        Pt/TiO<sub>2</sub> 코팅 세라믹 허니컴 촉매를 이용한 수소 제어

        수소를 제어하기 위한 기술 중 최근에 각광받는 방법으로는 피동형 촉매 재결합기(PAR)가 있다. PAR설비에서의 핵심기술인 촉매를 제조한 후 이를 이용하여 수소 재결합 성능 평가를 실시하였다. 실험은 공간속도(GHSV)를 $35000{\sim}100000hr^{-1}$로 변경하며 실시한 결과 공간속도가 증가할수록 수소의 전화율은 감소하였으나 시간당 제거되는 수소의 중량은 크게 증가하였다. 백금의 담지량을 달리하여 촉매를 제조한 후 실험을 수행한 결과 3 wt%에서는 별다른 전화율 차이를 보이지 않았으나 활성금속의 담지량이 증가하면서 승온속도가 증가되는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 이와 같은 공간속도 및 촉매 담지량 실험 결과 본 촉매는 상온 상압에서 80% 이상의 높은 전화율을 보이는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. Passive autocatalytic recombiner (PAR) is considered as an explosive gas control system in operating NPP plants. This work investigates and evaluates hydrogen recombination performance over manufactured $Pt/TiO_2$ catalysts. When the space velocity increases, the hydrogen conversion decreased, while hydrogen depletion rate (g/sec) increases highly in $35000{\sim}100000hr^{-1}$ Gas Hourly Space Velocity (GHSV). Hydrogen conversion and depletion rate with Pt loading is investigated. As a result, there were no differences in the hydrogen conversion, but exothermic heating rate (K/sec) is increases as Pt loading increases. The catalyst showes a high hydrogen conversion efficiency of 80% under atmospheric conditions.

        암모니아수 처리에 따른 바나듐 레독스 흐름전지용 탄소펠트 전극의 전기화학적 특성

        In this study, nitrogen doped carbon felt (CFt) is prepared using thermal oxidation and liquid phase ammonia treatment toimprove the efficiency for vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFB). The electrochemical properties of prepared CFt electrodesare investigated using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and charge/discharge test. The XPS result shows that the increase of liquidphase ammonia treatment temperature leads to the increased nitrogen functional group on the CFt surface. Redox reaction characteristicsusing CV reveal that the liquid phase ammonia treated CFt electrodes are more reversible than the thermally oxidizedCFt. When CFt is treated by the liquid phase ammonia at 300 ℃, VRFB cell energy efficiency, voltage efficiency, andcurrent efficiency are increased about 6.93%, 1.0%, and 4.5%, respectively, compared to those of the thermally oxidized CFt. These results are because nitrogen functional groups on CFt help to improve the electrochemical properties of redox reactionbetween electrode and electrolyte interface.

        수소 제거 촉매의 잠수함 수소제거기 적용 가능성 연구

        In Korea, starting with the ship Dolphin(SSM-051) in 1983, energy sources are diesel engines and diesel submarines, which are batteries. A diesel submarine uses electricity generated from a diesel generator to charge a storage battery and uses the charged electricity to drive an electric motor connected to a propeller for propulsion.. The rechargeable battery used here uses a lead-acid battery, and the lead-acid battery generates hydrogen by electrolysis of an electrolyte through a chemical reaction during charging. In 2019, an explosion occurred on a tourist submarine, injuring three employees, and it was confirmed that the cause was an explosion caused by a hydrogen gas leak. The purpose of this study is to confirm the applicability of the hydrogen removal catalyst to satisfy the lower limit of the explosion of hydrogen gas generated during the operation of a tourist submarine or a military submarine that uses a diesel engine and battery as an energy source.

        증례 : 신부전과 빈혈로 발현된 이소성 부갑상선암 1예

        저자들은 일차성 부갑상선기능항진증으로 인한 고칼슘혈증, 급성신부전, 대사성 골질환 및 심한 빈혈을 보인 환자에서 이소성 종격동 부갑상선암을 절제한 후 고칼슘혈증 뿐 아니라 골수섬유증에 의한 빈혈과 급성신부전도 호전된 증례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Parathyroid carcinoma is an uncommon cause of PTH-related hypercalcemia with a reported incidence of 0.4% to 5% of all cases of primary hyperparathyroidism. Even though the clinical manifestations of hyperparathyroidism are more severe in patients with parathyroid carcinoma than in those with parathyroid adenoma, it is difficult to differentiate carcinoma from adenoma preoperatively. Parathyroid carcinomas are usually larger and firmer than parathyroid adenomas and patients with parathyroid carcinoma have a higher incidence of renal dysfunction, bone disease and gastrointestinal symptoms. Anemia is an uncommon clinical feature of parathyroid carcinoma. There have been no prior cases of ectopic parathyroid carcinomas reported to date. In this article, we report the case of a 26-year-old man who developed severe anemia and acute renal failure due to an ectopic parathyroid tumor and was diagnosed with parathyroid carcinoma postoperatively. His serum calcium levels returned to normal and the anemia resolved postoperatively.(Korean J Med 71:435-441, 2006)

        근원적인 화재예방을 위한 CHF 적용 가능성 연구

        Due to industrial bodies requiring various chemical substances, todays industrial society has diversified chemical substances, and along with this, the chemical substances used are becoming more complex and larger. Accordingly, most industries discharge volatile organic compounds and mainly apply activated carbon adsorption method as a removal method. However, there is always a fire risk in the activated carbon adsorption process of organic solvents, and there are many cases where the site manager or designer is unaware of the fire phenomenon in the activated carbon adsorption tower. In 2015, a fire broke out in an activated carbon storage tank of a synthetic fiber manufacturer in Ulsan, and the fire spread to nearby junk stores. This study aims to confirm the possibility of preventing fire and explosion through experiments so that CHF(Carbon Honeycomb Filter) can be used as a fundamental fire prevention and renewable eco-friendly material.

        조기 폐암과 동반된 내장형 Botryomycosis 1 예

        Botryomycosis is a rare, chronic and suppurative disease that is often mistaken clinically and histologically for a fungal infection, because the histologic feature shows a cluster of bacteria found within an eosinophilic matrix or capsule, giving the appearance of granules mimicking the sulfur granules of actinomycosis. Staphylococcus aureus is the most common organism cultured from lesions of botryomycosis, but other bacteria have also been isolated and implicated, including Psudomonas aeruginosa, E. coli, Proteus spp., Bacillus spp.. In some case, multiple pathogenic bacteria were found on culture. This disease has two patterns of organ involvement. The more common type is cutaneous type, which involves the skin, subcutaneous soft tissue, muscle and bone. The other is visceral type which involves the lungs, liver, tongue, orbit, bowel, brain, kidney or prostate. We report a case of brain and pulmonary botryomycosis in a 60 year-old man, who have early lung cancer. Botryomycosis was diagnosed by brain mass removal, PCNA and bronchoscopy, and lung cancer was detected incidentally by bronchoscope. The patient was treated with the Penicillin G after operation of brain mass, and right pneumonectomy was done.
