아트의 이념보다는 팝아트의 표현양식에 주로 치중한 점을 알 수 있었다. 원색을 사용하여 밝고, 경쾌한 분위기로 표현하거나, 반복적인 표현, 컴바인과 콜라주 기법, 실크스크린, 만화, 과장된 오브제로 표현하는 것 등이 다양하게 재현되었다. 그러나 팝아트를 활용한 레트로디자인은 팝아트의 단순한 재현이 아니라 팝아트의 이념과 조형적 재해석이 디자이너의 창의성과 만나 현대적으로 표현되어야 한다. 따라서 글로벌화 되어 있는 미디어나 이미지의 홍수 시대에 대중의 일상에 대한 탐색, 대중의 여가나 오락 및 환상의 결합을 활용하여 컨셉을 설정하고 팝아트의 표현양식을 적용하는 것이 필요하다. This study is considered how retro design concepts that are used pop art can be expressed through overview of theories and cases, and suggested applying to retro design. As a result, we found first, concepts reflecting popular image, second, popular hero concepts simply represented pop art's feature. Third, there were no cases that are expressing the wounds made by political life. The most of cases expressed retro design with pop art representation techniques rather than reflecting of pop art’s ideology or spirit. Pop art’s retro design should be expressed as a modern style not only with reproduction of pop art, but also with designer’s creativity and pop art’s ideology and reinterpretation of formative meaning. Thus, it needs to set a concept by exploring of modern globalized mass media or daily life of people. Also, it should applying people’s entertainment, spare time and fantasy to bright cheerful mood of pop art to express each area of design.

        혼화재 및 섬유 콘크리트의 비파괴 실험에 의한 장기재려 강도 추정

        This study made cylindrical specimen and core tube specimen of concrete using admixture and estimated their strength of long-term age (4years) through non-destructive and destructive testings. As a result, comparing error rates between conventional equations and estimation equations showed what there are a little differences by age, simultaneously error rate of this study was 0.6%~18.6% reduced to 0.3%~15.5% when compared to conventional equations by re-bound hammering ultrasound velocity method and 0.6%~34.2% was obtained by complex method and it is judged that it is desirable to be used for concrete using admixture and fiber. Since application of existing expression of normal concrete against concrete using admixtures causes error rate, this study suggests that following estimation expression depending on the kind of admixtures of concrete using them and position of non-destructive experiment. In addition, the estimation equation by this study showed that higher error rates in 7~14 days of age than other ages and it is considered that a method to reduce the error rate in early age that needs to be devised.

      • 인간 기관지 평활근 세포에서 Dexamethasone의 PDGF와 TGF-β에 의해 증강된 Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor 생성 억제 효과

