        근시성 맥락막혈관신생에서 선택적초시력시야계 결과분석

        Purpose: To analyze the hyperacuity defects of preferential hyperacuity perimeter (PHP) in myopic CNV and correlate with the other macular anatomical or physiological properties obtained with fluorescein angiography (FA), Optical coherence Tomography (OCT), and central perimeter. Methods: Seven patients with myopic CNV diagnosed by FA underwent PHP, OCT, central visual field (VF). We examined the locational correlation among FA, central VF and PHP hyperacuity defect and then compared PHP hyperacuity defect with the CNV size by OCT. Also we made a comparison with macular sensitivity change in VF and hyperacuity defects change in PHP after PDT in 4 patients. Results: All the 7 eyes with myopic CNV tested positive for hyperacuity defects. 5 eyes showed locational correlation among PHP and FA, central VF. The size of hyperacuity defect of PHP and CNV size by OCT was positive correlation (p=0.007). Four eyes treated with PDT showed decrease of PHP hyperacuity defect size and changes in location according to decrease of CNV size after PDT. Conclusions: Our results suggest that the PHP may be used to detect myopic CNV and beneficial for analyzing functional effect following PDT in myopic CNV patients. These results require further validation in a larger population.

        당뇨망막병증으로 인한 황반부종에서 트리암시놀론 안내주입술 후 발생한 망막중심동맥폐쇄 1예

        Purpose: We report a case of central retinal artery occlusion after two intravitreal injections of triamcinolone acetonide for diabetic macular edema due to non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy. Methods: A forty-six year old man with a ten-year history of DM visited our clinic because of diminished vision in his right eye (0.02). He received intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide for diabetic macular edema due to NPDR. After injection, he showed recovery of visual acuity (0.9) and decrease of macular edema. After two months, he received a second intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide injection because his visual acuity had diminished during the two-month period. Fifteen days after the second injection, visual acuity of his right eye suddenly diminished to no light perception. At this time, we performed fundus photograph, fluorescein angiography, and optical coherence tomography. Results: From the fundus exam, we diagnosed the patient with CRAO and prescribed an antithrombotic agent. Five month after the occlusion, visual acuity of the right eye improved 0.3, but generalized sclerosis of retinal vessels was present. Eight months after the occlusion, however he developed neovascular glaucoma and visual acuity of the right eye fell to the light perception negative range. Conclusions: We experienced a case of central retinal artery occlusion after intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide injection. Therefore, possible vascular complications should be considered following this type of injection.

        트리암시놀론 아세토나이드 안내주입술의 2년 장기효과

        Purpose: To evaluate the 2 year safety and efficacy of intravitreal injection of triamcinolone acetonide in macular edema associated with diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion. Methods: Medical records of patients who underwent an intravitreal injection of 4 milligrams of triamcinolone acetonide for macular edema due to diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion from September 2002 to March 2004 were reviewed retrospectively. Out of 108 eyes, 50 eyes, which allowed for continuous follow-up, were chosen. The measured results included visual acuity (ETDRS), macular thickness (OCT), intraocular pressure, formation or progression of cataract, and additional intervention. Results: Out of 50 eyes, 17 eyes (34%) showed steady improvement of visual acuity and macular thickness in during the follow up period. Out of 17 eyes, 15 eyes underwent additional laser photocoagulation before or after injection. Significant elevation of IOP developed in 5 eyes (10%). Cataract progressed in 7 phakic eyes (14%) required operation. Conclusions: Additional treatments such as laser photocoagualtion appear to enhance the duration of efficacy in intrvitreal triamcinolone for macular edema.

        초미세 분쇄 분말로 제조된 K<sup>+</sup>-beta-aluminas의 치밀화 연구

        대기압하에서 소결이 어렵다고 알려진 초이온 전도체인 $K^+$-beta-aluminas를 attrition mill을 이용하여 약 350 nm의 평균 입도를 가지는 분말로 분쇄한 후, 시편을 일축가압 성형하여 상압 하에서 동일조성의 분위기 분말을 이용하여 소결하였다. 소결온도는 $1400^{\circ}C{\sim}1650^{\circ}C$까지 $50^{\circ}C$ 간격으로 소결하였으며, 각 소결온도에서 시간에 따른 소결특성을 살펴보았다. 또한 고온에서 입자 성장 속도를 조절하기 위하여 $1600^{\circ}C$에서 zone sintering을 실시하였다. $1600^{\circ}C$와 $1650^{\circ}C$에서 소결한 경우와 $1600^{\circ}C$에서 zone sintering한 시편의 경우, 각각 약 93%와 95%의 소결 밀도를 나타내었다. $1600^{\circ}C$ 이상의 온도에서 2 h 이상 장시간 소결할 경우, 입자의 거대성장으로 인하여 소결밀도가 90% 미만으로 감소하였다. A super ionic conductor, $K^+$-beta-aluminas, which is known to be difficult to obtain in the form of dense sintered density under atmospheric pressure, was pulverized to 350 nm mean particle size using attrition mill. The sample were pressed into tablet form by uniaxial pressing. The specimen was sintered under atmospheric pressure in powder form. Sintering temperature range was $1400^{\circ}C$ to $1650^{\circ}C$ at $50^{\circ}C$ intervals. Additionally, zone sintering was carried out to control the growth grain at high temperature ($1600^{\circ}C$). The density of specimens that were sintered at $1600^{\circ}C$ and $1650^{\circ}C$, and sintered at $1600^{\circ}C$ by zone sintering were about 93% and 95%, respectively. In the case of the lengthened sintering time to 2 h, the density of specimen was reduced to lower than 90%, since the particles were grown to the duplex microstructure.

