The objective of this study is to analyze customer needs for the configuration of an aircraft cockpit layout of a single piston propeller aircraft. From the result of survey, we figure out the demand of the potential customers. We consider control stick and instrument out of several items to determine which pay for the aircraft or not. We analyze types and features of the aircraft control stick and the instrument which are equipped in the same aircraft in order to figure out what is best needed through a market survey and a questionnaire survey.
The Research on the hearing damage and methods of hearing protection against aircraft noise

Nowadays aviation noise significantly affects a number of people over the world. This paper is mainly focused on the effect of temporary and permanent hearing loss of cockpit crew, flight attendants, passengers, persons in communities exposed to aircraft overflight. Also this paper describes the human hearing mechanism and the processes of temporary and permanent hearing loss. The results of research are presented and the potential for hearing loss in aviation noise environments evaluated. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) hearing protection criteria are also addressed.
잠자리 유형 모델의 앞ㆍ뒤 날개 위상차에 대한 공력연구

비정상 공기력 측정이 두 쌍의 날개를 갖는 잠자리 유형 모델의 위상차에 따른 효과를 조사하기 위하여 수행되었다 잠자리 유형 모델의 플런징 운동에 의하여 발생된 공기역학 적인 힘을 측정하기 위하여 로드셀을 사용하였다. 본 잠자리 유형 모델은 실제 잠자리와 동역학적으로 상사하며,앞ㆍ 뒤날개는 각각 0˚의 10˚의 붙임각(incidence angle)을 가지고 있다. 다른 실험 조건은 다음과 같다. 자유류의 속도는 1.6 m/sec이고, 이와 관련된 시위 레이놀즈수 2.88x10이며, 앞 ㆍ 뒤날개의 위상차는 각각 0˚,90˚,180˚, 그리고 270˚이다. 잠자리 유형 날개의 한 주기 동안 공기역학적 계수의 변화가 제시되었다. 연구 결과는 잠자리 유형 모델의 양력은 앞 ㆍ 뒤날개가 downstroke 운동을 수행할 때 발생되며, 뒷날개가 downstroke 운동과정을 수행하면 양력 발생과 함께 항력도 발생한다는 것을 보여준다. Unsteady aerodynamic force measurements were carried out in order to investigate the effects of phase difference of a dragonfly-type model with two pairs of wing. A load-cell was employed to measure the aerodynamic force generated by a plunging motion of the dragonfly-type model. The dragonfly-type model has a dynamic similarity with real one, and incidence angles of fore- and hind-wing are 0˚ and 10˚, respectively. Other experimental conditions are as follows: The freestream velocity was 1.6 m/sec and corresponding chord Reynolds number was 2.88×10³, and phase differences of fore- and hind-wing were 0˚, 90˚, 180˚ and 270˚. The variation of aerodynamic coefficients during one cycle of the wing motion is presented. Results show that the lift is generated during the downstroke motion and the drag generated during the hind-wing's downstroke motion with the lift generation.
국내 P공항의 부지 제한조건을 고려한 로컬라이저의 최적위치 선정에 관한 연구

This paper deals with an optimal determination process for the built-in location of localizer under restrictive siting area conditions of a domestic P-airport. Aerodynamic forces and moments acting on the localizer structure can be used a reference to find the safe distance from jet blast and the position at which the reasonable structural loading is applied. Wind tunnel experiment is conducted to measure aerodynamic loadings. The finite element analysis for structural deformation is employed to get the information of structural failure. A new localizer's position is determined by considering aerodynamic loading, structural strength and thermal loading due to jet blast. Deflector effect was also investigated in this study. In conclusion, the location of localizer can be placed at shorter than the current position and greatly decreased if the deflector is applied at the front of localizer.

