The objective of this study is to develop the blind control strategy and method which reduce negative effect of incoming daylight on visual comfort of occupants, minimize psychological anxieties caused by frequent motions of a blind, and maximize positive effect of incoming daylight and solar irradiation by opening/closing of a blind. As previous researches on blind controls have limited outdoor environmental conditions to those in specific regions, orientations and dates, these resulted in problems at various conditions for general-purpose application. Major problem is that the time interval and amount of blind movement do not meet the control objective at the end of control zone and discontinuous curve. To overcome these limitations revealed in the previous researches, following tasks were performed in this study. 1) To establish the control objective to accomplish the goal of this study. 2) To develop the control methods and algorithms which prevent glare on the work-plane at any time and which control the time interval and amount of blind movement to follow the control objective at various profile angle curves. 3) To validate the general-purpose applicability and performance of the developed control methods and algorithms by simulation and its data analysis at various conditions. It was found that the proposed methods and algorithms can prevent the direct glare on the work-plane at all the time and also increase the incoming daylight and solar irradiation.

The purpose of this study is to develop a automation for decision of the optimum stories in apartment buildings in order to assure the solar access right for neighboring areas. Compared to the results of the optimum stories by manual process through applying a legal case over solar access right, the proposed method provides more improved and expanded information by automating the computing process of decision of the optimum stories in apartment buildings. With the result of this research, it would be possible to furnish with advanced information for an amicable settlement against the civil petition and disputes, to reduce waste of the time and cost and to improve the efficiency of solar access right analysis works.
태양 프로파일 역함수 이론 정립 및 블라인드 제어 알고리즘

In this study, the new theory on ‘solar profile inverse function’, g(y), was defined for calculating the time(s) corresponding to solar profile angle. And the blind control algorithm with ‘solar profile inverse function’, g(y), and ‘solar profile function’, f(t), was proposed to improve the control performance. Within the boundaries of ‘optimum time interval’, ‘minimum time interval’, ‘maximum time interval’, ‘minimum blind movement’ and ‘maximum blind movement’, control algorithm with immediate decision of time and solar profile angle variations was proposed by using ‘g(y)’ and ‘f(t)’ without numerous iterative process. Through the implementation of proposed algorithm, concision, rapidity and accuracy of control could be improved. And then, the proposed ‘solar profile inverse function’ can also be utilized effectively in various field such as analysis of solar geometrical characteristics.
유럽 국가의 EPC 운영현황 분석을 통한 국내 건축물 에너지소비증명제도 활성화 방안

Many countries are making nationwide efforts to lower the environmental impact of building by reducing the building energy consumption. Korea has recently enacted new green building regulations. According to this building regulation, energy performance must be accompanied by certificates in business. The purpose of this study was to consolidate the new certification system firmly with a reflection of domestic condition and public confidence. To achieve the task for this study, we have investigated the energy performance certificate that is currently being implemented for building energy efficiency improvements in Europe. Also we have analyzed EPC by investigating the current status and items of EPBD by BPIE. Based on the analysis, we proposed some ideas for vitalize the energy consumption certification domestically.
도심지 주변건물 음영으로 인한 태양광시스템 적용 건물의 문제점 및 개선 전략

The purpose of the study is to improve the credibility on a power generation prediction of the photovoltaic system and provide the objective information to consumers. The factors that can decrease the performance of generation was analyzed considering shadings from adjacent buildings. And the strategies for improvement are proposed to estimate the actual generation of the electricity with the consideration on shadings for the system design. The results of the study may be utilized on understanding the effect of the electricity generation prior to the photovoltaic design in the city. Moreover, the development of design tool and the evaluation on the power generation while the operation can be provided for the consumers with reliable information.

The purpose of this paper is to develop the automatic computation module of optimum stories in apartment buildings in order to assure the solar access right for neighboring areas. In a different way from the existing solar access right analysis programs, the ability of proposed solar access right analysis programs in supplying information is improved and expanded by automating the computing process of optimum stories in apartment buildings with computers.<br/> With the result of this research, it would be possible to furnish advanced information for an amicable settlement against the civil petition and disputes, to reduce waste of the time and money, and to improve the efficiency of solar access right analysis work.
태양 프로파일 예측 오차 최소화를 위한 보정 방법 및 블라인드 제어 전략

The objective of this study is to deduce correction methods and control strategy that minimize solar profile prediction error to prevent glare caused by direct sunlight inlet. During the process of solar profile prediction, the major factors causing the errors are surface orientation and time. And because of this prediction error, the direct glare by the sunlight inlet may occur in blind control. In order to identify the accurate surface orientation based True North, correction methods utilizing a 3D measuring instrument and a protractor were suggested and verified through the field experiment. For solving the problems by the potential time errors, control strategy was proposed to divide the control sections using the calibrated control curve and this strategy was verified through the simulation. The proposed correction methods and control strategy in this research could prevent the direct glare all the time. And also these methods could maximize daylight and solar heat gain, because the blocked area on windows could be minimized.
잠재적 시간 오차에 따른 현휘의 발생 방지를 위한 최적 블라인드 제어

For the improvement of environmental comfort in the buildings with the blind control, the objective of this study is to prevent the direct glare caused by the daylight inlet. During the process of solar profile prediction, time are significant factors that may cause error and glare during the blind control. This research proposes and evaluates the correction and control method to minimize prediction error. For the local areas with different longitude and local standard meridian, error occurred in the process of the time conversion from local standard time to apparent solar time. In order to correct error in time conversion, apparent solar time should be recalculated after adjusting the day of year and the equation of time. To solve the problems by the potential time errors, control method is suggested to divide the control sections using the calibrated fitting-curve and this method is verified through simulations. The proposed correction and control method, which considered potential time errors by loop lop leap years, could solve the problems about direct glare caused by daylight inlet on the work-plane according to the prediction errors of solar profile. And also these methods could maximize daylight inlet and solar heat gain, because the blocked area on windows could be minimized.
