To design an optimum engine intake system, a flow model for the intake manifold was developed by the finite difference method. The flow in the intake manifold was one-dimensional, and the finite difference equations were derived from governing equations of flow, continuity, momentum and energy. The thermodynamic properties of the cylinder were found by the first law of thermodynamics, and the boundary conditions were formulated using steady flow model. By comparing the calculated results with experimental data, the appropriate boundary conditions and convergence limits for the flow model were established. From this model, the optimum manifold lengths at different engine operating conditions were investigated. The optimum manifold length became shorter when the engine speeds were increased. The effect of intake valve timings on inlet air mass was also studied by this model. Advancing intake valve opening decreased inlet air mass slightly, and the optimum intake valve closing was found. The difference in inlet air mass between cylinders was very small in this engine.
Thinking maps를 활용한 STEAM 프로그램 효과성 연구

이 연구의 목적은 Thinking maps를 활용한 STEAM 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과성을 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 초등학교 5-6학년의 교과서를 분석하여 Thinking maps를 활용한 STEAM 프로그램을 개발하였으며, 개발된 프로그램은 성남시 J초등학교 6학년 55명(실험집단: 28명, 통제집단: 27명)을 대상으로 6주에 걸쳐 진행되었다. 효과성 분석을 위해 실험집단과 통제집단 간의 메타인지, 과학흥미도 및 학습몰입도간에 유의한 차이가 있는지 공분산분석(ANCOVA)을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 통제집단에 비해 프로그램을 적용한 실험집단의 메타인지, 과학흥미도, 학습몰입도가 유의하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 즉, Thinking maps를 활용한 STEAM 프로그램은 초등학생의 메타인지, 과학흥미도, 학습몰입도에 긍정적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 Thinking maps를 활용한 STEAM 프로그램이 초등학생에게 효과적임을 실증적 데이터를 통해 입증하였다는데 그 의의가 있다. This study investigated the effectiveness of STEAM program using Thinking maps on school students regards metacognition, scientific interest, and flow of learning. Fifty-five 6th grade students participated in the study. In specific, twenty-eight among them participated STEAM program using Thinking maps for six weeks while the others were in the regular class as a control group. Pre-post survey with 77 items was conducted regarding metacognition(18 items), scientific interest(37 items), and flow of learning(22 items). To analyze the data statistically, ANCOVA(Analysis of Covariate) was used. As results, students in the STEAM program using Thinking maps group showed significant difference in all areas of the survey. In other words, students in the STEAM program using Thinking maps improved metacognition, scientific interest, and flow of learning significantly than those who were in the control group. Suggestions and ideas of further studies were discussed.
조직세포의 자동화된 암 진단을 위한 병리지식 기반의 온톨로지 진단프레임워크에 관한 연구

본 논문은 병리진단지식을 활용한 조직세포 영상의 암진단을 위한 온톨로지 기반의 진단 프레임워크를 제안한다. 병리진단 분야는 환자로부터 획득한 조직셈플을 전자현미경을 이용하여 조직의 구조적 특징과 형태학적특징을 기반으로 진단을 한다. 이러한 형태의 진단은 의사의 주관적인 경험에 많이 의존하기 때문에 같은 병증에 대해서도 의사들마다 다른 진단을 하게 된다. 최근 이러한 주관적인 경험에 의한 오진을 줄이고자 주어진 조직세포 영상의 형태학적 특징들의 정량적인 수치들을 이용하는 컴퓨터 보조진단(CAD)시스템들이 많이 이용되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 진단 시스템의 요소기법들은 하나의 병증만을 진단하는데 활용되기 때문에 구성기술의 재사용성은 매우 떨어진다. 따라서 본 논문은 요소기술들의 재활용성을 높이고, 객관화된 병리진단을 위한 온톨로지 기반의 진단 프레임워크를 제시한다.

Objectives:It is known that adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) often concurrently exhibit attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The objective of this study is to investigate how ADHD symptoms modify clinical characteristics in adolescents with ASD. Methods:Subjects were recruited from the Program for the Education Enrichment of Relational Skills program, which is a program for adolescents with ASD to promote and train social skills. The study participants and their parents completed the study questionnaires, such as the ADHD rating scale, Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, and Korean version of Child Behavior Checklist. Results:Adolescents with ASD and ADHD (N=19) were found to have more impaired sociality, less open communication with their parents, and more behavioral and emotional problems compared with adolescents with ASD, and without ADHD (N=28). Conclusion:Although further research is needed, the results of our study suggest that adolescents with ASD present different clinical characteristics when comorbid with ADHD.
대역 내 기준 파장을 갖는 근적외선 그리즘 실리콘 광 면 센서 분광기 설계 및 제작

An NIR grism Si optical area sensor spectrometer with in-band reference wavelength is designed and fabricated. It is composed of a transmission type diffraction grating (spatial density 300 line/mm), a rectangular N-BK7 prism (apex angle 30 degree), NIR filter( cutoff wavelength 720 nm), an imaging convex lens(focal length 50mm F1.8) and an IR modified DSLR camera (Canon EOS40D) of Si optical area sensor (3,888 × 2,592 pixels, pixel size 5.710 μm). “In-band reference wavelength function” is implemented using non-dispersive 0th diffraction order optical beam. The NIR grism spectrometer is tested in a laboratory using a halogen lamp and a Neon lamp. And the spectrometer is used in an astronomy field for obtaining the planet Jupiter NIR spectrum. In-band reference wavelength i.e. un-deviation wavelength is 846 nm, an wavelength resolution is 0.3027 nm/pixel, an wavelength resolving power is 2,794 and an wavelength range is 650~1,000 nm.
수하물 이중 적재 방지를 위한 수하물 자세교정 시스템의 효과적인 이중 수하물 분리방법

In this paper, we propose a method to effectively split the adjacent baggage that is moving on high speed conveyor of airport. The proposed method calculate the Angle Histogram(AH) that inspects background pixels within radius r based on the center point of the adjacent baggage. After that, the adjacent baggage is segmented by finding split angles at the AH. We also improved the split quality of adjoining baggage by repeatedly correcting the center point to correctly split adjacent baggage of asymmetric size. And the calculation time of AH is reduced about 1/3 by using the symmetry property of the circle. Experiments have shown that 93% of all adjacent baggage images are correctly segmented and the proposed method is effective.
