        계지복령환(桂枝茯笭丸), 소복축어탕(少腹逐瘀湯), 도홍사물탕(桃紅四物湯)이 메산지움세포 증식과 Fibronectin 합성에 미치는 영향(影響)

        In order to investigate the effects of Kaejibokryungwhan, Sobokchugeotang and Dohongsamultang on mesangial cell proliferation and fibronectin synthesis, laboratory study was performed. The results are summarized as follows; 1. Mesangial cell proliferation was significantly decreased in the Kaejibokryungwhan group and the Dohongsamultang group compared with the Control group. In the Sobokchugeotang group, the mesangia1 cell proliferation activity was lesser than Control group, but it was statistically non-significant. In Kaejibokryungwhan group, the Sobokchugeotang group and Dohongsamultang group, mesangial cell proliferation was significantly decreased compared with the Hydrocortisone group 2. In the group, which contained fetal bovine serum, fibronectin synthesis was decreased in the Kaejibokryungwhan group, the Sobokchugeotang group and Dohongsamultang group compared with Control group, but the difference was statistically non-significant. In Kaejibokryungwhan group, Sobokchugeotang group and Dohongsamultang group, fibronectin was less decreased compared with that of Hydrocortisone group. 3. In the group, which contained fetal bovine serum, fibronectin synthesis was significantly decreased in Kaejibokryungwhan group and Sobokchugeotang group than those of Control group. In Dohongsamultang group, the fibronectin synthesis was decreased than Control group, but the difference was statistically non-significant. In Sobokchugeotang group, the fibronectin synthesis was decreased than Hydrocortisone group, but it was statistically non-significant. According to the above results, the mesangial cell proliferation and fibronectin systhesis could be reduced by Kaejibokryungwhan group significantly.

        울금약침(鬱金藥針)이 백서(白鼠)의 간손상(肝損傷) 회복(恢復)에 미치는 영향(影響)

        These studies were carried out to observe the effect of Aqua-acupuncture with Woolgum extract on the recovery from liver injury of rats. The liver injury of rats induced with 0.5ml/200g carbon tetrachloride. The Aqua-acupuncture with Woolgum extract solution inserted into corresponding locus of the Kansu(BL18.) in Rats. Experimental group was divided into 4 groups: Normal group, $CCI_4$-intoxicated group, Saline treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated and Woolgum aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated. Biochemical assays for each serum enzyme activity of GOT, GPT, LDH, total protein, triglyceride, albumin, WBC, neutrophils, lymphocyte were performed. The results were as follows : 1. GOT was decreased with statistical significance in the Woolgum aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated. In GOT activity, the Woolgum aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated showed higher level significant compared with the saline aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated. 2. GPT was decreased with statistical significance in the Woolgum aqua-acupuncture treated after $CCI_4$-intoxicated. In GOT activity, the Woolgum aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated showed higher level significant compared with the saline aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated. 3. LDH was decreased with statistical significance in the Woolgum aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated. 4. Total protein increased with statistical significance in the Woolgum aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated. 5. Albumin was increased with statistical significance in the Woolgum aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated. The saline aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated was not recognized as compared with $CCI_4$-intoxicated group. 6. Triglyceride was increased with statistical significance in the Woolgum aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated. 7. WBC was decreased with statistical significance in the Woolgum aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated. In WBC count, the Woolgum aqua-acupuncture higher level significant compared with the saline aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated. 8. Lymphocyte was decreased with statistical significance in the Woolgum aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated. 9. Neutrophils was increased with statistical significance in the Woolgum aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated. The saline aqua-acupuncture treated group after $CCI_4$-intoxicated was not recognized as compared with $CCI_4$-intoxicated group. From above results, it is suggested that the Woolgum aqua-acupuncture had significant effects on the injury induced by $CCI_4$.

