This paper deals with the design of the manufacturing information system which is able to respond rapidly to various requirements of customers in make-to-order environment. The system is required to maintain a consistent flow of information from the start to the end. For this, we adopt an approach based on Information Engineering (IE) methodology, which consists of four stages: planning, analysis, basic design, and detail design. The first is a planing stage which establishes a project goal and organizes a project team. In the second stage, current activities are analyzed and problems are defined. The basic design is accomplished in the third stage, where a project scope is defined and an overall feature of the new system is presented. And then, in the last stage, the operation plan of each subsystem is drawn up in detail and all subsystems are integrated. This study applies the methodology to the case of H company and focuses on designing forms which are easy-to-write, easy-to-understand, and field-oriented. These forms are interrelated and can be used for systematic analysis and design. By applying them to the system design, we have obtained effect of reducing cost and time.

Statements of problem: Zirconia core is used for posterior fixed partial dentures because it's good mechanical properties. Stress is concentrated on connectors in fixed partial dentures, so the proper design of connector areas is needed for adequate mechanical long-term properties of any prosthesis. The area of connector is critical, but tooth size and surrounding soft tissue limit the connector design. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare fracture strengths between different connector designs of zirconia core for posterior fixed partial dentures manufactured with CAD/CAM system and determining the optimal connector design satisfying strength and hygiene. Material and method: The following four groups of 40 posterior fixed partial denture specimens(each group 10) were fabricated as followed; group 1 vertical height of connector is 3mm (control group, all groups have the same condition); group 2, lingual vertical 1mm reinforcement on connector; group 3, lingual vertical 2mm reinforcing on connector and group 4, lingual vertical 3mm reinforcing on connector. Specimens were subjected to compressive loading on the central fossa of pontic by instron. SEM was used to identify the initial crack and characterize the fracture mode. Results: The results were as follows: 1. The mean fracture load of the non-lingual reinforcing group was 1212N and the lingual vertical 1mm reinforcing group was 1510N, the lingual vertical 2mm reinforcing group was 1882N, the lingual vertical 3mm reinforcing group was 1980N. 2. The reinforcing groups were statistically significant compared to non-reinforcing groups(P<0.001). 3. There were 2, 3mm reinforcing groups that were statistically significant compared to 1mm reinforcing groups(P<0.001), and the 3mm reinforcing group was not statistically significant compared to 2mm reinforcing groups(P>0.05) 4. Fractures were initiated in gingival embrasures of connectors and processed to the loading site. Conclusion: In this study, lingual reinforcement of connector for improved strength of zirconia based fixed partial denture is nessasary. And long-term study for clinical application is required

How to efficiently manage assembly blocks at shipyard has been a hot management issue in the shipbuilding Industry, because it has significantly influenced on the productivity of shipbuilding process. This paper introduces the real practice of assembly block operations management in Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) and the Ship Assembly Block Operations Optimization (SABOO) project that h3s been launched in HHI as an academy-and-industry collaborative project, aimed to diagnose problems, propose possible solutions, and develop a prototype system in order to search ways of improving the assembly block operations management. Through the field interviews, observations, and benchmarking studies, the SABOO project diagnosed the most rudimental and urgent problem and proposed possible solutions. In addition, the SABOO project developed the prototype system that embodied the visual function of monitoring the shipyard on a real-time and the Interactive block assignment function that utilized the assembly block assignment algorithm developed by the project. As a whole, the SABOO project tested the possibility and gained an insight in extending the functions of block transportation/stockyard management system.

A company establishes a sale strategy through the inventory to set the purchasing requisite of the customer in a global company environment. And a sale company can become the reason of a sale opportunity loss because of a customer satisfaction rate if it does not have the all thing to want a purchasing company in a business-to-business.<BR> This paper analyzes the association relation of the goods which the customer orders. And we use a datamining technique for an association analysis of goods. The result of such analysis enhances the ability to get the orders of customer and may minimize a sale opportunity loss. We present a case of the ‘D’ company inventory management system, in order to verify the effect of the proposal system.

This paper addresses a problem of machining route selection and determination of input quantity in a multi-stage flexible flow system with non-identical parallel machines. The problem considers a subcontracting, machining restraint, and machine yield. We develop a nonlinear programing with the objective of minimizing the sum of in-house processing cost and subcontracting cost. To solve this model, we introduce a single-processor parallel genetic algorithm(SPGA) to improve a weak point for the declined robustness of simple genetic algorithm(SGA). The efficiency of the SPGA is examined in comparison with the SGA for the same problem. In result of examination the SPGA is to provide the excellent solution than the solution of the SGA.
수주생산환경의 B2B e - 마켓플레이스에서 사후보증처리에 관한 연구

판매 후 구매자에 대한 신속하고 투명한 사후처리는 매우 중요하다. 그러나 B2B에 대한 연구는 주로 효율적인 탐색이나 협상과 관련이 있으며, 사후보증에 대한 것은 찾아보기 힘들다. 여기서는 수주생산환경의 B2B 마켓플레이스에서 판매 후 고객만족을 위한 체계적인 사후보증처리 방안을 제안한다. 관련된 기업과 마켓메이커 사이의 비즈니스 관계에 따라 하자처리, 피드백처리, 그리고 작업의뢰처리로 구분하여 각각의 프로세스를 정의한다.

본 연구에서는 기업간 상거래에서 주문업무의 처리를 위해, 기존의 fax 또는 VAN에 의한 방법을 인터넷을 통한 Web 기반에서 이루어지는 기업간 전자상거래 방안을 제시한다. 또한 주문과 관련된 영업활동에서 발생되는 각각의 문제들을 정의하고 해결방안을 제시한다. 본 연구에서는 제시된 주문처리 방안을 적용하기 위해 주문생산 환경을 가진 H사의 flange제품을 대상으로 프로토타입 시스템(prototype system)을 구현한다. 이를 통해 인터넷을 통한 주문처리 업무의 효율적인 처리 방법을 보여준다.
Approximate Continuous Review Inventory Models with the Consideration of Purchase Dependence

This paper introduces the existence of purchase dependence that was identified during the analysis of inventory operations practice at a sales agency of dealing with spare parts for ship engines and generators. Purchase dependence is an important factor in designing an inventory replenishment policy. However, it has remained mostly unaddressed. Purchase dependence is different from demand dependence. Purchase dependence deals with the purchase behavior of customers, whereas demand depend-ence deals with the relationship between item-demands. In order to deal with purchase dependence in inventory operations practice, this paper proposes (Q, r) models with the consideration of purchase dependence. Through a computer simulation experiment, this paper compares performance of the proposed (Q, r) models to that of a (Q, r) model ignoring purchase dependence. The simulation experiment is conducted for two cases : a case of using a lost sale cost and a case of using a service level. For a case of using a lost sale cost, this paper calculates an order quantity, Q and a reorder point, r using the iterative procedure. However, for a case of using a service level, it is not an easy task to find Q and r. The complexity stems from the interactions among inventory replenishment policies for items. Thus, this paper considers the genetic algorithm (GA) as an optimization method. The simulation results demonstrates that the proposed (Q, r) models incur less inventory operations cost (satisfies better service levels) than a (Q, r) model ignoring purchase dependence. As a result, the simulation results supports that it is important to consider purchase dependence in the inventory operations practice.
