1996년 9월 16일에 중국산 해만가리비 (Argopecten irradians)를 전라남도 장흥군 득량만 해역에 이식한 후 1997년 8월까지 연승수하식으로 양성하면서 생식주기에 관한 조사를 하였다. 연체부 및 폐각근 중량지수의 월별 변화는 10월부터 증가되기 시작하여 11월에 각각 연중 최고치 (48.6 및 36.2)를 보인 후 12월부터 8월까지 점차 감소하였다. 생식소중량지수는 3월에 증가하기 시작하여 4월에 최대 (20.3)에 이른 후 5월부터 12월까지 점차 감소하였다. 우리나라 남해안에 이식된 해만가리비의 생식주기는 초기활성기 (10∼2월), 후기활성기 (11∼5월). 완숙기 (2∼5월), 산란기(5∼6월), 퇴화 및 비활성기 (6∼8월)의 연속적인 5단계로 구분할 수 있었으며, 산란성기는 수온 18℃ 내외인 5월이었다. Reproductive cycle of the bay scallop, Argopecten irradians, transplanted from China on 16 August 1996, was investigated monthly until August 1997 in the Deukyang Bay, Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, Korea. Sexuality of this species is hermaphrodite and oviparous. Monthly changes in the soft part weight index and adductor muscle weight (g) began to increase from October and reached the maximum in November, and then the values gradually decreased from December to August. The gonadosomatic index (GI) began to increase in March and reached the maximum in April. Thereafter, the values gradually decreased from May to December. The reproductive cycle of this species, transplanted in the south coast of Korea could be divided into 5 successive stages; early active (October to February), late active (November to May), ripe (February to May), spawning (May to June) with a peak in May, and spent/inactive stage (June to August).
실내 수조에서 북방전복과 해삼의 복합사육에 따른 생존과 성장

2011년 4월 20일부터 7월 15일까지 전복배합사료와 건다시마를 먹이원으로 한 북방전복과 해삼의 실내 복합사육에서 생존율과 성장에 어떠한 영향을 받는지 관찰하였다. 실험에 사용된 북방전복의 크기는 각장 $28.54{\pm}1.23mm$, 전중량 $2.92{\pm}0.26g$ 이었고, 해삼은 습중량 $3.0{\pm}0.2g$ 이었다. 먹이는 전복배합사료 실험구, 건다시마 실험구 및 전복배합사료와 건다시마 혼합 실험구로 설정하였다. 북방전복과 해삼의 생존율은 모든 실험구에서 각각 97.0%, 87.0% 이상을 보였다. 북방전복의 생존율은 건다시마 실험구에서 가장 높은 반면 해삼은 가장 낮았지만 유의적인 차이는 보이지 않았다. 성장은 북방전복의 경우 전복배합사료 실험구에서, 해삼의 경우 전복배합사료와 건다시마를 동시에 공급한 실험구에서 가장 빨랐다. The present study investigated survival and growth of the abalone, Haliotis discus hannai and sea cucumber, Stichopus japonicus co-cultured and supplied with abalone formula feed (AFF) and dry sea tangle (DST) in indoor tank. During the experimental period from April 20 to July 15 in 2011, we used abalone with shell length of $28.54{\pm}1.23mm$ and total weight of $2.92{\pm}0.26g$. The sea cucumber used in the experiment weighed $3.0{\pm}0.2g$ in wet weight. For the experiment, 3 types of feeds including AFF, DST and AFF-DST mixed (1:1) group were supplied to abalone and sea cucumber. During the experiment, survival of abalone reached over 97.0% and 87.0% for sea cucumber in three experimental tanks. Survival of the abalone was found to be higher in DST group, while it was lower among sea cucumber, although the survival was not significantly different among three experimental group. Growth of abalone fed with AFF was significantly higher, while the growth rate of sea cucumber was highest in the tank fed with AFF+DST mixed diet (P < 0.05).
제주도산 소라 (Batillus cornutus) 성패의 특정 해조류에 대한 선호도

This paper examines relation between growth of adult top shell and their selectivity over different marine algae. For the study the top shell density and the algal species in different depth were surveyed by SCUBA. To test selectivity over different types of algae, five algal species including Ecklonia cava, Undaria pinnatifida, Ulva spp, Gelidium amansii and Sargassum spp were provided to top shells in indoor water tank condition. In the field survey, the wet weight of Ecklonia cava was significantly (r = 0.612, p < 0.05) correlated to the shell length (SL) of top shell. In the indoor water tank experiment conducted over 12 hours after sunrise, adult top shell (SL > SL 4.5 cm) tended to select Ecklonia cava and Undaria pinnatifida, which are common and abundant algal in the subtidal waters in Jeju Island. Our field survey and the indoor experiment suggest that E. cava and U. pinnatifida could be food preferred by adult top shell in its habitat.