        소아 수면무호흡증 환아와 정상 소아에서 수면구조와 뇌파 양상 차이

        목 적:본 연구에서는 소아 수면무호흡증 환자의 수면구조와 뇌파특성을 성별, 연령이 짝 지워진 정상군과 비교하여 수면무호흡의 영향을 비교 분석하였다. 방 법:코골이 증상을 호소하고 소아과 의사의 임상소견상 수면무호흡증이 의심되는 15명(남:여=4:11)와 정상군 15명(남:여=5:10)을 대상으로 수면다원검사를 시행하였다. 두 군의 수면다원검사에서 얻어진 수면구조관련 변인, 수면무호흡관련 변인과 스펙트럼 분석을 통해서 얻어진 뇌파 주파수별 스펙트럼을 비교하였다. 결 과:수면무호흡증군은 정상군에 비해 무호흡지수, 호흡장애지수, 혈중산소포화도 최저값 등에서 뚜렷한 차이를 보였다. 수면무호흡증군은 수면구조 분석상 1단계 수면의 비율증가, 렘수면 비율 감소 소견을 보였으며 뇌파 스펙트럼 분석상 O1채널의 델타파 증가 소견 외에는 정상군과 차이를 보이지 않았다. 결 론:소아수면 무호흡의 경우, 진단기준의 특성상 수면 무호흡이 심하지 않은 경우가 많이 포함될 수 있으며, 그 결과 무호흡으로 인한 수면구조의 와해가 뚜렷하지 않았다. 또 각성 횟수도 성인수면 무호흡에 비해 적어서 뇌파변화도 뚜렷하지 않았다. 본 연구를 통해 소아수면 무호흡증의 일반적인 양상과 특수성을 관찰할 수 있었다. Introduction: In this study, we compared sleep structure, EEG characteristic of pediatric obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and normal controls which were matched in sex and age. Methods: Fifteen children (male:female=4:11) who complained snoring and were suspected to have sleep apnea and their age and sex matched normal controls (male:female=5:10) have been done nocturnal polysomnography (NPSG). Sleep parameters, sleep apnea variables and relative spectral components of EEG from NPSG have been compared between both groups. Results: Pediatric OSA group were distinguished from normal controls in terms of apnea index, respiratory disturbance index and nadir of oxyhemoglobulin desaturation. Pediatric OSA group showed increased percent of sleep stage 1, decreased rapid eye movement sleep percent and increased delta power in O1 EEG channel. However other sleep parameters and spectral powers were not different between two groups. Conclusion: In pediatric OSA group, sleep structure parameter disruption may be not prominent as the previous studies for adult OSA group because of including mild OSA data in diagnostic criteria. In addition, EEG changes might not be distinct due to low arousal index compared to adult OSA patients. We can observe general characteristics and particularity of pediatric OSA through this study.

      • 실시간 영상 감시를 위한 웹 카메라 시스템의 구현에 관한 연구

        본 논문에서는 인터넷 상에서 실시간 영상 감시를 위한 웹 카메라 시스템의 구조를 제안하고 구현하였다. 구현된 웹 카메라 시스템은 구현 방식에 따라 두 가지로 개발되었다. 첫 번째 시스템에서는 웹서버와 카메라 서버가 서로 동일한 시스템 상에서 구현되어 동작되도록 하였다. 이 시스템에서는 동영상 파일이 주기적으로 JPEG 파일로 압축되어 인터넷을 통하여 사용자에게 전달된다. 두 번째 시스템에서는 웹서버와 카메라 서버가 서로 다른 시스템에 구현되도록 하여 카메라 서버가 동영상 파일을 웹서버로 전송하면 최종적으로 웹서버에 접속한 사용자에게 동영상 파일을 전송하도록 하였다. JPEG으로 압축된 영상 이미지의 전송을 위하여 본 시스템은 자바 애플릿과 자바 스크립트를 사용하여 개발되었는데 이는 ActiveX나 스크립트 언어만을 사용한 경우보다 운영시스템과 브라우저에 독립적으로 동작할 수 있게 하기 위함이다. 본 논문에서 구현된 두 가지 구조의 시스템의 성능 비교를 위하여 각 시스템에 대하여 전송되는 데이터의 트래픽을 초당 바이트 단위로 측정하여 그 결과를 시뮬레이션 하였다. In this study, the architecture of the Web Camera System for realtime monitoring on Internet is proposed and implemented in two different structures. In the one architecture, a Web-server and a Camera-server are implemented on the same system, and the system transfers motion pictures compressed to JPEG file to users on the WWW(World Wide Web). In the other architecture, the Web-server and the Camera-server are implemented on different systems, and the motion pictures are transferred from the Camera-server to the Web-server, and finally to users. For JPEG image transferring in the Web Camera system, the Java Applet and the Java Script are used to maximize flexibility of the system from the Operating system and the Web browsers. In order to compare system performance between two architectures, data traffic is measured and simulated in the unit of byte per second.

