        잡지의 주거재현방식에 관한 연구 - 건축잡지와 여성잡지의 텍스트의 형식과 내용비교를 중심으로 -

        This study aims to examine the way in which magazines represent housings, since magazines are one of major channel to connect individual houses with the public including professionals and the mass as well. Not only the professional architectural magazine but also women's magazine produce discourses which exercise huge influences on the public's understanding of the housings. After examining the different ways of representing housings in the houses related articles of architectural magazine and women's magazine, serious discrepancies have been noticed in both form and content of the text. In representing housings, women's magazine uses headlines and standfirsts with various modifiers to enhance the chance of interventions of the magazine/journalists. Focusing of the interests upon residents and architects, women's magazines force the reader to look at the housings through the frame of social status and celebrity of the residents and architects marginalizing actual houses. On the other hand, architectural magazines adopt externalized and objective way of representation using minimum layout elements following relatively uniform editing format. The abstract, rigid and masculine way of representation in the architectural magazines endow the published housings with the masculine and normative senses which can be seen as some sorts of aura which obstruct easy access to the housings themselves.

        상업가로 활성화 요인으로서 가로시설물과 알렉산더 패턴언어에 관한 연구

        The urban public spaces, such as pedestrian streets, parks and plazas, have been increased with rapid urbanization and industrialization. But the fact is the satisfied spaces with the behavior patterns of users is little. This is because of the too much slanted thought toward formal supply and management of spaces without enough consideration for people and spatial quality of public spaces. The purpose of this study is to find out the factors to make the street more vital and diverse and to give the characteristic of region through the research on Gwangbok street, one of the street demonstration project area in 2005, with the pattern language of Christopher Alexander. The results are summarized as follows; First, street furnitures encourage vitality of streets by accepting secondary functions. Second, most pattern languages of urban/architecture/structure are related with street furnitures and increase utilization. Lastly, the frequent appeared pattern languages in street furnitures have the feature that these have trees, sitting spaces for waiting and walkable environment. But, if people do not use spaces actively, the design will become the useless or meaningless pattern language. So, it is essential to try to find out which street furniture makes a relationship with people and causes human activities based on the pattern languages.

        식민시대 하노이의 제국주의적 경관

        The history of Vietnam is dotted with many invasions from outside and Vietnamese' heroic resistances against them. The most powerful influence on the modern city of Hanoi had come from French Colonialism since 1874. From then on, French Colonialism had destroyed traditional pre-colonial cityscapes of Hanoi and tried to integrate the whole city under the French order. French colonialism used the vistas of streets focused on the monumental buildings to show the superiority of French culture and civilization in the everyday urban space. This study has identified some distinctive districts which is strongly connected with aspects of Modernity. In specific district, there are closely located some public and monumental buildings of the similar function and characteristic. After analyzing the historical change of streets in Hanoi, this study argues that the French Colonialism used scattered, or rather, impromptu vistas by means of relatively short streets instead of grand vistas due to lack of financial support and continuity of colonial governments.

        식민지 수도 하노이의 제국주의적 경관

        베트남의 수도 하노이는 1010년 리씨 왕조에 의해 수도로 선택된 후 19세기 초반까지 역대 왕조의 수도로서 베트남의 자부심을 상징하는 도시였다. 본 연구는 베트남의 역사적 도시였던 하노이에 19세기 후반 프랑스 제국주의가 침략하면서 인도차이나 연방의 수도에 어울리는 도시경관을 구축했던 다양한 방식을 드러내고자 했다. 특히 인상적인 도시경관을 구성하는데 중요한 역할을 담당했던 공공기념물과 공공건축에 주목하였으며, 당시의 사진과 지도를 분석함으로써 다음과 같은 사실들을 발견하였다. 구상적인 형태에 기반하는 공공기념물은 첫째, 프랑스 혹은 인도차이나 연방이라는 국가, 둘째, 인도차이나 식민지배와 관련된 프랑스인, 셋째, 프랑스가 참전한 전쟁 등 세 가지 주제를 조형으로 표현하면서, 프랑스에 의한 식민지배의 정당성과 필요성을 설득하였음을 발견하였다. 식민지 시대 하노이의 인상적인 도시경관을 지배한 것은 도시 곳곳에서 확인할 수 있는 길과 공공건축으로 구성된 비스타의 경관이었다. 식민시대 발간된 시대별 지도를 통해 공공건축과 주변의 가로가 형성되는 과정을 추적함으로써, 하노이의 비스타 경관은 다음과 같은 교묘한 방식을 통해 도시공간 속에 장치되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 첫째, 단부가 막혀 있는 가로, 혹은 중간에 꺾여 있는 가로를 활용하여 공공건축을 배치하였다. 둘째, 기존의 도로 중간 구간을 폐도하고 공공건축을 배치하여 비스타 가로로 전환하였다. 셋째, 공공건축이 비스타의 초점이 되도록 정면에 새로운 도로를 신설하였다. 넷째, 도로의 양 단부에 공공건축을 배치하여 이중의 비스타를 형성하였다. 다섯째, 새로운 공공공간을 추가 확보하여 공공공간의 중심축을 건물축과 일치시킨다. 이런 다양한 방식으로 구축된 비스타는 도시의 가로를 따라 이동하는 사람들의 시각을 전유할 수 있었다. 특히 하노이의 비스타 경관이 특정한 하나의 마스터플랜에 의해 만들어진 것이 아니라 오랜 시간에 걸쳐 개별적이지만 지속적으로 구축되었다는 점은 매우 주목할 만하다. 프랑스의 식민지배가 하노이의 도시공간 속에서 어떻게 경관으로 구축되었는지 분석한 본 연구는 식민지 시대 아시아 도시를 이해하고, 더 나아가 식민지 시대 형성된 도시공간과 경관을 여전히 품고 있는 현재의 아시아 도시에 대한 다양한 독해방식의 하나가 되기를 기대한다. Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, has been the symbol of national pride since it had been decided as the capital in 1010 by Ly Dynasty until early 19c. This study aims to disclose various ways of constructing townscapes of Hanoi suitable for the capital city of Indochinese Union after French imperialisms invasion in late 19c. Focused on the public monuments and public buildings which played important role to construct impressive townscapes, this study analyzed photos and maps of colonial era and found following results. The public monuments based on figurative forms expressed three subjects like, first, the nation of France or Indochinese Union, second, the french persons related to Indochinese colonial domination, third, the wars of France. The dominating townscapes of colonial Hanoi were vistas consisting of streets and public buildings throughout the city. By tracing the process of constructing the public buildings and surrounding streets through the maps published in various periods of colonialism, the vistas in colonial Hanoi were found to have been constructed in various tactful ways as following. First, the public building was arranged using the one-ended street or bended street to create vista effect. Second, public building was placed in the middle of existing street to create vista. Third, new short street was constructed in front of public building to make the building as focus of vista. Fourth, public buildings were placed at both ends of a street to make a double vista. Fifth, new public space was constructed to make the central axis of the public space coincide with the axis of public building. The vistas created by above mentioned various ways were able to exclusively attract public gaze of the people moving along urban streets. It is notable that the vistas of Hanoi had been constructed individually and persistingly over in a long time without conforming to any particular master plan. This study, which has analyzed the way and process how the French colonialism had been embodied as townscapes in urban space of Hanoi, is expected to expand the understanding of Asian cities of colonial period and to provide a new way of reading contemporary Asian cities which still contain the urban space and townscape constructed during colonial period.
