      • YBCO 박막형 초전도 한류소자의 ?치 회복 특성에 관한 연구

        For the application of superconducting fault current limiters (SFCLs) to the protection system, quench recovery characteristics of Au/YBCO thin film were investigated. The Au/YBCO thin film was designed as a SFCL element with a bi-spiral pattern. The SFCL element limited the fault current successfully. For the analysis of the recovery to superconducting state, we measured resistance variation of the SFCL element after the quench. In addition, in order to investigate the dependence of quench characteristics of SFCL on the LN₂ cooling condition, we measured the recovery time under a pressure of 1, 2 and 3 atm. As the results, the recovery time increased in proportion to the duration of the fault currents. In the sub-cooled condition, while the quench development was exactly the same, the recovery time was shortened as the pressure increased.

        Vacuum interrupters in order to be used in various switch-gear components such as circuit breakers, distribution switches, contactors, etc. spread the arc uniformly over the surface of the contacts. The electrodes of vacuum interrupters are made of sinter-forged Cu-Cr materials for good electrical and mechanical characteristics. Since the closing velocity is 1-2m/s and impact deformation of the electrode depends on the strain rate at that velocity, the dynamic behavior of the sinter-forged Cu-Cr is a key to investigate the impact characteristics of the electrodes. The dynamic response of the material at the high strain rate is obtained from the split Hopkinson pressure bar test using disc-type specimens. Experimental results from both quasi-static and dynamic compressive tests are Interpolated to construct the Johnson-Cook model as the constitutive relation that should be applied to simulation of the dynamic behavior of the electrodes. The impact characteristics of a vacuum interrupter are investigated with computer simulations by changing the value of five parameters such as the initial velocity of a movable electrode, the added mass of a movable electrode, the wipe spring constant, initial offset of a wipe spring and the virtual fixed spring constant.

        보행자안전지수 개발 : 경남도를 중심으로

        보행은 인간의 기본적이면서 중요한 교통수단이다. 최근 보행자 사고와 관련하여 보행안전이 중요시 되고 있지만, 보행자 안전에 대한 노력과 관심은 매우 미미한 실정으로 경남의 보행안전의 계획 수립과 보행사고의 감소 및 예방을 위해 사용될 보행자안전지수를 개발할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 보행자 안전에 영향을 크게 미치는 인구 10만명당 5년 평균보행자 사고, 인구10만명당 2009년 보행자사고, 횡단보도 신호 준수율, 무단 횡단율, 14세 이하 어린이 및 65세 이상 노인인구 2009년 보행자사고의 5개 인지를 사용하여 경상남도의 10개시를 대상으로 보행지안전지수를 개발하였다. 이 지수는 100점 만점으로 환산하며 점수가 높을수록 보행자안전이 양호함을 나타낸다. 창원시, 김해시, 마산시의 보행자안전이 양호한 반면 사천시, 통영시의 보행자안전은 열악한 것으로 분석되었다. 통영시의 보행자안전지수가 낮은 것은 높은 보행자사고율에 기인하며 사천시는 5년 평균보행자사고와 어린이 및 노인 보행지사고율이 높고 무단 횡단율이 높은데 기인함을 볼 수 있다. 경남도 10개 군의 보행자안전지수를 산정하면 함양군과 합천군의 보행지안전이 양호한 반면 함안군, 하동군, 고성군의 보행자 안전이 열악한 것으로 분석 되었다. Walking is basic and important means of transportation for human. Although recently safety for pedestrians relating to traffic safety is considered to be important, efforts and interest for pedestrian safety are very unsatisfactory. Thus, it is needed to develop a pedestrian safety index which could be used to plan pedestrian safety program and to reduce/prevent pedestrian accidents. In this study, the Pedestrian Safety Index about 10 cities in Gyeongnam Province was developed using 5 factors highly influencing on pedestrian safety, which are the five year average pedestrian accidents per 100,000 population, the year 2009 pedestrian accidents per 100,000 population, crosswalk signal obey rate, jaywalking rate, and the year 2009 pedestrian accidents for children under 14 years and the elderly over 65 years. The perfect score for the index is 100. As the score becomes nearer to 100, pedestrian safety becomes better. The pedestrin safeties of Changwon, Gimhae and Masan are good and those of Sachon and Tongyong are bad. Tongyong’s low score at the index is due to high pedestrian accidents rate only and Sachon’s low score is due to high pedestrian accidents rate and jaywalking. At the pedestrian safety index of 10 counties of Gyeongnam Province, the pedestran safeties of Hamyang and Hapchon are good and those of Haman, Hadong and Gosung are bad.

      • 배전급 초전도 한류기 개발을 위한 Bi-2212 초전도 한류소자의 사고전류 제한 특성

        We investigated fault current limitation characteristics of the resistive superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) which consisted of a Bi-2212 bulk coil and a shunt coil. The Bi-2212 bulk coil and the shunt coil were connected in parallel. The Bi-2212 bulk coil was placed inside the shunt coil to induce field-assisted quench. The fault test was conducted at an input voltage of 200 V<SUB>rms</SUB> and fault current of 12 ㎄<SUB>rms</SUB> and 25 ㎄<SUB>rms</SUB>. The fault conditions were asymmetric and symmetric, and the fault period was 5 cycles. The test results show that the SFCL successfully limited the fault current of 12 ㎄<SUB>rms</SUB> and 25 ㎄<SUB>rms</SUB> to below 5.5 ~ 6.9 ㎄<SUB>peak</SUB> within 0.64 ~ 2.17 msec after the fault occurred. Limitation was faster under symmetric fault test condition due to the larger change rate of current. We concluded that the speed of fault current limitation was determined by the speed of current rise rather than the amplitude of a short circuit current. These results show that the Bi-2212 bulk coil is suitable for distribution-class SFCLs.