        산삼과 산양삼 추출물의 항암 및 항산화 효능

        Objectives : The aim of this study was to verify anti-cancer and anti-oxidant efficacies of Korean wild ginseng and cultivated wild ginseng of Korea and China. Methods : For the measurement of anti-oxidation, SOD-like activity was evaluated using xanthine oxidase reduction method under in vitro environment. Subcutaneous and abdominal cancer were induced using CT-26 human colon cancer cells for the measurement of growth inhibition of cancer cells and differences in survival rate. Results : 1. Measurement of anti-oxidant activity of ginseng, Chinese and Korean cultivated wild ginseng, and natural wild ginseng samples showed concentration dependent anti-oxidant activity in HX/XOD system. Anti-oxidant activity showed drastic increase at 1mg/ml in all samples. 2. For the evaluation of growth inhibition of cancer cells after hypodermic implantation of CT-26 cancer cells in the peritoneal cavity of mice, Chinese and Korean cultivated wild ginseng and natural wild ginseng groups showed significant inhibition of tumor growth from the 12th day compared to the control group. Similar inhibitory effects were also shown on the 15th and 18th days. But there was no significant difference between the experiment groups. 3. For the observation of increase in survival rate of the natural wild ginseng group, CT-26 cancer cells were implanted in the peritoneal cavity of mice.

      • 기초 : 자살유전자를 이입한 사람 신경줄기세포를 이용한 악성 신경교종의 유전자 치료

        Introduction : Despite the advanced neurosurgical techniques and various multimodal therapeutic approach have been developed for malignant gliomas, these can not save the patients from the tumors due to infiltrating behavior of glioma cells. Here the authors investigated the possibility of treatment for the malignant gliomas with neural stem cell(HB1.F3) transduced with suicidal gene using the tropism of stem cells. Materials and Methods : E.coli cytosine deaminase(CD) is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of noncytotoxic 5- FC to the cytotoxic and radiosensitizing drug 5-FU. Cytotoxic 5-FU and its toxic metabolites can readily diffuse into surrounding tumor cells giving CD. HB1.F3 were transduced with retroviral vectors expressing the E.coli CD. Rats were implanted with U373MG, U251MG human glioblastoma(hGM) cell line and F3/CD were injected directly into the tumor mass 6 days later. The rats with tumors were injected IP 5-FC or saline daily for 7 days since 6 days after implantation of tumors. Results : HB1.F3 which were injected into the contralateral hemisphere to the tumor implantation site migrated through the corpus callosum to the tumor cells 3 days after hGM transplantation . The growth inhibition of 5-FU treated cells in comparison to untreated controls was remarkable in vitro. The tumor mass in the rats with transplantation of F3/CD were reduced markedly in size comparing to that with F3 after injection of 5-FC . Conclusions : The human neural stem cells can trace to the glioma cells in the rat brain. 5-FC systemic treatment with direct transplantation of F3/CD reduces tumor size. Our data indicates that suicide gene therapy using neural stem cells would be promising as a new therapeutic approach for malignant glioma.

        Congenital central hypoventilation syndrome (CCHS) is a rare disorder of central control of ventilation in which patients hypoventilate primarily during sleep, despite the presence of normal neuromuscular and pulmonary system. The pathophysiology of CCHS is unknown. Ondine`s curse has been linked to Hirschsprung`s disease, congenital neuroblastoma, ganglion-euroblastoma, lack of heart rate variability. It suggested that the respiratory, cardiac, intestinal abnormality might be the possibility of neuronal crest migrational abnormality in early embryonic development, resulting in disease complex including CCHS. (may be a form of the neurocristopathy) We experienced 1 day old male newborn who developed cyanosis, shallow respiration, abdominal distension, diagnosed as congenital central hypoventilation syndrome with total aganglionosis