We studied two research items that can be undetermined issues in the artificial seed production of the Japanese scallops, Patinopecten yessoensis, batch-specific quality of the reproductive outputs and nursery acclimation, in the embayed waters of Yangyang, Gangwon, Korea. The first batch of the spawner showed better results in terms of survival, growth, and resistance against parasitic ciliate infection over the second batch that was obtained in 5 days after first batch from the same spawner. The early attached spats directly placed in the farming ground (the unacclimated) were resistant against the water current of the open environment, by showing survival of about 80% for a month, a normal survival compared with other results. However, the spat survival during the nursery acclimation was significantly lowered in comparison with that in the unacclimated condition (P<0.01). We discussed the research results of the two items, particularly focusing on their availability for mass seed production for aquaculture in the Korean coastal waters of the East Sea (Sea of Japan).

미더덕 육과 체액을 이용한 천연 조미료의 제조를 위하여 본래의 향과 가열에 따른 변화를 비교해보기 위하여 SDE법과 SPME법으로 미더덕 향기성분을 분석하였다. SDE 추출법으로 얻어진 미더덕 육에 함유된 주요 성분으로서는 hexanal 371.3 ㎍/g, 1-tridecanol 80.1 ㎍/g, (Z)-4,5-dimethyhex02-en-4-ol 72.1 ㎍/g 등이 있었고, 그 외 다량의 alcohol, aldehydes 및 acids가 얻어졌다. SDE 추출법으로 얻어진 alcohol은 농도도 높았지만 미더덕 육향기성분의 주체가 되는 것으로 나타났다. SPME 추출법으로 얻어진 미더덕 육에는 9종의 alcohols, 1종의 acid, 1종의 aldehyde, 1종의 hydrocarbon, 1종의 ester, 1종의 amine 및 2종의 ketones이 포함되어 있었다. 이들 중 함량이 가장 높았으며 그 중 1-nonanol, 1-decanol 및 1-tridecanol이 주성분이었다. SPME법으로 얻어진 향기성분중 1-nonanol 31.6 ㎍/g, (E)-2-butanoic acid dibutylester 20.3 ㎍/g 및 heptadecanoic acid 26.7 ㎍/g으로 전체 향기성분 추출물의 62.1%를 차지하였다. 따라서 SPME법으로 얻어진 향기성분이 SDE법보다 추출효율은 낮았지만 원래 향에 가까운 것으로 나타났다. The flavor extracts of Mideoduck muscle and its juices were concentrated by simultaneous distillation and extraction (SDE) and solid-phase microextraction (SPME) methods. Each component present in the extracts was identified with GC and GC-MS by the n-paraffin hydrocarbon retention index and standard MS library data system. By SDE, 371.3 ㎍/g of hexanal, 80.1 ㎍/g of 1-tridecanol, 72.1 ㎍/g of (Z)-4,5-dimethylhex-2-en-4-ol with other alcohols, aldehydes and acids were present in the flavor extracts, with the alcohols having the highest composition and being the most important factor in Mideoduck muscle flavor. By SPME, 9 alcohols, 1 acid, 1 aldehyde, 1 hydrocarbon, 1 ester, 1 amine and 2 ketones were detected in the extracts, with alcohol such as 1-nonanol, 1-decanol and 1-tridecanol as the major components. In SPME, the muscle sample, consisting of 31.6 ㎍/g of 1-nonanol, 20.3 ㎍/g of (E)-2-butenedioic acid dibutylester, and 26.7 ㎍/g of heptadecanoic acid made up the 62.1% of total flavor extracts of Mideoduck muscle. The results of the SPME methods were similar to the composition of the raw material flavor of the sample even at a low concentration.