        PRAM을 위한 Ge-Se-Te 박막의 상변환 특성

        In this study, $Ge_8Se_{(2+x)}Te_{(6-x)}$ thin film amorphous-to-crystalline phase-change rate was evaluated in using a nano-pulse scanner. The focused laser beam with a diameter <10 ${\mu}m$ was illuminated in the power (P) and pulse duration (t) ranges of 1-31 mW and 10-460 ns, respectively, with subsequent detection of the responsive signals reflected from the film surface. We also evaluated the material characteristics, such as optical absorption and energy gap, crystalline phases, and sheet resistance of as-deposited and annealed films. The result of experiments showed that the thermal stability of the Ge-Se-Te film is largely improved by adding Se.

        Purpose: To evaluate the relationship between foveal thickness and axial length and refractive power in healthy Koreans. Methods: Ninety-eight healthy eyes were studied. The axial length was measured using A-scan (Paradigm mode p45, Kent, U.K.) and refractive power using automatic refractor Automatic refractor(HARK-599, Carl Zeiss, USA). The subjects were divided into 2 groups based on axial length (≥25 mm and <25 mm) and refractive power (≤-6.0D and >-6.0D). The foveal thickness was measured using OCT 3000 (Optical Coherence Tomography, Carl Zeiss, USA) and the statistical relationship between the 2 groups was analyzed by independent t-test. Results: There was no statistically significant difference found in foveal thickness according to axial length between the two groups (p>0.05) nor according to refractive power (p>0.05). Conclusions: When eyes with pathologic myopia were excluded, The axial length and refractive power of the eyes had no relation to foveal thickness measured by OCT.

        다기관 모집 외상 후 스트레스장애 환자에서 외상의 특성과 신체적 증상과의 관계

        Objective : The aim of this study is to examine the characteristics of somatic symptoms in patients with PTSD according to trauma type. Methods : The subjects of this study were 84 patients diagnosed with PTSD according to the DSM-IVTR and CAPS criteria. The subjects ranged in age from 18 to 76 years, and they were recruited from 18 hospitals across the nation. All participants were asked about their trauma history, and they all completed the Davidson Trauma Scale (DTS), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), Impact of Event Scale-Revised (IES-R) and Korean-Physical Somatic Symptom Inventory (K-PSI). The items of the K-PSI were categorized into 5 groups according to organ system, and the participants were classified into 6 groups according to trauma type. We compared the results of the social demographical scale, DTS, BDI, STAI, IES-R and each recategorized subscale of the K-PSI among the six groups. Results : There were significant differences between the 6 groups in terms of the Korean-Physical Somatic Symptom Inventory scores for each organ system, except for the cardiopulmonary system, as well as the BDI scores. Post hoc analysis revealed differences between the combat-related trauma group and all other groups but not among any of the other groups. Conclusion : Our result showed that there were significant differences in the somatic symptom scores among the 6 trauma groups. However, patient age and the time elapsed since the traumatic event may have hada crucial influence on the result of this study.

        고주파를 이용한 얼굴주름 치료효과

        Purpose: To evaluate the effect of radiofrequency device for treatment of facial rhytides. Methods: Twenty-three patients of more than 50 years of age with Glogau photoaging scale type Ⅲ, Ⅳ were included in this study. A Surgitron Dual Frequency device was used for facial rhytides, and a total of four treatment sessions spaced one week apart were performed. Clinical assessment was performed at one week, and at one, three, and six months after the last treatment session. The degree of objective & subjective improvement was determined using a five-step graded scale. Objective improvement was determined by two blinded assessors using before and after photographs. Subjective improvement was determined by questionnaire about rhytides improvement, patient satisfaction and prospect for another treatment session. Results: Significant improvement in facial rhitides was observed in the majority of patients until three months after treatment according to photography assessment. Self-estimation scores paralleled the photography scores and thus were also high until 3 months after treatment. Treatment of the periocular area was most effective. The procedure was associated with minimal downtime, and therewas no serious complication. Conclusions: treatment for facial rhitides using the Surgitron Dual Frequency device is effective in a relatively short time. This technology is a relatively easy treatment method because of the minimal downtime and minimal risk associated its use, making periodic repetition efficient for treating facial rhytides.         An amorphous $Ge_2Sb_2Te_5$ thin film is one of the most commonly used materials for phase-change data storage. In this study, $Au_x(Ge_2Sb_2Te_5)_{1-x}$ thin film amorphous-to-crystalline phase-change rate were evaluated in using 658 nm laser beam. The focused laser beam with a diameter <10 ${\mu}m$ was illuminated in the power (P) and pulse duration (t) ranges of 1-17 mW and 10-460 ns, respectively, with subsequent detection of the responsive signals reflected from the film surface. We also evaluated the material characteristics, such as optical absorption and energy gap, crystalline phases, and sheet resistance of as-deposited and annealed films. The result of experiments showed that the thermal stability of the $Ge_2Sb_2Te_5$ film is largely improved by adding Au.