Recently, the issue of maintaining pilot competency has emerged as one of the major challenges in the aviation industry due to irregular schedules and flight intervals caused by the global COVID-19. Therefore, a survey was conducted on airline pilots to determine how stressed they would be when returning to their flights after experiencing irregular schedules or long-term furloughs. The level of stress that pilots receive due to flight intervals was divided into periods, and correlation with general characteristics was identified to see what emotional burdens exist as the lengths of flight interval increased. As a result, burdened flight intervals and the Pilot Flying(PF) intervals were identified as a statistically significant variables. In the case of the Pilot Flying interval, the level of stress was confirmed to be worse as the flying interval was elongated, and in the case of the burdened flying interval, the tendency of the stress index were lower as the period increased. Through this study, pilots who experienced reduced flight times were found to be accompanied by considerable amount of emotional burden proportionate to the length of the interval period.

In order for the international aviation community to efficiently and safely manage the gradual increase of air passenger demand, direction suggestions of airport traffic prediction based on future airport capacity requirements, airport design and infrastructure establishment is utilized by airport traffic data that is m comparable internationally. It is a global trend to pursue more efficient airport operating system structure to accept air passenger demand through more realistic comparable data in order to escape from the structure of reckless airport establishment and infrastructure composition based on passenger demand predictions referring to simple statistical data that has existed in the past. This study aimed to seek effective operational measures for the New Jeju airport scheduled to be opened in 2025 by time-series analysis. This study also analysed airport operation strategies, air traffic distribution strategies, cargo volume increase rates and its effectiveness of airports adopting the multi-airport system that have similar operational practices and geographical conditions. This study sought the most appropriate multi airport system application measures for New Jeju airport to promote efficiency and international competitiveness.

The purpose of this study is leading to prevent the major causes of commercial-aviation fatalities about controlled-flight-into-terrain(CFIT) in approach-and-landing accidents. The paper of major analysis for controlled flight into terrain(CFIT) was Guam accident, Mokpo accident and Gimhae accident in commercial transport-aircraft accidents from 1993 through 2002. CFIT occurs when an airworthy aircraft under the control of the flight crew is flown unintentionally into terrain, obstacles or water, usually with no prior awareness by the crew. This type of accident can occur during most phases of flight, but CFIT is more common during the approach-and-landing phase. Ninety-five percent of the Guam accident, Mokpo accident, and Gimhae accident where weather was known involved IMC, fog, and rain. The paper believed that prevention for CFIT accident was education and training for flying crew and upgrade for equipment such as EGPWS, and need more research for professional organizations of airlines, and accomplishing precision approaches should be a high priority.

Aviation industry is growing rapidly, and this growth is expected to continue. However, aircraft accident rate is still high, and 65 percent of accidents occur during landing phase due to unstable approach. Therefore, this research analyzed causes and countermeasures of unstable approach. In order to derive countermeasures, this study selected P International Airport as an example case. In addition, this research analyzed A airline's FOQA data, regional Standard Operating Procedures, and 5 years of environmental factors to identified correlation of those contributing factors. In conclusion, his research concluded following results. First of all, because of P International Airport's geological features, pilots are required to conduct Circling Approach, and this advanced maneuver increases workload at the final stage of flight. Secondarily, meteorological factors such as crosswind, seasonal rain front, local visibility contributes unstable approach. Lastly, these geological and meteorological factors are interrelated, and this uncommon environment can decrease circumstantial judgement ability of pilots and jeopardize aviation safety. As a consequence, it is recommended to reinforce the Crew Resource Management and Threat & Error Management systems so that pilots can perceive identical safety target.
강화도 지역의 항공기 소음저감을 위한 인천국제공항 운항절차 검토

After a series of aircraft noise measurements conducted in Noise Sensitive Areas(NSAs) in Gangwha Island, there appeared to be no regions affected by aircraft noise of over 75 WECPNL, the legal noise level standard for aircraft operations. However, with regard to the future environment where flight operations at Incheon International Airport are likely to escalate, an INM analysis result drawn shows that the number of regions afflicted by such noise will increase in Gangwha Island. Therefore, we studied similar cases from developed countries, which are pertinent to solutions for aircraft noise abatement in the vicinity of airports and herewith provided 6 more flight operation procedures other than those 3 currently in service at Incheon International Airport.