        목 적 : 인간 기관지 평활근 세포는 천식에서 기관지 운동의 톤을 조절할 뿐만 아니라 기도의 면역조절과 기도개형에서 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. VEGF는 다양한 기능을 가지고 있는 사이토카인으로 천식양 표현형을 유도하며 염증, 부종, 혈관 개형, 점액질 화생(mucus metaplasia), 상피세포하 섬유화, 기도 항원 감작 그리고 항원유도 Th2 염증 반응을 일으킨다. 또한 TGF-β는 기도개형에서 인간 기관지 평활근세포의 성장을 조절하는 중요한 사이토카인으로 알려져 있으나 천식 기도개형에서의 역할은 명확하지 않다. 본 연구에서는 배양된 기관지 평활 근 세포에서 dexamethasone이 PDGF와 TGF-β의 자극에 의한 VEGF의 분비에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 방 법 : 10% FCS-DMEM 배지에서 배양된 사람 기관지 평활근세포를 48시간 동안 무혈청 배지에서 성장을 정지시킨 후 dexamethasone (10(-5), 10(-6) M)와 TGF-β(10 ng/mL)로 전처치하였다. 16시간 후 PDGF(20 ng/mL)로 자극하여 24시간 뒤 배양 상층액을 추출 후 VEGF의 ELISA 측정 전까지 영하 80도에 보관하였다. 결 과 : 1)PDGF 자극 후 VEGF의 분비는 대조군에 비하여 의미있는 상승을 보였다(803.14±155.15 pg/mL vs. 376.53±59.41 pg/mL, P<0.01). 2) TGF-β 전처치 후 PDGF로 자극하였을 경우에 TGF-β로 전처치하지 않았을 경우보다 의미있는 VEGF의 상승을 보였다(1,318.96±184.77 pg/mL vs. 803.14±155.15 pg/mL, P< 0.01). 3) Dexamethasone(10(-5), 10(-6) M)은 PDGF로 자극했을 경우와(208.76±78.56 pg/mL vs. 803.14±155.15 pg/mL, 303.56±39.29 pg/mL vs. 803.14±155.15 pg/mL respectively, P< 0.01), TGF-β로 전처치 후 PDGF로 자극했을 경우 모두에서 VEGF의 생성을 억제했다(751.91±209.61 pg/mL vs. 1,318.96±184.77 pg/mL, 204.5±78.56 pg/mL vs. 1,318.96±184.77 pg/ mL respectively, P<0.01). 결 론 : PDGF와 TGF-β는 VEGF 분비를 증가시킴으로써 기도개형에 관여하는 중요한 사이토카인으로 생각되며 글루코코르티코이드는 기관지 평활근세포에서 VEGF의 생성을 조절함으로써 천식 기도개형에 특징 중의 하나인 신생혈관 형성을 억제할 수 있다고 사료된다. Purpose : Human bronchial smooth muscle cell(HBSMC) plays an important role in the remodeling of the airways in asthma. Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) is a multifunctional cytokine, which induces edema, angiogenesis, vascular remodeling, mucus metaplasia, subepithelial fibrosis, and antigen-induced Th2 inflammation. Transforming growth factor-beta(TGF-β) is a growth modulator of HBSMC and an important cytokine in airway remodeling. We investigated the effect of dexamethasone on the release of VEGF from HBSMC stimulated with platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF) and TGF-β. Methods : HBSMC cultured in 10 percent FCS-DMEM media was growth-arrested in serum-deprived medium for 48 hours. Dexamethasone and TGF-β were added and incubated for 16 hours before stimulation with PDGF. After 24 hours of stimulation, culture medium was harvested and stored at -80℃ until ELISA for VEGF was performed. Results : The release of VEGF was significantly increased after stimulation with PDGF (P<0.01). The production of VEGF pretreated with TGF-β before stimulation with PDGF was higher than those without TGF-β pretreatment(P<0.01). Dexamethasone suppressed the release of VEGF in HBSMC stimulated with PDGF(P<0.01), TGF-β and PDGF(P<0.01). Conclusion : PDGF and TGF-β may be one of the key mediators in inducing airway remodeling and glucocorticoid, and can be used as useful therapies to prevent airway vascular remodeling by modulating the VEGF on airway smooth muscle cells.         하이브리드 섬유 혼입 고강도 콘크리트의 내화 및 역학적 특성에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 고강도 콘크리트의 화재시 내화성능 확보를 위하여 주로 사용되는 강섬유(Steel Fiber), 폴리프로필렌(Polypropylene Fiber; 이하PP)와 PP섬유와 강섬유를 하이브리드 섬유를 혼입한 설계기준강도 40MPa의 고강도 콘크리트의 내화성능 및 폭렬 방지 방법을 검토하고, 섬유 혼입 고강도 콘크리트 보의 휨 및 전단보강근이 없는 보의 구조적 특성 연구를 통하여 섬유 혼입 고강도 콘크리트 보의 휨과 전단 저항거동을 파악하였다. 실험결과, 하이브리드 섬유를 보강하면 균열 및 폭렬 발생, 중성화 억제 효과 등을 나타내었다. 부재실험에서는 초기균열제어, 연성과 최대내력 증대의 효과를 나타내었다. In this paper, by using steel fiber, polypropylene fiber and these two hybrid fibers, the fire resistance performance and explosive properties of High Strength Concrete (HSC) with specified compressive strength of 40MPa are discussed. The paper also examines the bending resistance of the beam and the shearing resistance properties of non-reinforced HSC beam. This research helps to clarify the fire resistance of fiber HSC and its anti-explosion methods. The test results show that crack generation, explosion and carbonization can be effectively restrained when HSC is mixed with hybrid fibers under high temperature; furthermore, the maximum internal force and ductility are increased and the initial cracking can be restrained in the mechanical test.

        하이브리드 섬유 보강 고강도 콘크리브 보의 구조적 특성에 관한 연구

        In this study a hybrid high-strength concrete mixed with polypropylene fiber and steel fiber was produced to ensure ductility of high-strength reinforced concrete and to prevent explosive spalling in fire. we conducted number of experiments with this specimen and examined fire-resistant property and structural characteristics of fiber on high-strength concrete. As a result, bending test of fiber mixed beam member, standard specimen and hybrid specimen showed similar yield strength and maximum load. Hybrid specimen showed high initial crack load and it was effective in controlling initial crack with fiber mixture. In case of bending specimens, ductility of hybrid specimen was higher than that of non-mixture specimen of fiber. In addition, standard specimen showed brittle behavior after maximum tensile strength, but hybrid specimen showed ductile behavior. As a result of shear test on mixed fiber beam member, hybrid specimen was showed 38% increase of tensile strength when compared to standard specimen. Shear specimens ductility of hybrid specimen was 115% higher than that of standard specimen.
